I visited this facility
I would not recommend this facility to anyone who cares for their family member. My grandfather recently passed away and this facility had a lot to do with that. He had dementia and this facility took awful care of him. I feel bad saying that because there were some nice staff but overall it was a horrible, awful experience. Most days the door was left propped open because they didn't want to deal with coming to open it when the doorbell rang (very safe for residents with dementia... Not) and other days confused older residents would open the door, at any moment they could have wandered off and how do you know the people they let in were safe? My grandfather had to be transported to the ER multiple times for dehydration that almost killed him thanks to this lovely facility for not offering him liquids very often. One time he was transported without our permission or knowledge and we found our hours later he had been sitting alone in the hospital all day.. The things I saw in this place were horrible. My poor grandfather needed help eating and we would watch him have soup pouring all over him and they said they did not really care, the staff member actually said she would rather him make a mess and clean him up rather than feed him. He was skin and bones. No one was properly feeding or giving him fluids. We witnessed other confused residents eating napkins and told the staff and they said oh well. The majority of staff members were extremely unprofessional and it's pretty bad when there is a sign hanging on the door that says only one staff member can smoke at a time, yet multiple times I was there and 2 or 3 staff members were outside smoking. They should not even be smoking while on this job at all, the sick residents are not getting any better from the smell of smoke all over the employees. There is not even a proper sign form the roadway to let you know where to turn. We were fortunate enough to get him out of there and into a very nice facility but there was so much damage already done to his frail worn out body. So please, if you care for your family member in the very least bit, please look for a better facility, do not let them suffer here.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
Generations Elder Care seems very nice, and they seem very caring. It is located very nicely. My sister’s room is just large enough for her. The staff members are very nice and very helpful. They do have activities for the residents, and they make them go to the dining room to eat. They don’t want them to eat in their rooms; they want them to move around. I haven’t eaten there, but I was able to observe her eating and what they serve, and I met the cook and everybody. From what I saw, the food was very good, and if they didn’t like it, the cook fixed something that they would eat.
