Mom moved to Assisted Living by Unlimited Care Cottages (Mimi Cottage). I would have been comfortable putting her in at the other places I looked at, but this one felt a little bit more homey, and everything just seemed much more organized and quiet. The entire house, not just her room, appears to be very well-kept and very clean. They keep her linens and things clean. They offer her a variety of food that's always nice and hot and appetizing when they bring it to her. The yard's well-maintained. It looks like somebody lives there as how well-kept the whole facility is. Everyone is very, very friendly and very attentive to Mom, and they encourage her, but if she's having a bad day, they don't push her. I've been very pleased with the staff and so has she. If they make something for dinner tonight and there's enough left over, then they offer it for lunch or dinner tomorrow, but otherwise, there's generally a variety and if there's something they serve that for whatever reason, mom just doesn't find it appealing, they always offer to make her something else. They have pet therapy, music therapy, and a clergyman who comes in and visits with people who are interested in that. They have an area set up outside so people can go outside and sit on the patio, or they can walk around on the property if they're able. My mom isn't able to do that but she enjoys the visitors, the music, pet therapy, and the clergymen coming in. I've been very pleased and very happy with them.
