I visited this facility
Magnolia Park was a very nice place. The staff was doing very well. The apartments were fine. The dining area looked very nice. They had somebody who did the residents' hair and someone to do pedicures. They had a van that they could transport people in.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
My mother has been in for two months Magnolia Park. They’re not as involved as the assisted living side. The dining area has two long tables in the kitchen area. It’s nothing super fancy, but it’s nice, and the food is good. It’s adequate for the building.

I visited this facility
We visited Magnolia Park. It was really nice, but I knew immediately that that would not work for my folks because they only have single rooms, and my folks wanted to have a double room. That was the only thing against this community but it was very lovely and the staff was extremely friendly. They're just super friendly and just really nice. Again, the facility was so small that I think everybody is like family there.

I visited this facility
This facility is tucked behind the owner's personal residence in a nice neighborhood, giving lots of privacy and security. There are two sections, assisted and Alzheimer's each with its own kitchen, both of which were clean. The owner is a nurse so there's always one around. I liked the grounds with the little fenced-in garden, caged doves, two resident cats, and one rambunctious puppy on time out. The manager brings her dog to work and the residents love it. It warmed my heart to see one of the Alzheimer's patients sitting with her little lap dog next to her. The residents in the other hall were gathered at a large table doing activities, eating, or just sitting. This place really felt like home to me; my guide even brings her daughter to work with her. The rooms were ample and clean, no odors. Xmas decorations were laying about as the tree was being trimmed. Everyone seemed at ease, my guide even invited me to meet some of the residents. Finding the main office was a bit difficult, but that was the only down side to this place.
From Magnolia Park Assisted Living
Welcome to Magnolia Park Assisted Living
The goal of Magnolia Park Assisted Living continuum of care is to permit an individual to live in the least restrictive environment with the greatest amount of privacy for as long as possible. Loss of partial independence need not lead to permanent loss of self-esteem or loss of power to exercise competent choices and decisions in one’s own life.
Magnolia Park Assisted Living philosophy is to preserve and support self-esteem and independent individual identity and enable its residents to enlarge their social circle and expand their opportunities for sharing and giving to others. Magnolia Park Assisted living provides an environment which serves to bring the residents together, re-empowering them to the fullest feasible extent by helping to remove any sense of failure and decline through compassionate help.
Our greatest challenge lies in achieving the right balance of services so that independence is encouraged without jeopardy to safety and and well-being. Our aim is to provide the security and and comfort of well-being for all residents, by means of an appropriate blend of personal care, health care, spiritual enrichment and proactive lifestyles.
Dementia & Alzheimer's Care
Magnolia Park Assisted Living is focused firmly on the individual and on providing a safe, familiar, yet stimulating environment. Magnolia Park provides the comfort and security in a separate environment for those with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other forms of memory loss. The loving and caring staff understands each individual resident’s needs. They are able to recognize the resident’s different preferences. We know that memory loss is as specific as ones DNA; it affects every resident differently, and we focus on caring for each individual and treat them with personalized care allowing them to respond positively. We have a physician and a nurse to treat them in a home like setting.
