I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Visiting for the first time was short. We were shown a private room which looked nice. The place is old and desperately needs upgrading. After my friend moved in it was a different story. The rooms were small, 2 people shared the room. There is a Jack and Jill bathroom that is shared 2 other people. That’s 4 people for 1 bathroom. The bathrooms are always getting stopped up. Assisted living clients room with memory care clients. This is not a good situation. There are flies in the rooms. The courtyard is ok but when the door is opened the cigarette smoke comes in. The meals are ok I guess. Some of the rooms reek of urine. I can’t imagine sleeping in a room like that and having to breathe the stench of pee all night and day. Some of the personnel are very friendly and helpful, some border on rude, others are probably there because they couldn’t get a job anywhere else. I have caught the front dest personnel in lies. We are desperately trying to find another place for my friend. I do not recommend this place.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Unorganized and under managed. Some wonderful and caring employees; however, some, not so much! One housekeeper should be a resident and talks more than she cleans. I have been in the system for 6 years and this is my 3rd facility. Each time a step down, but this is the worst I've ever seen. Very small courtyard with uneven paths. The good doesn't out weigh the bad! They do nice crafts, and like I said, some of the employees are exceptional. But, the other 60% need to choose another feild. Doors slamming constantly by residents AND STAFF. Like I said, they're are some wonderful staff members that treat everyone with dignityji But some who just don't care one way or another!

I visited this facility

I visited Noble Senior Living at Pensacola, but I was not impressed. It's not very well kept up, the staff wasn't very informed or up to date. They didn't even know we were coming in, and they kind of pitched a fit when we showed up. The place wasn't that clean, it needed renovations, it just need a lot. Other than walking around, they didn't have much in terms of amenities. They had TVs and that was just it. They had a lot of activities planned on their planning board, but I didn't see much for physical activity, and there wasn't that much room to do physical activity.

I visited this facility

I toured Noble Senior Living at Pensacola. The place looked clean, but it smelled really bad. The rooms smelled musty and the bathrooms smelled like pee. It was like a tiny motel room at a rundown motel, and there was no way I could put my mother there. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable about how everything was going, and that side was pretty good. The people there seemed okay, they weren't overly joyous, but they weren't complaining or anything. It was pretty quiet. They move around and do everything, I didn't see any of the activities going on. It seems like the administration has not taken care of the place. It needs a roof, you can see shingles are missing and it's starting to get leaks on the ceiling inside. So you can see there are roof leaks, they need to put a new roof in place. She went over the pamphlet, but you didn't see or hear anything about the transportation, the other places, or the activities. She explained them, but I didn't get to see them. They've got a garden, a patio, and a smoking area.

I visited this facility

I understand Noble Senior Living at Pensacola just took possession of this place, new ownership, in August of last year. I won't say that it was bad. It just needed some upgrading. They showed us both assisted living and memory care. The person who showed me around seemed like he had a lot on his plate. He was the director of different facilities, which concerns me. He's got several degrees and his staff has several degrees, but that doesn't mean nothing if you're not there to put them into use. It seemed like he might have gotten himself spread a little bit too thin to be able to concentrate on running this particular facility because he's got others to run as well. They had a courtyard, but it did not look safe to me. It did not look like they would want them to go out there because it wasn't kept up. It was there, but it was not usable. There were no amenities in the rooms. Everybody was in shared rooms, with memory care patients, I kind of question, and that setup kind of concerned me.

Ronnie has greatly improved this facility. He has a great personality and a can do (ARMY) attitude. HE IS NEVER TO BUSY TO TALK TO YOU. He knows everyone by name and their needs. He has hired great staff in all departments. They are making it a really nice place to live with great group activities and good food. Keep it up.

I visited this facility

Noble Senior Living at Pensacola is a friendly place but it's not a facility that we would choose. It's just older and kind of sparse. The people seemed okay, but it's just not the level of the residence, I think, that my friend would like to be in. I think assisted living and memory care is altogether in one place. We saw some people we could tell have a memory problem. There was a woman there, I don't know who she was talking to, but she was name-calling, someone. I'm not sure what she was talking about but it was a little off. Other than that, the residents that were there seemed happy about being there. They didn't seem unhappy, and the director is very nice and friendly and seems like he's good with everyone. That was a good thing. It's just kind of a lower-income kind of setting. It looked clean and it looked like it was maintained. The rooms had very, very old and used furniture though. It's like a lower income level and it's like they're on a budget. Nothing fancy at all and kind of sparse. Ronnie, the director there, said that it was just purchased by another company, so they just recently changed the name to Noble and so they might be making improvements that I'm not aware of or have plans to improve.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

First of all, ownership changed and we were never informed. There was always a strange smell when walking through the halls. The food they feed the residents was awful! Still trying to retrieve personal items of my mother almost 5 months after they started allowing outside visitors. I live out of state so not able to just drop in. Every time you call director is always tied up, or not there. If you leave a message, they never respond! My next step is for my attorney to contact them. Maybe they will finally return Mother's personal property! If they haven't already given away or destroyed items. The last time I spoke with Samantha, she said they were in process of evaluating damage to the storage unit that had previous residents personal items stored. She indicated that several items were damaged so they were taking inventory, so they would be in contact once completed. Not one phone call! Instead I have been calling continuously and leaving mesaages without a response! What is wrong with this place! I want my mother's belongings back!

I visited this facility

It wasn't too good. I didn't care for it. First off it smelled like an old hotel when you go in there, and I didn't like that, and I didn't like the way the residents were situated. It's an older building and the way it was set up wasn't so good. The person who gave the tour did an OK job. Their units were more like hospital rooms.

Staff are caring and helpful. This is not a fine dining, upscale facility, but the residents are well cared for and treated the way they should be. Everything is included in the price of care. There are no surprise costs. They even cover cable and incontinence supplies.

My mother is a resident and loves it there. She gets good meals, activities to keep her busy as well as socialization with other residents. I would strongly recommend to others.

At Noble, we use activities to help reduce residents’ agitation, improve their moods, and encourage social interaction. Popular activities include morning coffee (hydration) and news, listening to music, spiritual programs, ice cream socials, reminiscing, trivia, and puzzles. One-on-one sensory activities may also be used to help residents relax and have a good night’s rest.
