The lady at Long Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care, Melody, gave me a full view of the whole facility. I liked all the activities that they provide. The tour advisor stated that they do keep a consistent eye on their residents, making sure that nothing potentially bad could happen to them. I liked their ability to be driving them to different things, like Walmart and all that. Melody was very helpful. She did go a step above and beyond to the extent that even if their facility was not something that could be chosen, she helped to provide information to be able to assist going forward in looking for a facility. So, she did give extra information just to be able to further assist. The dining room was nicely decorated and definitely had good, sufficient space. There was no tight knit corner and it was nicely designed and laid out. It was a fairly new facility. They had a decorated courtyard, a salon, games, and recreation type of room, and an area that's designated for rehab.

My wife has moved into Long Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care. She's already made friends with other clients in the community. They are exceedingly good at their jobs. However, my wife has some issues where she can't get up in the middle of the night to go potty, so she does it in bed. In the morning, her bed linens and her bed clothes are going to be soiled. We had already gotten that across to the folks that run that particular area that she would need to have her clothes washed every day and the comments were, "Yes. Oh, good. We'll get it done. No problem," and it hasn't been done. She's only been there a few days and her clothes have not been washed yet. She's in a shared room. They share the bathroom. They have their own closets. The closets are lockable. They are allowed to put their own things on the walls. The facility will have someone hook up their television so that they can watch TV in their room. Generally, it's quite good. They are allowed to take a nap after lunch, which is probably a good thing. They have several volunteers that come in and teach various games and word programs and chat with them and sometimes read to them, and they're encouraged to do so. There are several of the aides who have gotten hooked in this and they will actually sit down and read to the patients. They get them up in the morning, get them to go potty, clean them up, get them dressed, and then they have an exercise class and they're able to move around the facility. There is an enclosed patio that is hooked up to the memory center where they can actually go out there and sit in the sun or chat or play games or whatever they want, but getting out of the memory center itself, you have to have a code. They have a computer system that when you come to visit, you sign in and you get a little badge to wear, and then you sign out when you leave. This helps the facility keep a record of who's coming and who's going and when. There are several people that the spouse comes in early in the morning and literally stays all day. If you would prefer to eat with them, I think the meals are relatively cheap. The food is very good, and usually there is a choice. I've eaten there and it's definitely better than my cooking.

I toured Long Creek Assisted Living. I was only there for a little while, and I saw the person that handles the new residents. I saw a few rooms. It's a very, very nice place. I didn't tour it as much as I did with the other place, but it was a very nice place. I can't say anything negative about it because I didn't see anything negative. I went for assisted living, and they also have memory care. The place is very clean-looking.

My wife is in Long Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care. It's outstanding, beautiful, well laid out, and very secure. The staff is wonderful, and the facilities and everything they provide are outstanding. They have church services, games, and an exercise program. The food is excellent, and they've have a wide variety of choices. They tailor it to whatever the person likes or enjoys. Its' well prepared and done by a chef, and the portions are more than enough.

Long Creek just opened, and there was no one yet when we toured the place. They were a good location for us, and it was over the top. The people that assisted us were amazing, and they were all senior medical professionals at one point. The facility was over decorated, with crystal chandeliers, and was very high end. It's like walking into a hotel, instead of walking into your home
