From Grand Oaks Assisted Living

Located in one of Northwest Washington DC's most desirable neighborhoods, Grand Oaks offers the comfort and amenities of a gracious Georgian-style residence. The apartments are spacious and the appointments are tasteful. Our residence provides sitting rooms with fireplaces, elegant dining rooms, terraces and gardens, a club room for private entertaining and a quiet library for reading and reflection.

A few of the great amenities we offer include a full-service beauty salon, chapel, business center, fitness equipment, the warm water pool at The Sibley Renaissance and three daily meals prepared by Grand Oaks' executive chef.

At Grand Oaks, freedom from everyday tasks enables you to enjoy life fully. You can arrange for customized presonal assistance on a regular basis or call for help whenever you need it- anytime during the day or night. Nurses are on duty 24 hours a day and the many resouces of Sibley Memorial Hospital are close at hand.

Life here is active and varied with cultural, intellectual and social activities. We offer art, exercise and Tai Chi classes as well as stimulating performances and lectures followed by lively discussions. Visit friends, dine, shop and attend cultural events at the Strathmore, the Kennedy Center and many popular DC museums.

The restaurant style dining service at Grand Oaks offers choices in seating, mealtimes and your menu preferences. Special entrees are created daily by our Executive Chef. Residents also have the option of selection from a variety of cold and hot sandwiches, soups, salads and fresh assortment.

Grand Oaks is part of Sibley Hospital which has a century-long reputation for medical excellence, compassionate care and strong involvement in the community. It is managed by Johns Hopkins, one of the nation's most respected providers of long-term care.
