Our mother moved into Lodge Lane Assisted Living Facility last month and we are all happy, because she is so happy living there. Lodge Lane is not only luxurious, but it is also quite affordable a major factor which pleasantly surprised us all.
The staff is very caring, attentive, and genuinely nice which makes everyone sleep well at night knowing the care that our mother gets is so wonderful and sincere. We have been looking for an assisted living facility in the tri-state area for awhile and were so relieved when we found Lodge Lane for our mother to move into.
Her studio apartment is quite large with a small refrigerator, microwave, and sink along one wall with cabinets. The bathroom is large and roomy enough for her to use either her wheelchair or walker to move around in and get done what she needs to do. Looking out her window on the beautiful courtyard patios is almost like a picture and she enjoys the view with the scenery. At the end of each hallway is a large beautiful lounge sitting area with couches, chairs and tables plus an elevator so residents don't have to walk too far from their apartments to access an elevator to go anywhere.
Our mother decided for the Non-Kosher meal plan as she enjoys eating shrimp and crab. The food is absolutely delicious as she has enjoyed meals such as sirloin steak, salmon, duck, cornish game hen, and lamb chops to name a few. She likes that she is asked what she would like eat and given a choice for her meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner and not to circle it on a menu like in a hospital or an institution. There is also a dining room where we can all sit down and eat with her when we bring her favorite sandwiches Philly Cheesesteaks and Subway. There is a Deli there that is open to the public as well as for the residents 3 days a week and people come from all over for their lunch, dinner, and breakfast that they serve.
What is nice are the activities that the residents can partake in if they care too and most do as the staff is very engaging and make it interesting, enjoyable, and fun. The Media Room has armchair aerobics during the morning and movie nights during the week with ice cream afterwards. There is a hair salon where both men and women can get their hair done along with manicures and pedicures if they choose. Physical Therapy is a must have for our mother and she is progressing and doing so well.
The other residents at Lodge Lane have been very welcoming and friendly and are all so nice, engaging, and helpful with one another.
We all are as comfortable and sleeping as well as our mother at night knowing she is happy living where she is with the care she is getting at Lodge Lane.
Pam R., Admissions Director head of marketing for Lodge Lane, was so patient and wonderful answering every question we had. Pam gave us a fabulous tour of the Lodge Lane facility and afterwards we all decided that this was the place for our mother to move into. Thank you very much Pam and thank you Lodge Lane.
