I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother-in-law is in Magnolia Court. She moved in there because she had some friends who lived there when her husband was alive. It was decent. It was clean. The staff is very nice. She likes their menu, and they treat her well. She has a little apartment, it's really cute. You have to fix up the apartment yourself. They give her her shower bath once or twice a week. They have a little salon there, they have a hairdresser there that you can go ahead and make an appointment to get your hair done. They have a bus that takes you to different appointments. A lot of times the bus is broken down, but for the most part, the bus drivers have a nice rapport with her, and we can call her on her cell phone as she wants. They'll take them to doctor's appointments, and they do little excursions. They haven't done it lately. I think there's something wrong with the bus again. But in the past, she was going once a week, like on a Friday around town, and going to different places just to kind of get them out. It's a good option. They have bingo and movies, but my mother-in-law doesn't participate.

The thing I liked the most about Magnolia Court was that they had, I believe, 18 or 16-hour nursing care, actual nurses. And the room seemed big and comfortable. They had social activities, and plenty of snacks, and the meals seemed nice. They had a barber shop, and we visited it. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice. He was new, but still pretty knowledgeable. My suggestion was not about appearance, but it was more about maintenance. I think the floors could have been swept better.

My tour at Magnolia Court went smoothly. Everybody there was nice, and they had no problem answering any of my questions. The facility looked nice. It was kind of modern and clean compared to some other ones. They had availability and the price was reasonable. We're trying to get my mom her own room, so we focused on those. We had to provide our own furniture and everything, but it was clean. It was bright and airy, and fairly modern. It had everything she needed, like her own bathroom and stuff like that. They had weekly events that happened 4 to 5 times a week. So, they would have plenty of events to keep my mom occupied. They also had a cook or a chef who could cook real meals and full-time care. They had facilities or equipment that they could use to listen to music, read books, or go walk outside. They had stuff or events that could keep my mom occupied. They had a library, a courtyard, and living areas where they can kind of socialize. The staff were nice.

The food at Magnolia Court was really good. The cook came out and was talking to us and she also seemed good. The facility looked nice. They had an activity room, a theater, and things like that, but I don't think the activities were near what the other facility was. The lady that gave us the tour was quite good. Things just weren't as accessible. Like some of the rooms are far away from the restaurant and activities. It was in a big square, but still, if you had a room close, it would be nice. Otherwise, it would be a little difficult, I think, for a lot of people. I like the room though. It had a little kitchen and that was pretty good, and it's in a good location.

My mom was a resident of Magnolia Court. It was excellent, but my mom has since passed. But Magnolia was magnificent. I give it a ten-plus rating. The nurses were very efficient, the other care workers were just nice. My mom felt at home and safe. I would recommend them highly. She was in assisted living, but she was very sick and took a lot of medication. She had breathing problems and they took care of everything. I ate there the first day with my mother, and it was excellent. I had my grandson with me, and he said he's never had better food and he's nine years old. He said, "this food is amazing." And my mom loves it. She never had a bad meal. It felt like home. Right when you walk in the door, it was just cozy. And that's what my mom needed, something that felt just like home. Her bedroom was set up just perfectly. I could put everything in, from her bedroom and her TV, everything fit perfectly. In the other places, it didn't seem like I had the room perfectly like that. I checked out the sizes of the rooms and it just was the fit. She did the activities. I even have videos that the staff sent me of my mother involved in the activities, which is a memory I have now. They have so many. They have bingo and puzzles. They have a library where my mom spent time. She played three of the games and she enjoyed all of them. She got active. They had Follow the Leader and my mom was the leader at the time. And I have a video of that, too. The price was a bargain for the care my mom needed. She needed a nurse so many times a day, five times just for breathing sessions where she had to use a nebulizer. And it was done like clockwork. She took 15 medications a day, and that's beside the breathing treatments. And everything was spot on. My mom felt at home and people were so friendly that the people that served her food in the eating area knew her name. And that's a big thing. They don't wear name tags there. The people just remember your name all the time. And that's what made her feel at home.

Seems like a really nice facility! I went in searching for a place for my dad and was glad to see how helpful the staff was. They made a harder situation more bearable. The rooms are beautiful and the local area isn’t too bad either. Definitely worth considering

Magnolia Court was nice. When we went there, there was supposed to be an appointment scheduled for us but it was never scheduled. When I got there, they were surprised because there was nobody in the business office. So the receptionist took me around and she was very friendly. The showers were updated and it was just pretty. We looked at studios and you have to bring your own furniture. You only have a microwave and a small fridge so you eat in the dining room. They had a game room, a movie room, and bingo, too.

I toured Magnolia Court, and I thought the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The facility was clean, and it gave a warm and comforting vibe. The rooms were a decent size, and they had a window that faced into the middle courtyard, which was pretty. The view was good, but it was just into the facility. The rooms were adjoining rooms, there were two sides. Two residents would stay in each room with a kind of walkway in between the two. That's the reason why I decided that we wouldn't use that, because my father-in-law wouldn't like that. There were no private rooms available when I toured. The common dining area was beautiful. It was very welcoming. It had a lot of ambient light, and it was spacious. The grounds were nicely kept, it has a lot of greenery, and safe for the residents to enjoy without fear of them getting out. The facility was gated. There was a community area, and they had some sort of game going on where the residents were out of their rooms and partaking in some social activities.

We were greeted very nicely at Magnolia Court. Everybody was kind. Our guide was the chef for the kitchen and he showed us around and explained everything to us. It was pretty informative. We liked it. It was clean, and it looked pretty inviting and comfortable for everybody. We put a deposit on a room, but my parents' plans changed and they decided not to do it. It was the first one we looked at, we liked it, and we felt comfortable that they would like it too and that's just kind of how it went. The program director and the supervisor were very nice and informative. They made us a four-pack of homemade muffins and we took them home and had those.

I went to Magnolia Court last September. The person who gave me the tour was very helpful and friendly. There was a very convivial group of seniors in the assisted living portion, who were hanging out together and seeing each other regularly. That was very appealing, but the memory care area people seemed very alone. They're people with Alzheimer's, and they don't have a lot of stimulation during the day. There are activities periodically, but mostly they seem very lonely, either in their rooms or where they go to eat. Everything seemed really good in terms of upkeep and cleanliness. I was able to visit at least one room that one of the residents was very proud of and decorated really nicely with lots of personal belongings. The rooms were very nice. It's just the level of stimulation and social interaction is fairly limited for people who have Alzheimer's.

I put a deposit down on a room in Magnolia Court. I put a deposit down the same day I toured it because it just felt so right to me. It's clean and quiet. They have lots of services and lots of activities. The head chef has a meeting once a month on Mondays, where the residents can get together and request what they would like to eat. They have transportation. They accept small dogs. They have a fenced-in courtyard, where your little dog can run around. The staff was polite, good natured, and very helpful. As a matter of fact, they just knew that I had an appointment at 3:30. He baked some muffins for me. I looked at the menu and from what I've seen, it looked really good. I'm getting a studio. I have my own furniture.

I picked Magnolia Court for my father because of the individual room, and it's more like an apartment setting than a hospital setting. They're very easy to work with and very thorough with the information they gave me. The place is very clean and well organized. The rooms are very nice. They have very good front end staff, so they're very easy to get questions or answers if you have anything in regards to the bill payment or care needs. They were very receptive and easy to work with. I have not eaten the food, but my dad said it's all right. He's not very hungry because he's still dealing with health issues. He says the desserts are delicious, but he's not much of an eater when he's not doing well. They have quite a few things. They have a movie theater type area, an activities room (where they do bingo and things like that), and day trips to different areas (like going to Cache Creek Casino to having a luncheon at one of the local restaurants). They have quite a few activities that they plan out for the people living there. Magnolia Court was the most receptive and looked the best that I had seen from group homes.

I toured Magnolia Court for my sister. I didn't like that it is downplayed, and they just hand you the brochure. The one who assisted us was the son of the owners, and he doesn't really know the details of it. It was very weird. It was clean and everything, but it was not homey. It was kind of a boxy looking building, and it is a little expensive too.

We chose Magnolia Court for my mother because of the services provided there and because the people that work there seem very nice. Her room is a good size and decent. The food and the dining area are good. They have various games, there's a series of events that occur throughout the day, games, cards, and dancing.

My mother is in the memory care at Magnolia Court. We like it because it has an assisted living so she can go over to the other side when we're there for meals. It seems very professional. The staff is caring and open to any suggestions. It's comfortable and they go out of their way, especially in the memory care. Her room is shared so we hung a curtain to separate it from the other side, but we wish it had a wall. They have two activities people all day long in the memory care. They play bingo, they do exercises every morning, play cards, there are brownie socials, matinees in the theater with popcorn, canvas painting, happy hour with music, dominoes, and Catholic services every Thursday. The meals are amazing. The new owners are going to be renovating the whole place.

It was lovely. It was a very nice facility and the caregivers were just very nice to deal with and very helpful. The rooms were very nice. We looked into a studio for my dad and it was very roomy, very clean and the bathroom was what I really liked because it would be very easy for him to go into. It had a very nice feeling to it. It had a little kitchenette with a small refrigerator and a microwave. The facility itself was very pretty. They had some outside access where you could go for a walk, but yet you were not leaving the grounds. They had activities as far as exercises and they played games. They even had a shuttle that would pick you up to take you to shopping.

It had a lot of activities. The rooms were quite nice. In the locked part of the facility, you had to share a room, which you get used to. I liked the place; it was satisfactory and very good.

My mom-in-law was here for about 10 days when she was back in the hospital. Their staff is excellent. It’s a very loving, caring, and wonderful place. They are also very family oriented and very warm. The grounds are beautiful. When you go in there, you feel very welcome. They do have activities, but since she was only there for 10 days, I am not that familiar. They have a library, an activity room, lunch rooms, and plenty of place for you to sit privately and talk. They also have a big gathering room where everybody can go together and participate in songs and entertainment. Their food is wonderful. They have a variety and very good taste.

My stepfather is at this community. There are a lot of military individuals there, and the ratio of men to women is about 50/50 which to my understanding is a bit unusual. Everything so far has been positive. He seems to be functioning well there, and I think he is getting good care; so far so good.

My mom is here, and it is very nice. She likes and enjoys the food. They have activities. They take them out to the movies, to the casino, and to eat. They have a schedule of what they do for each month. The staff is very nice and open. They let me know if she is out of things, if she needs more things, and how she's doing. They are very informative, and everyone is very friendly.
