I visited this facility

Sagewood is very beautiful and looks like a hotel, but they pretended the staff has been really on top of it; that’s not what I have experienced. They are offering activities, but my mother doesn’t participate in anything. The room is clean, 1-bedroom, and not very comfortable. You can only have one TV on one wall. The dining area is really pretty, and the food is OK but nothing special. They need to improve on how the room is set up and the staff as they have a lot of younger kids that doesn’t get what’s going on.
Provider Response

We are sorry to hear of your experience at Sagewood. Our residents’ happiness is of the upmost importance to us – which is why we would like to have our Wellness Director Jonathan speak with your mother about what activities she would want to see on our wellness schedule. Jonathan is passionate about our Wellness Program and is more than happy to accompany your mother to the wellness activities that interest her. Please contact me directly so that we can get her feedback and coordinate.

We can also discuss the layout of your mother’s 1-bedroom and the setup of her TV. All of our 1-bedrooms have a wall to host a TV in both the bedroom and living room with the small exception of corner unit apartments which have double windows in the bedroom - but still allow for a TV if the bed resides next to the windows.

At Sagewood we believe in creating a team that is both passionate and qualified for their roles and that team members of all ages contribute to our community. All of our CNAs are certified and there are always two RNs on staff to help troubleshoot any issues. If there is any issue with care or communication, we are more than happy to speak with you and escalate this to our RNs.

We are happy to hear your compliments on how beautiful Sagewood is. Dining is an important part of our residents’ experience and just yesterday we changed our menus to include selections based on feedback from residents. Eggs benedict, candied pecan salad, and farm-fresh egg omelets are just a few of many items we are now offering on our all-day dining and breakfast menus. We hope that you’ll drop by again to try these out!

Sincerely,

Josh Lancaster, Executive Director

Sagewood at Daybreak is absolutely beautiful. They have a lovely dining room. They are well-staffed, and they are very caring. They wanted to know his food likes and things he is interested in. They showed a lot of interest even though Dad is only going to be there for respite care. They wanted to know all these things to make his stay very comfortable, which I thought was really great. The rooms were all new, and the food was all healthy food. It was a very impressive place.

I visited this facility

The tour at Sagewood at Daybreak was good. It was a brand-new facility and really nice, but more expensive. The staff was really good. There were private and shared rooms. It’s a memory care center, too.

We placed mom at Sagewood at Daybreak. It’s a new community with a swimming pool and physician on staff. They seem to be quite organized. The place is very clean and has nurses on staff.

I visited this facility

Sagewood at Daybreak was very nice, very new, and modern. They seemed to have a lot of activities, more than Mother would ever use. Plus, it was a lot more expensive and farther away from us. It had a lot of things available, like hairdressers, activity centers, and swimming places. However, my mom would never use any of that stuff, and it would be more than what we wanted to pay.
