I toured Brookdale Paulin Creek. The grounds and the staff were great, but it was more expensive. Everything about it, including its proximity to places, was good. The upkeep of the place was great. The apartments were comparable. I saw the exercise room, the meeting rooms, and the dining room.

Brookdale Paulin Creek was a very nice facility and a good location. I visited the memory care and they had a good room set up where it's a shared room, but there are two separate bedrooms at least. They do sightseeing tours, as well as games and music, and things like that. The person I met was very knowledgeable and very pleasant.

I toured Brookdale Paulin Creek. I saw the whole place, but memory care was my principal interest. We went to the closed ward, and I got a chance to tour that and see the rooms. They were infinitely better than what I'd seen at the other place. The rooms for the people in memory care were suites. There were two rooms comprising the suite. They had one shared bathroom, but it was part of the suite. Whereas in the other place, it was out of the hallway somewhere. I thought the suites were reasonably spacious. When a person is in that state of mind, it's difficult to know how they might respond to a place that is too big or too small, but I found it certainly adequate. The grounds were lovely. It had a courtyard and gardening as well. I wasn't interested in a meal, but I saw the dining area, and it was spotless. In this place, everything was spotless, and the tables were all very nicely set. It looked like a first-class restaurant. They take residents out on bus trips. They have concerts. People who are pianists or harpists come in on occasion and perform for them. They also have a hobby craft program, or something like that.

Brookdale Paulin Creek is a large facility and while we toured it, it was a very nice facility as well. They had all the things that my mom would need for assisted living, and they were affordable, but the community itself is too large for my liking to place my mom in. The person who gave us the tour was wonderful. She was very helpful. Her name is Karen. The rooms are clean and appropriate-sized. We only looked at one-bedrooms and studios and both of them were fine for my mom's needs. We tried their food, and it was delicious. For me, the atmosphere was a little busy because the community is rather large. I just felt there was just too much going on for my mom's needs. They had exercise classes, art classes and games, and all kinds of things that elderly adults can do in a community to socialize.

I visited Brookdale Paulin Creek, it's a nice place. The people seemed happy inside the dining room. I didn't see a lot of activity, there was a lot of construction going on. Staff took me around, he was knowledgeable but he didn't do any direct contact with the people, but maybe that's COVID-related. I also got to meet the nursing staff. He was nice and he had good information, it just didn't seem as personal to me, or they weren't as connected as the other facility. Nobody was out and about, they were all at lunch. So I didn't get to see any interactions, like their activities and stuff. I'd love to have seen some activities. I got to see the activity room, it was small. And I got to see the outdoors, but it was wet because of the rain. I got to see their little living rooms as well. The rooms were nice and they were nice sizes. It's all under construction and was being remodeled. It wasn't big and wide open, it was little small alcoves, with furniture and stuff like that. So it was more like being in a little home. It's located just within a mile of two hospitals to and very close to a shopping mall.

I toured Brookdale Paulin Creek. I found it to be an incredibly well-organized, beautiful, and clean place. The tour was very nice. The person who did the tour with me was extremely knowledgeable and gave me lots of information. Overall, it was wonderful and it was a really good experience. They do painting, they have bingo nights, and various kinds of exercises for them. I saw the library with lots of books. They also mentioned a salon and an exercise room.

Brookdale Paulin Creek was dirty. The apartment they wanted to put my husband in was supposed to be looking out onto a green space, but instead, it looked out onto another building. The people were unfriendly and uncommunicative, and I would not put anyone in there. I lost about $7,000 when I walked out of that place. I will never, ever, ever go back there again. That place was bad. They treat the people like cattles.

Brookdale Paulin Creek would be good access for me, from where I live, and it's centrally located in Santa Rosa. So, my mom is going to be surrounded by the hospital and medical groups that she might need. The person who gave the tour was very professional, very thoughtful, and willing to take the time necessary. He made a follow-up and was again very professional, straightforward, and no surprises. The dining area seemed very open and wasn't too noisy. There's enough space between tables. The room that she secured is a one-bedroom and has recently been remodeled, so it looks nice. They have various activities. There's a big general room with a library and a lot of tables where people can play games like Bridge.
