The building includes private and semi-private suites, a therapy gym and commons area. Activities are offered for residents throughout the year. The dining room offers a varied menu including meals for residents with diet restrictions. Residents are encouraged to stroll around the grounds and courtyard in good weather and enjoy the numerous exercise classes available for all levels of ability. Television is available in all rooms and suites. Wi-fi and newspaper delivery are also part of the Laurelhurst Village services. The community’s on-site library is stocked with new and classic books along with recently released movies on DVD.
Laurelhurst Village is a community for active seniors. Exercise classes are offered for all skill levels to keep residents moving and in good shape. There are regular exercise classes requiring only low-impact movements with the sit-and-be-fit program. The class is designed to help residents keep their core muscles in good shape while improving balance. A special seated Tai Chi class is also offered. Exercise classes structured around standing movements and floor exercises are also offered.
The community’s many other activities include a book club, special movie matinees with snacks, outings, birthday celebrations with live music, cooking groups, visits from pets, manicures, bunco games and gardening. The goal at Laurelhurst Village is to keep you busy.

The Sisters of Mercy established Laurelhurst Village over a century ago. Today, Catholic mass, sacraments and interfaith services are offered in the community’s on-site chapel.
REHABILITATION SERVICESPhysical, speech and occupational therapy are available seven days a week for residents. This includes everything from basic mobility and helping people get out of bed to advanced physical and speech therapies.
The community’s remodeled gym has regular exercise equipment in addition to ultrasound, electric stimulation and short-wave diathermy, a technique that can boost blood flow and soothe pain. Each physical and occupational therapy program is uniquely designed for the patient. The therapy gym also has a special office for speech pathology for residents who need language and cognitive training while recovering from a stroke or other injury. A special area is available for therapists training patients to re-learn how to care for themselves.
