My mom is at Wellspring Senior Living Campus - Saginaw and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. It is very clean and anything we've asked to have checked for maintenance has been taken care of within 24 hours, which is excellent. People are very friendly when you walk in (they greet you) and they serve good food. It's healthy and it's got a wide variety of things you can have. Plus they have something as their main dish for the day, for breakfast, for lunch, and dinner. They also offer some bingo, cards, sing-alongs, music, and different things. They take the residents out to go shopping and have an occasional lunch at one of the local restaurants. The staff is very friendly and they're very anxious to help you. The residents are always very upbeat as well.

Lutheran was excellent, the staff was wonderful, and they took care of my aunt. The nurse was very knowledgeable, and the social workers were excellent all the way. I can't say enough good things about them.

Lutheran Home was OK. It was a nursing home, and my aunt was in it. The staff was very caring. Some of the rooms were single rooms, some were double, and they were clean and nice. It was in the Detroit area, and it was on a busy street, but it was easy to get to. It was nice and convenient. It just wasn’t convenient because we live 30 miles out of Detroit, and that is why it was not convenient for us.

McBrite Manor has everything available that my mother-in-law wanted, except very long hallways on an incline. My husband and I liked it because there were little groups of people that were in little sections of the hallways just talking and conversing and having a good time. For my mother-in-law, it seemed like a long way away to eat for a 93-year-old using a walker. She was just overwhelmed with the hallways. The staff was wonderful and very nice. During the visit, there were little groups of people by themselves playing cards and having social time with a man playing a guitar; there were quite a few people in that room enjoying the music. There was a little area with library books and things to read. I thought it was kind of old-fashioned and warm and cozy. The only thing my husband and I thought could be better was that it could be a little brighter because it seemed dark. It wasn't bright and sunny everywhere. It looked clean. Everybody seemed happy and really friendly, and they said hello. The room was fine.

Wellspring Lutheran Services was absolutely wonderful. They give different levels of care. They had anywhere from private rooms to semi-private rooms and wards where they had 4 people in a room. The place was absolutely beautiful, and I couldn't say enough about the staff; they were fabulous. They were very, very caring. They had a little church in there where they have their little bible studies and everything. The activity director was great. I had an aunt that was in there who is very, very particular, and she said the food was great.

I am currently staying at McBrite Manor, and I think it is excellent. It is more like a home. I have one room and it didn't have any bedroom, but it fits all of my belongings. Everything is fine and I think they have a very good work attitude including the dining staff, the workings that makes your bed and stuff. They are all very nice. The food is very good and we have several different choices. The dining room and the sitting arrangement are fine and they have plenty of help to serve the food. They have plenty of things for people to do like bingo, but I don’t go to them because I go out and I am usually gone when they do that.
