I am/was a resident of this facility
Beware the 4-day holiday weekend. Following back surgery I entered the Bay Ridge rehab facility on June 26, 2017. I spent 4 days of satisfactory rehab. On Friday June 30, at 10:00pm I received notice that the Nursing Director had decided that I was a 24 Hour fall candidate and required around-the-clock companion care. Upon receipt of this absurd illogical diagnosis, my daughter & I contacted all the staff that was available and did not get any verification of the diagnosis. Throughout the weekend, we persisted, but not until my family doctor got a release from the Bay Ridge could I go home. I shall never go back!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My mother-in-law is in Westminster. It seems to be quite nice, it's fairly old, but it's very well-appointed, and the staff seems really attentive. So far, she likes the food, so we have no complaints. She likes some of the board games, they have Bridge, and they have movies. The attentiveness of everyone has been very encouraging.

I visited this facility
I liked Westminster Village. The physical therapist was on duty 8 hours a day, and there's a hairdresser right there in the building. The biggest thing that I liked about it was that they do not put anybody out. Once you lived there, it was like progressing. If you were physically or mentally disabled, they would move you to a different wing. They would give you constant care if you needed and your prices do not go out or down. Once you signed in on a certain amount of rent, that's it for the rest of your life. It was beautiful. It was surrounded with trees and flowerbeds that were well taken care of. It was really nice. The layout of the building was beautiful. I looked at the cottages and the rooms, and they were both very nice. Everybody was just wonderful. They were just very friendly.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
We picked Westminster Village because it's a very nice place. It has all the features and the amenities a person wants. It has 100 cottages and one main building with a couple of hundred apartments in it. It has a wing for assisted living and a wing for skilled care. The staff are skilled and they seemed to be happy with what they do and they took good care of the residents. They serve three meals a day.

I am a friend or relative of resident
My parent is a recent "new resident' to Westminster in Indepedent Living. I have been pleased with the patience, caring and compassion that has been given to her as a new resident. The staff is wonderful, and has bent over backwards to get her apt. exactly as she wants it! the food is great (I have eaten there several times), and the facilities are beautiful. Everything she needs is right there (hair salon, bank, post office, convenience store, doctor, fitness center, library, and church!). The price is incredible for what is offered - we could not afford something like this where I am located in a metropolitan area. Our family feels blessed to have Westminster!
