I visited this facility

I went to Meadow Oaks of Roseville. I liked that it was more intimate and cozier, but it was kind of dark. My mother just turned 83 today, but she still doesn't want to be where people are old, and she might feel it was too drab and old. I thought it was easy for her to maneuver, but I'm not sure she would have the same feeling. The only person that we spoke to was Jen, and she was very good and very positive. I told her that this is very cozy, and it seems like it would be a good spot, but my mom would feel like we were housing her, sending her off to college, or putting her in a dorm. It didn't seem like there was as much going on as there was at the other place. However, somebody made the best Black Forest cake, so I have no doubt the food is stellar. The day I was there, we went to the craft room, they played bingo and there were movies and stuff, but it seemed much lower-key. They had a beautiful courtyard, a gym, and a salon, too.

The tour I had at Meadow Oaks of Roseville was pretty good. The apartments were really nice and the perfect size and pretty clean. I just saw people eating and that's about it. The staff showed me the dog park, the activities room, and the puzzle room. I just saw the main common rooms and a few of the apartments. The facility was very well maintained. They provide transportation. It's a perfect assisted living facility.

Meadow Oaks of Roseville was very nice and very clean. The staff member that we spoke to was very informative, but that's when we found out that our friend would not be able to afford it, unfortunately, because she's on a limited budget. Then it would even be more with memory care. I told my husband if I ever got to that stage where I needed some help, I would want to go there. The rooms that they showed us were very nice. They had invited us for a meal, but we did not partake. The staff member was very knowledgeable and she had introduced us to someone else, and then took us around the facility, too. She's very personable and answered all of our questions. They had an activity room and there were some activities going on. We briefly looked into the area where they had their meals, which was very nice, too. It's almost like a mini restaurant. We had looked at the assisted living. We didn't go to the memory care. The one that we looked at was a one-bedroom, and then we found out that the memory care are studios. We didn't go and look at those studio apartments.

I toured Meadow Oaks of Roseville. The lady that took us on the tour was very helpful, very thorough, and had lots of good information and suggestions. The facility itself seemed very nice, and I thought the rooms were nice, too. The studio apartment was spacious. They have activities, they have good food, and they have memory care, which is something that we're going to have to do. They were dog friendly, which was a nice plus, too. The staff gave us a piece of red velvet cake from the dining room, and it was very good. The units that we saw were basic rooms. They're empty, so you bring your own furniture. The bathrooms were very accessible. The rooms were very nice and there was enough space for a dresser, a bed, a chair, a recliner, and a TV.

We were very pleased with Meadow Oaks of Roseville. It seemed like it would be ideal, but unfortunately, I don't think my mother is going to qualify for that. It seems like a very good place. They have memory care plus they have a lot of activities going on. They seemed to offer a lot. The food appeared to be very well prepared and looked good. The rooms were very nice, a good size, clean, and well kept. The staff was very friendly and very professional. They have their own dining area. There seemed to be a lot of participation in the activity we noticed. They were having like a rehab type class where they were lifting little weights and there were a lot of people in there. I was impressed. The atmosphere seemed to be very pleasant, but it was very quiet. There was no odor at all.

The senior community I like next would be the Meadow Oaks of Roseville. The salesperson that showed us around was very good. The nursing there seemed excellent, too. We talked to her, and I'd say she was very good as well. The receptionists were OK. The rooms were small. They did not have as much room. They were like 400 square feet. They're very tiny. They have a nice kitchenette area, though. I'd have to say their kitchenette (the way they have it laid out) is nice, but those rooms needed to be bigger at least for our father. They have a beauty salon. They have an activity room with bingo and everything. It's one great big room, and that was nice. In the center part, where the rooms overlook, they have a little courtyard. It's a smaller facility. For a small facility, I thought it was very nice.

My mother-in-law moved into Meadow Oaks of Roseville. It is a beautiful facility. They have a chef, a dining room, activity rooms, separate apartments for the residents, and a furnished courtyard for sitting and visiting. It's a lovely place. The staff members are extremely helpful and responsive. They have a full calendar of things. They have chair Zumba, walks, movie nights, game days, and several different exercise activities during the day. They have a lovely dining area, a game room, an activity room, and a TV room. They have religious services on Sunday. The facility is very clean and well-kept.

Meadow Oaks of Roseville was nice. It was really good. They gave me a tour, and I didn't have an appointment. The place was clean. They answered all my questions. The price is affordable. It seemed like they took really good care of the people there. They had lots of activities. They had a dining area. Overall, it was OK. Two people gave me a tour, and they showed me around. They showed me several potential rooms. They were adequate. They're OK. They can help you get furniture if you need furniture. They're very knowledgeable, and they take care of people. They had studios, and they had one-bedrooms.

We visited the Meadow Oaks of Roseville's memory care. I like the facility and I wish it met the standards that we were looking for because it was a good option, but it doesn't fit the standards that we were looking for. I know they have a TV viewing room, game rooms for the seniors, and gardens they can walk around. The staff that showed us around was well informed and she showed us everything. I just wish that we were able to work it out with them, but it just seemed like it wasn't going to be a perfect fit. Other than that, it was very good and it was a nice facility.

The tour at Meadow Oaks of Roseville was good and the people were really friendly. However, they did not know that I was coming. I got there and I waited till about 1:15, then finally, the housekeeper helped me. But they were super good, they were super nice and they were super apologetic. I would say to maybe have some sort of better communication to know there was an appointment. I didn't fault them because they found somebody and she took us around. And then when the other lady came back, she was very helpful and very nice. They took us through the whole community, it was a beautiful facility. The rooms were nice, they offered us a meal for when we come back. That place was nice for us, just a bit far from my home. I would recommend that place to anybody, it's just that the cost and location are some of the reasons we didn't choose it. If they took a Medicare voucher, and if it's a little closer, I would have gone with them. I didn't see the menu there, she gave us a packet full of stuff. They invited us back for lunch if we wanted to come back and try it, which was very nice of them. Their deposit is only $500 as opposed to the other place we went to.

Meadow Oaks of Roseville was nice. It's very small, it's smaller than the others I visited in the number of residents. The room was nice. It had a good patio, a little kitchen area. The people were very friendly. The menu looked good; we didn't taste any of the food there. It was clean, and the grounds were nice. It would probably be our third choice only because it's so small, as far as residents. She was very informative, answered all our questions, and described her facilities well. The grounds were nicely taken care of. The inside was clean, and it was easy to get around.

Meadow Oaks of Roseville was in a good price range. It was very inviting and very comfortable. The shared room was very nice. They were pleasant people. The lady who did the tour was courteous, listened, and tried to understand what our needs were. They take your temperature with a machine at the front of the facility.

My mother-in-law has been placed into Meadow Oaks of Roseville. Everyone's friendly. You get a good feeling when you go in, and the people know of the patients by name and everything. It makes it a very homey feeling. She has been there for a little over a week now. She's in the memory care area. She has a private room. Everyone was friendly and open, and they do everything they can to work for her. They have a beauty salon, they have activities going on, and they have a courtyard. They do not lock you down, but they do have alarms, so they can find out who is going out that shouldn't. Everyone has been very open. I've not had a meal with her, but I've seen what she's eaten. They have good meals, but they also have alternate if they just don't like something they're having. They will work with her. If she didn't eat something, they'll try to get something else. The facility is clean. They have arts and crafts, TV and exercise. They try to encourage them to do something.

Provider Response

Sharliss thank you so much for your response! We love having your mother-in-law here. She is part of our family!!!

The Meadow Oaks of Roseville was very nice and a little more affordable. The apartments were a little bigger. It just felt a little older, a little less, but the staff was really nice. We had lunch there and the food was good, but they didn't have a bigger selection.

Meadow Oaks of Roseville was a big, but it was a quiet place. Leah was great, and she answered all my questions. I explained to her my situation. She was very generous with the information she gave me. She showed me a shared room, but there was no furniture in there. She explained that it's empty because of COVID, that they had to rearrange things for their residents. She showed me a movie room, and there weren't any activities going on when I visited. She kind of laid down the finances too and was very forthcoming. I appreciated her directness based on the kind of care that we're going to need for my mother-in-law.

My grandma moved into the Meadow Oaks of Roseville assisted living. It's just a building with a bunch of people there. They provide meals and community program. There's not a lot of outdoor space like a gazebo and stuff, but it would be nice to have a walking path or something. The staff is fantastic, but they're having a lot of turn-over right now so I'm not sure who else is still there. I just met a bunch of new people a couple of days ago. The front desk lady is amazing. Grandma really loves the food.

Meadow Oaks of Roseville was good, and we enjoyed that place very much. We heard some negative things about the place, but we did not see that, and we liked the place. However, we're a bit discouraged because of some of the stuff we heard. They're nice people, and the people we talked to were good.

We liked Meadow Oaks of Roseville. It's less expensive than others, but it didn't seem as warm to us. It seemed a little more sterile. The staff during the visit was very nice, but she was unprepared to offer us exact figures and exact amenities because that wasn't her primary job. They didn't have someone available when we showed up to really give us details. The apartment was nice, but it only had a street view. You could have a patio and you could go outside, but there's nothing to see. They showed us a recreation room.

I moved my client into Meadow Oaks of Roseville, and it's been fairly good. His room is nice and adequate, but the staff is not as caring as where he was. He fainted the other day and nobody was there to help him right away, and I was in desperate need to have somebody right then and there to help. The food is not very good. They didn't have any activities going on. He would like to do some exercises, but there's nothing available. Everybody sits and watches TV in the television area. The population seems a little bit older and not as easy to move. They have card games, but no organized activities.

My visit with Meadow Oaks of Roseville went very well. The staff was very pleasant. She answered a lot of questions and she also came up with a couple of things that I didn't know about. The layout was very well organized. The dining area was very clean. They were one of our five star facilities. They had everything that we needed, the diabetes program and everything else. They were one of the places that we were considering. It was a very nice facility.

My husband went to the memory care unit for two months, and now he is home. He is doing fine and made a remarkable recovery. He is driving, following his grocery list, and taking his own blood for his diabetes now. While at Alta, he hated being locked in because he couldn’t get out when he wanted to, but we took him out a lot. I think it was their care including their regular maintenance of his insulin, regular meals, and regular routine that helped him get better. Alta Manor was excellent. They just need more staff in the memory care part of the facility. I was hoping he would be transferred to the assisted living part, but he is getting dressed and is no longer incognizant. When he went there, he could barely walk, he was incognizant, and had all kinds of problems. His cognition is way better now. My husband's room was a nice size and the bathroom and closets were well laid out. We liked the ability to lock the door, the windows, the curtains, and everything. As for the food, I explained to the cook that my husband was diabetic, and they were very responsive. I liked the food, too. It was institution food but delicious, quite varied, and well cooked. They serve it individually wherein each patient’s food is marked with his room number, so each patient got the food he was supposed to get according to his dietary requirements. My husband was very comfortable there. The administrators and the staff were really excellent and responsive. They had a bus that took patients places. We had a physical therapist come there, and they were accommodating with that. My husband received the best care, and it was a nice, clean, and lovely place.

The community was just around the corner where my father-in-law lived. It was also recommended by the professional nursing facility. It was by his home area and he still wanted contact with his friends and neighbors. They had a memory care unit and the whole place was secure. The staff were attentive to him and I thought he was well taken-cared of. They had activities like wheelchair exercise, game night, bingo night, movie night and they had a van which took them shopping. The food and dining area were good. Overall, the atmosphere was nice and I would recommend this place.
