I liked Astoria Park Senior Living. It seemed to be much more cozy, and welcoming. Everyone was very nice, very helpful, and answered any questions I had. The personnel was very good. I liked how they handled it. The rooms were nice. The shower bathroom arrangement was nice. It was well-situated for staying in a place. It was just more friendly, and more comfortable. They did have a nice yard area with walkways, grass, and shrubbery. So, it was much more inviting to be outside. I saw a one-bedroom apartment and also a studio, and both were set up very nicely.

As my father has develops increasing memory issues, I'm grateful every day to the staff at the Regency. Not only do they care for my father, they treat him like family. We are so grateful to all of the support they've given him, and us (his son and daughter). The team are very professional, expedient, and helpful. We consider them as an extension of our family.

This place was a godsend! Everyone here has been absolutely amazing to my family and myself. The executive Director Erin is the heartbeat of this community and we are so grateful for everything she has done for our entire family.

The Astoria Park Senior Living Center is very well maintained. Friendly professional staff. My father is very comfortable and well cared for. He is in very good health and has no complaints. My family and I are very happy that we found Astoria. It's very important to have peace of mind and know that our father is being cared for in such a way that it's as if his own family were taking care of him.

Reviews are difficult, especially when it comes to rating staff. I would give most of the staff at Astoria Park a “5” rating, because they are truly fabulous. They are like our extended family. Just a couple newbies pull the score down a bit.

Astoria is basically a wonderful residence for my elderly mother. She is very happy here. I would like to see more attention given her with assistance to the bathroom, as she is not mobile. In general, the Astoria staff is friendly and the surroundings pleasant and clean. They are responsive to any inquiries/concerns the family may have.

The staff is caring and welcoming. Every time I've visited my aunt there, I'm always greeted with friendly smiles. The facility is very clean, which is a major plus! But most importantly, my aunt is very happy here. She's been to a few other assisted livings and was always down. Here, she is always happy, smiling, and engaging with the staff. Thank you Astoria Park Team!

My best friends mother is a resident in this community and it's always pleasant when we come to visit. The facility is clean, feels warm and welcoming and the staff is so friendly and helpful and when I say staff, I mean all of them, from the Executive Director, to the business manager, front desk, the caregivers, housekeepers , servers...literally everyone. They really got it right with the staff. The food is really good, I've seen live entertainment, residents are happy and always smiling- this facilty is not what I expected from a retirement home- well done Astoria!

My friend moved into Astoria Park Senior Living. It's very welcoming, very warm, and very efficient. The staff is very good. They're helpful, they do follow through. They inform you of any issues. They have activities like bingo and ice cream socials. They have a group that meets initially when they come in to introduce you to all the new residents, and they have tables of four, and they introduce you to all the people that are at your table. And the meals are very good.

My husband has been at Astoria Park Senior Living for a year. I am happy that he is well taken care of and content. Every time I see him he tells me that he “likes the girls”. That is he likes the girls that care for him. They are very patient and helpful. He also really likes the food. His room is always clean and neat. He is calm and peaceful. Seeing him puts my mind at rest. Virginia h

I was impressed with Astoria Park & The Villas. It was not only clean and well run, but they'd put a lot of care into making it a pleasant atmosphere. I saw some of the activities that the residents engage in and I was very impressed, especially with the karaoke. I thought that was a really brilliant idea. I was impressed with the staff. They're friendly and competent. I thought it was a really good place if that's the level of care you're looking for. Also, it's self-pay. They have group rooms where people can gather and engage in activities such as art and singing. They made good use of their space. The memory care is separated in the western part of the complex. I interacted with the woman who gave me a tour and she was absolutely wonderful. I witnessed some of the staff running programs for the residents and also keeping the place clean, and they were just doing a really good job. They have a couple of small outside areas that were enclosed within the buildings, but they don't have a large campus with extra acreage for the people to go outside the building itself. The outdoor areas that I could see were confined by the building, but I'd be happy to have my parent there if it were easier and we have the financial wherewithal.

I toured here. They have assisted living, but it's really more independent living. They are little studios with a bathroom. My dad has to be able to get up and go to the bathroom. It is assisted living; that means they're the ones that told me they are willing to take people in wheelchairs. It seemed like almost independent living because the people have their own little rooms. Some of the people I saw there were quite independent, walking well, and pretty mobile. They have people that will do everything for them, like go in the rooms and dress them and stuff. I thought it was very small, but small is good. The rooms were not too far. One room they showed me was a little bit too far for my dad to walk to the dining room. It is better than these huge places that are floors after floors after floors and big, long, long, long hallways. It was small, and it was cute. The menu looked good. I asked if I could at some point go and try their food. Of course during Covid, they're not letting visitors come in and eat a meal (which I was disappointed). The grounds were really nice. They had some nice patios for them, a nice TV room, and a living room. I only saw one little man walking round. Where were the seniors? The little man that was walking around was very mobile, didn't use a cane, and didn't use a walker. He was just walking around taking his daily stroll. I was disappointed. I think at the hour I went, lunch was over. Nobody was in the TV room or in the room relaxing. Nobody was chit chatting. They were all in their rooms. When I went, they didn't have any activity going on at the time. They had a beautiful piano, and beautiful, nice, comfortable chairs facing the piano. They had a nice TV, and they had another living room. They had like a little snack bar, and it was for the people. The dining room was very nice and clean with nice tables. They weren't close on top of each other. There was good separation because seniors need room to walk with their walkers and stuff. There were rails all along the hallways, and I liked that a lot. I just wish I would have seen some people moving about. If I choose that place, I will have to go try a meal. I would want to see the people that are living there. The staff was outstanding, and it was a very nice building.

It was pretty nice and accommodating. One thing we didn't like about it was to go into the office where we met with the director was upstairs, and my friend doesn't go upstairs very well since he's using a walker. They did have a ramp, but it was kind of a long way around the stairs instead of being right next to it, so we had to go down a little bit of a hallway, into the dining room, and then double back up a different hallway in order to go where the office was. They had very nice amenities such as an arts and crafts room, a reading room that was kind of a library, a machine where you stick your paper and read which was good for my friend because his eyesight is very poor, and a separate room where they did activities. Everybody was friendly, and the staff said hi. The rooms were OK and were mostly a one room.

It was a very nice place. It was a much newer building, so it had that feel of a higher quality. I saw the 1-bedroom and the 2-bedroom, and they were nice, big, and clean. The entire place looked elegant.

It doesn’t fit me, but it was terrific and I liked it. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative. The apartments were nice. They have range of activities that seemed good for people that like to do things and they have things every day to sign up.

We got father-in-law has been here for about a month now. They’re very accommodating, and I like them very much. They’re in tune with what my father-in-law needs. The room is small, but it’s as much as he needs and clean.
