I visited this facility

We toured The Bridge at Sandpoint for my mom. It was a wonderful place, and the tour was great. It was very clean and very friendly. I liked the location. I liked the dining room, and the activities list looked great. It looked like a great place on the tour. They had arts and crafts, game nights, and Bible studies. They were gardening with the residents, too. It's very welcoming, and it was a great community. They had a private area where you could schedule to bring your family and have a private dining night.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The Bridge at Sandpoint has really beautiful rooms, accommodating a bed, a sink, a TV, and a couch -- that kind of stuff. The residents sit around the table, they are served, and the food is very good. We go out there once a month for friends and family types of things, and they have a lot of activities for the people, a bus that takes them to town, and that kind of stuff. A lot of our friends are there, so it is a very nice atmosphere.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The Bridge was a nice place. It was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was nice. They were very helpful. The only bad thing I had to say for my grandma was the food. It was terrible. Even some of the people we ate with when we visited Grandma stuck their tongues out and said, "Ew!" My grandma she was hungry a lot of the time because she wouldn't eat the food. For Thanksgiving dinner, that night a lot of the residents left with their family members. My grandma stayed because we had already eaten there. That night, because they didn't have enough people and they were not cooking, they brought my grandmother a baloney sandwich and a bag of chips. That was terrible! For that kind of money that they were paying, giving them a baloney sandwich was ridiculous. Also, it was very dark in her room, and I asked them to change the light bulb because it went out, and that took three to four days before they came just for a stupid light bulb. Older people get depressed over little things, and being in the dark is a big deal for them.
