My tour of Valparaiso Senior Village was excellent. I met the admissions lady and the senior manager. They all walked me around and answered my questions. For just one person, the room seemed very roomy. It had a kitchen facility, a refrigerator, and a sink, but no stove or oven. For common areas, they had a dining room, an exercise room, and a movie room. They had an entryway that seemed welcoming and a lot of the seniors seemed to be down there reading and talking.

Valparaiso Senior Village was OK. I'd say that Valparaiso was just kind of one notch below the other facility that I toured. They were good and they were cheaper. I didn't see any activities, but I saw the activity rooms and stuff like that. The staff talked about activities, but I didn't see a calendar. I think they had a veterans group. The staff who assisted me was nice.
