The Crossroads at Bon Air was nice and it would be a perfect choice for what we were interested in. I talked to 1 or 2 residents there and they were very satisfied with the conditions and the facilities. The employees and everybody seemed very nice. It was an ideal place and we might have picked that one. The rooms we looked at were all empty, but I could see where things that we had would fit in there very nicely. I was looking at the 1-bedroom and they did show us the 2-bedroom, but I think we were probably going to be satisfied with the 1-bedroom.

I'm at The Crossings at Bon Air. It's fairly quiet. It's nice. The people are very nice. The nurses and the service people are all very nice. They keep up with the place. In general, it's good. I have two rooms, one is the bedroom, which is big, and the other is the living room, which is also fairly big. There's a bathroom, too. There's kind of a kitchenette-type thing. There are different rooms. There is a library. There is a beauty salon for the residents. The place is right by the road, so it's not great to walk out and walk along the road, but they have places where you can walk. I like it here.

I went to The Crossings at Bon Air. I like the amenities. I like the one-bedroom. It had a washing machine in the room. The tour guide was very friendly. They have lots of activities. The menu seemed varied. Some of the rooms have individual patios, but of course, they cost extra. There's one area that is like a community patio that everybody can use, which I thought was quite nice. I liked the staff who toured me around. She wasn't pushy. She was more than willing to answer all the questions. The cleanliness was good.

I went to the Crossings at Bon Air. There wasn't much there that I liked because the memory care was up on the third floor. They had to take an elevator to go up. There is a passcode that the family gets, but they also give it to the residents because they claim the residents can't remember it. Even though you're dealing with someone with dementia, they can remember some things to a certain degree, so I did not like that. I did not like that up on the third floor there is a sunroom and it's all glass, and the residents can go out there and sit. To me, that's up too high. It's easy for the glass to get broken. There is no support rail around the bottom half, so if the glass gets broken a resident could fall through. I did not care for the Crossings at all. I wasn't happy with the room because it's on the third floor, but it was a clean place. I only spoke with two of the workers, Sarah that showed me around, and then the one that greeted me when I got there. I saw none of the activities. They don't have an enclosed garden area where the residents can go and sit. Sarah was in a hurry to show me around, and I didn't get to ask any questions. She was doing all the talking. She gave me the folder and said, "Everything's in there, let me know what you choose."

My mother-in-law moved in at The Crossings at Bon Air in October. She's very happy there. We chose it for her because it was convenient, we liked having the washer/dryer in the rooms, and she could transition to assisted living if she needed to. Their staff is great. Their meals are excellent. They have activities and she loves them. They are very active. They have a cocktail hour before dinner. They have a little pub that's open before dinner every evening. They go out to lunch. They go shopping. Those are just some of the things that she has done that she's enjoyed very much. They have live entertainers that come in the evening. Not all the time, but frequently.

I visited The Crossings at Bon Air. The staff were very friendly and informative. The rooms were very clean and very well laid out. It had a kitchenette with a stove and refrigerator. So that was nice for seniors who were not ready for assisted living. The common dining area was very nice, very open, and airy, and it looked very clean as well. It was like a restaurant, and I saw people sitting at tables. I didn't see a cafeteria-style; I think they are being served. The grounds were very clean. It has a common area, when I was there, I saw a lot of the residents up and walking around. They're allowed to have their dogs. They did have a library room and a wine social. They have a little bar where you can have a little wine social, I thought those are nice. There were activities throughout the week. Everyone was very nice.
