I visited this facility

Mill Gardens at Midland Park is very homey and not too big. They're very accommodating. The staff members were very kind and understanding of the situation. The food was very good. They were in the process of renovating different parts. A new rug was being put in the dining room. The facility is well taken care of. The rooms were the biggest rooms I've seen and looked very nice. They don't nickel and dime you. The staff doctors are my physicians. I didn't know that when I went to see it, but that was reassuring, so I liked it very much.

My mom is in the assisted living side of Mill Gardens at Midland Park. At the moment, she's at a psychiatric center because she had kind of a breakdown and they're adjusting her medication, but they're talking about sending her back at the end of the week. The facility is very pretty and the staff is very kind and caring. Her room is very big, and the maintenance staff there is very helpful. Activities are difficult at the moment because of Covid, but they have had a Chinese New Year celebration, trivia games, bingo, entertainment, poker, music, and sing-a-longs. The food is good and the dining area is very pretty.

I visited this facility

I did a tour of Mill Gardens at Midland Park, and I would describe it as being an amazing place. I don't know about the care and the treatment, but what I saw is that the people that are living there were happy. Everybody was doing something. The staff there was engaging. The place is beautifully kept. If we are going to move my mother up north, that would be the place that we would have her. I know it's rated five stars, but I would give it more stars because the other places, they don't compare. The rooms are nice sized. They're clean, very nice, and comfortable. They look warm and inviting. The dining area is amazing. It looks like you're in a restaurant. We did not taste the food. They were doing tie-dyeing in one area and were getting ready to watch a movie in another. Some people were in the little library area reading. I didn't see them working on them, but I know that they were working on birdhouses because they were there getting ready for the next step. They have new awnings outside for the outdoor area, so that blocks the sun, and they can be outside. I think what impressed me was when before you walk in, you have to disinfect your hands. Then you walk, and they talk to you for a few minutes. Then they ask you to go into the bathroom and wash your hands with soap and water. When you come back out, there are disinfectants or antibacterial stuff all along the way so that everyone is very, very, very much proactive when it comes to COVID. The staff was knowledgeable, very pleasant, polite, and compassionate. Any of the other people that we spoke with: I spoke with the head, the director of nursing, and one of their head nurses; they were wonderful. Going in and seeing, anything could be different later on, when you're there. But now, looking at their clientele, they were happy, and it was very pleasant.

I visited my ex-boyfriend's mother often at Mill Gardens. It's excellent, and it's very clean. The staff was excellent. It's privately owned. They have a doctor that comes in every week. They also have a nurse that's there for eight hours and is on-call. They tend to the patients' needs. They had a beautiful menu, and the residents could order off of it. They had choices, like for dinner, they can get a fish dish, a pasta dish, or a chicken dish. They could also request something that's not on the menu. They have a social director that engages the people in different activities. They had entertainment coming in. They're very well staffed, and they're very good. The food was very good. Before we went there, they made a meal for us, and it was excellent. They had a menu where people like family members could come and eat for a small amount. I think it was $10 or $15 for dinner. The facility was immaculately clean. If I have to put my mother somewhere, I would put her there.

Mill Gardens was a very nice place, and the common areas were very nice as well. The person who took us around was very young, and wasn’t as knowledgeable. It was very quiet and it was in a residential area. The staff was very nice. It just wasn’t a good fit for my mom.

Our experience at Mill Gardens At Midland Park has been all positive. It's a very nice facility, very homey. The staff has been great. They have at least two activities a day for socialization, and an exercise program. Now that the weather is better, they have one to two outings a week. My mother-in-law is in a one-room studio, and it's very spacious. It's on the first floor, and it's overlooking a nice garden. She has a small kitchenette with a microwave and a refrigerator. She has a very large bathroom, which she can go into very easily. I actually ate with her several times, and the food is great. There is a very nice fish market and a meat market right in town that is excellent, and they have daily deliveries of fish, and so they always have fresh fish on the menu. For lunch and for dinner they usually have at least two or three selections of entrees. The residents can meet with the chef, and they have a meeting every two weeks where they talk about the menu and what people want on it. Their dining area is big enough to accommodate wheelchairs. There are flowers on the table all the time. It's very nice.

I visited this facility

Mill Gardens felt like a home than a facility. I went there and the place was well put together. The rooms were family styled, spacious and well-laid out with backyard patios. The residents could bring furniture in the rooms. There was an area for barbecue picnics and another area outside to walk around. A bus took them to church and there was a car service if they needed to go somewhere. There was also a salon for women to pamper themselves. I liked that the residents dressed up and didn't just sit around.
