I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father is in Rose Garden. It's a senior apartment for memory care. I like the facility. I like the individuals that work there. They're very friendly and kind. They pay attention to the multiple individuals there. I haven't tried any of their food, but they serve large portions, so they don't go hungry. His room is fairly big. I would prefer my father to have a single room. He's in a shared room, but the room is nice. They do music. They do arts and crafts. They have a beautiful outside. They're able to walk around outside like nature walks. Even though it's enclosed, every person there who is physically capable of walking can walk around. They have entertainment, TV, and music, and they play games.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We had my sister in the Rose Garden facility for about two weeks. Everything was awful. It was not good. My impression when I first got there was that the office was a mess and had papers all over. The director that we met was very abrupt with us. We wanted to take a tour, but we could only see certain areas. So initially, I didn't feel good about that. My sister had a semi-private room. Some of the residents were just sort of roaming around outside, and there was no staff watching them. Within a week, some of my sister's items were missing. When my niece went to visit her and they were walking around outside, she noticed by the office there were bags and bags of dirty laundry. So she approached the office, and they said the person who does the laundry is out sick. If my sister didn't want to go in for breakfast or dinner, they basically would not come and get her because they had to go out to another area. It was not clean. There was no supervision or staff around. They broke my sister's TV, and to this day, my niece is still trying to get reimbursed for the clothes that my sister never got back and for the TV. So overall, it's just a bad experience. My sister was not eating properly because when we took her out of there and brought her home, she was just eating like there was no tomorrow. We don't think she was given help to take a bath.

My husband moved in at Rose Garden on March 31st. I chose it because I needed a place that was large enough to have other people who were also high functioning. Because of Covid, they do not do activities as much as they used to, but he socializes a lot more there than he did at home. The facility is very clean. The courtyard is nice. The staff is wonderful; they've been great. Their dining area hasn't been open to visitors that much because of Covid. I understand they're opening up a little more now, but I haven't seen the dining room yet. I think they should have more outside activities.

Finding a memory care facility for my dad was a very tough thing to do. Fortunately, I never had a moments worry once he moved to Rose Garden. The units are nice and always clean. The grounds are beautiful, and they plan fun activities for the residents. My dad is well taken care of. They even take great care of the families too, very kind and informative. The administrator Tony, the RN Delcie, and the entire staff go above and beyond, their amazing.

I like the grounds at Rose Garden. My husband can go outside if he wants since it's a gated community. They also have 24-hour nursing, and I saw them getting their residents up and around when I was there. The community really seems to be friendly, and the staff makes sure the residents get out of their rooms and play games, interact with each other, and do things together. The rooms they showed me were clean, and we talked about getting him in with a roommate who also smokes so he'll have a smoking buddy.

Rose Garden was very old and needed some updating. I talked to the director, George, and he showed me around. He was very nice and explained everything to me, but the residents didn't look happy. Generally, it's an older community.

I visited this facility

I have visited rose garden a few times and I'd have to say it is really a weful. One they use to be a nice facility till about almost a year ago they had gotten new administration and to be honest that's where it all went down hill. the new head admin is a women and very rude doesn't greet anyone very stand of and not welcoming at all. two they are way too understaffed i have seen with my own eyes three to maybe four care givers to tend to all those residents would you really want to send your mother and father to a over 60 resident bedside manner and assistant living to only three caregivers having to attend to all there needs. the staff looks stressed out probley due to the amount of work that is put on them. I have actually witnessed caregivers have to stop what they are doing attending to a resident to clean up a mess that should be a housekeeping or even a lvn duty. the head nurses seem to just stay in the nurse station the whole time i never see them come out to assist the residents are help the understaffed staff. when you ask one of them for something agian they call there busy staff to attend to it knowing there assisting residents.the lunch area is extremely crowded and chaotic activities are all held at the same tables they eat at. it's very rushed to get everything done. activities looked like they have little activitie supplies to work with so they seem to be doing the same thing over and over again. administration never comes down to observe there staff or residents. and you can tell they show no staff any respect. this place might be better agian if they decide to clean house and get rid of there hair administration at least the main lady.

We went to Rose Garden. The lawn and the outside area were beautiful, but the inside was depressing. The shared rooms were unbelievably tiny. I did not want my mother to go there.

Rose Garden is very clean. The aides are exceptional, and we really like it there. The room is very nice, very clean, and non-cluttered. The staff is very friendly. We go there frequently, and we really like the way they take care of the place. Currently it just games right now since my father-in-law is in hospice. Prior to that, they have games and puzzles. They have singing, and they play cards. The food is one of the things that made us stay there. Because normally when I would go even in a very good hospital, I am just creeped out by the food. But there, it just seemed very clean. That is why we put him there. It is expensive, and that is the only downside to it. We could have gone to a place that is paid for by the government, but we chose that place just because we liked it.

Rose Garden is close to home and I liked it. They're not closed in, it's like a big garden in the middle and the residents live in a circle. The room is nice and my husband has a roommate. The floor is a hard wood so it makes it easier to clean and it doesn't smell like urine. The food is very good, they have a chef there. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. They have line dances that come out and entertain them. They have bible study, memory games and strolls in the garden. The people there are free to come and go.

I love Rose Garden Residential Care. They're fabulous, they were so nice, and so warm. The facility was so unique because of the gardens. It's more of a home setting.

I visited this facility

This is an Assisted Living for Residents with Alzheimer's and other memory loss disorders. I visited this care facility during the lunch hour. Every resident was sitting at the lunch table eating on their own or with an attendant assisting them. The facility is locked to prevent residents from walking out unattended. A good safety measure. Beautiful location with a view of the San Bernardino mountains. Very nice grounds. The rooms are cottage style. The staff appeared to be attentive, friendly and caring. The rooms are 2 - 3 beds. Private rooms are available.
