I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Our family appreciates all that the Arbors had to offer Mom while she was there. Everyone there was so helpful and kind to her and to us. We have nothing but accolades for the Arbors; Very personable, employees working together as teams, encouraging our loved ones, caring for them, offering creative activities. The services such as the hair salon, and podiatrist coming in as well as the wonderful nurses on staff made our life easier as well. We enjoyed using the Pub last year for the family to celebrate Mom’s 96th birthday. Many of the Aids became special to mom, many went above and beyond. Courtney in the office was so pleasant and was always available to answer our questions. Linda & Casandra at the front desk become our friends. The facility and apartments are bright and kept very clean by a great cleaning team. Laundry and bedding done up every week. The Maintenance guys were on the ball, quick to respond, accommodating and very pleasant. Mom did have some issues with the food, but it is very hard to please everyone as people are so different in their preferences. The chef went out of her way to help resolve any complaints. I found the director, Pattie Ricketts, to be very involved and caring. Mom enjoyed times when Pattie stopped in and visited with her. She added the personal touch, a listening ear, she could solve problems, and had a fun personality. I thought she was very good at her job and seemed to like what she does which makes all the difference. Sadly my mom passed away so we are no longer there but I certainly recommend the Arbors in Stoughton to any one who is looking for a place for their loved ones. I felt it was the perfect size, offered the nicest apartment space (very spacious) and the price very reasonable compared to other places we looked at. Mom was at Linden Ponds in Hingham before going to the Arbors. What they offered for assisted care was very limited compared to what the Arbors had to offer. Our family was so happy that mom had two years with the Arbor family. . . and yes they became family to us!

My mother-in-law has been at The Arbors for 6 months, and she couldn't be happier. She has the opportunity to be involved in the various wonderful activities designed to keep mind, body and spirit active. There are a great variety of things to do, from daily exercise, art, music, quizzes, specific social interaction with other residents programs, and more. She loves going to the dining room for meals - which are nourishing, tasty and pleasantly presented. Her apartment is very comfortable and suitable for her. The staff is friendly and for the most part does for her all she needs, Recently there was a small outbreak of the Covid virus. The family was immediately notified of the actions being taken to assist those infected, and those who were not to continue to be protected. It was handled very professionally, and resolved by very caring management and staff, as quickly as possible.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother went into Arbors at Stoughton assisted living. She's already settled in there. The apartment itself was really, really nice, clean, and very pretty. The main thing is the living space that she's in. With Covid and everything, I think my mother kind of feels like she's trapped inside there because they haven't taken her out yet. Overall, the food and the people there have been very, very nice. There are many activities there and they've checked on her. Once they start taking her maybe shopping once a week, I'd probably give it a 5, because it is a very, very nice place. I stayed there for a week with her, so I got to see and experience it. They didn't allow me to eat there, but my mother liked it. I think they have a lot of variety. It's not the most excellent food in the world, but I'd say it's very, very good. It's very, very clean. They keep everything meticulous. They have a lot of stuff going on there. I've experienced that part of it and they keep them busy every couple of hours, so it's very nice. Her kids are very happy she's there because she's safe, she's eating and she's socializing. It's just the best thing for her. She's near my sister and my brother, so they go see her all the time and I'll be visiting more. It's a nice facility. It worked out great because it's only 5 minutes down the road from my sister.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is in an assisted living facility at Arbors at Stoughton. The staff is very nice and very patient with her -- and my mother's hard to get along with. The facility is very attractive and well maintained. There are many activities, but she doesn't really like to participate in them. I looked at the menu, and there's a very good selection with quite a bit of variety. I'm a little iffy about the pricing, but I think that's with the assisted living, not the facility itself. I think it's a lot of money for relatively little care. We have trouble getting her room cleaned, for example. They do quite well, given how hard it is to run an assisted living.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I am a relative of a resident. What they tell you on the tour doesn't come true when you move in. If you are an elder, or have an elder family member thinking of moving here - check out the bathrooms. They fit very few needs as far as safety and the owner's/staff do nothing but tell you to try to buy fixtures to make it work. They themselves will not spend a dime to upgrade and make safety #1. The menus aren't necessarily heart healthy although they advertise such. Ask for the last several weeks of menus to see for yourself, not just the online one, especially for those with low fat/cholesterol; low sugar diets etc. There webpage says no community fee = not true. Personal care - 1 hour/day = not true. We hold the deposit and don't cash it until you've been approved, not true, they cash it within a few days, before they even start the process of medical reports and assessments. Many of the aids have limited English which makes it difficult for any resident, especially those with hearing issues to discuss needs etc. There seems to be a lack of communication between the aids/nurses/directors as to resident needs. Pros: The activities are varied, frequent and enjoyed by many residents. The place is kept clean. The interior is very user friendly and designed well for residents to get around easily.

My dad ended up at The Arbors, and we're very happy with it. Compared with others, it had a more vibrant feel to it. The place was lively, bright, clean, very attractive, and had a good energy.

We chose The Arbors. It is a perfect fit. The people are extremely nice and very good with my mother-in-law. Her room is beautiful and has everything we need. They have day trips, bingo, crafts -- all kinds of stuff every day. The food is very good; the staff is great. No problems whatsoever.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My Mother in Law is now a resident of Arbors at Stoughton. My wife and I thought that it would be a difficult transition for her from living totally independent in a home. The staff at Arbors made it so easy for us. Their caring approach was a comfort to my mother in law. She has been at the Arbors for over a year now and could not be happier. As far as the facility itself, the grounds, common areas and apartment units are always neat and clean. Two thumbs up for Arbors!

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I chose The Arbors because it was close to me and it was very friendly, homey and warm. I really liked the people, both the residents and the staff. They had three levels of programs for Alzheimer's whether at the start of dementia or post dementia. They have a daily program of activities for the residents. The staff is caring and involved.
