Reviews of Monte Vista Place

I am a friend or relative of a resident
My family opted to move my grandparents to a care facility once they were no longer able to care for themselves. My grandfather had Parkinson's disease and my grandmother's dementia worsened to the point she couldn't care for him. We tried hiring a nurse to visit their home, but eventually they needed round-the-clock care. The decision to move them to a care facility was tough and we took a long time to choose. Monte Vista is a small, cozy facility with just a handful of residents. Because it is a house converted to a facility, it has more of a homey feel than the often sterile and hospital-like larger facilities. It's nicely decorated with a garden courtyard and some of the rooms have attached yards as well. I loved every staff member that I met and I felt they really loved their jobs and cared about the residents. They had people come play music around the holidays and always made a big turkey dinner for Thanksgiving (It was good too! The whole family would come over). Though my grandparents have moved on now and the final years were tough with their deteriorating conditions, I really felt the staff at Monte Vista made the whole thing easier and more pleasant for my family.
