RiverView Senior Resort was very nice. The man who gave us the tour was very nice. The rooms were a little small, but very well maintained. The dining room faced the water, so you're almost on a cruise ship. But it was very expensive, so it was beyond our budget. The dining area was beautiful. I think they said this place is only five years old, so everything is nice. They have a movie theater and a bistro. They have a general store where if you need a snack or something, you can go get it. But they give you three meals a day. So let's say you want a snack in the afternoon, you go to the country store and pick up a snack. It was all very nice.

We are very pleased with RiverView Senior Resort. We feel very comfortable having my mother-in-law there. We just liked it the best and it is close to her home here. So, it was a good fit. It is a very beautiful place that overlooks the river. It's high quality and the staff provides excellent service. We had lunch there and the food was very good. I think the value for the money is very good as well.

RiverView Senior Resort is a lovely place. My mother just loves it. We didn't think she was going to adjust well, but she adjusted right away and loves it. She has beautiful views out her window of the river. They put brand-new flooring in for her and her room is clean and sparkly. She likes going down to the restaurant and she likes the activity rooms. She's walking more, which is a wonderful thing, and it's lifting her spirits and her mood. She's socializing with others her age, and it's made a huge difference in her personality. She's just shining now. They have dominoes, ice cream socials, a garden club, and an exercise class. They go out once a week for outdoor activities if they would like, like going to Walmart or they might go out for lunch. I've eaten there several times and it's good. They've been wonderful. They made it very easy and smooth for us to move.

We toured RiverView Senior Resort. It was very pleasant. The dining room was magnificent. They have their own chef and their custom meals. You eat dinner, lunch, breakfast, or whatever, and you can look at the water. It was a very pleasant place to be. I wouldn't mind being there. The staff I met were polite and cordial. They have a nice veterans program. Anybody that is a veteran that resides there, their picture is framed on the wall. They cater to the residents. The staff was good. The building itself was very nice. For amenities and activities, they have shopping, they have games, there's a small pool and a weight room, and they also have physical therapy.

We have chosen RiverView Senior Resort for my brother. When you walk into this facility, it will knock your socks off. It was gorgeous. The facility was almost brand new. It was very clean, with nice wide hallways and an elevator. It was more affordable than where he is now. I met some of the residents and they were very nice. I took my brother over there too, and he met one resident that was a veteran like he is. They had a veteran's wall, which was nice. They had a beautiful view of the river. They had choices for meals, so it was not the same meal for everybody. They had a choice of two meals at dinner. They also have a canteen type of setup that's open all day long, if you want a hamburger or grilled cheese or a drink. They had way more activities than where he is now. They had a gym, a movie theater, and a swimming pool. Their dining room was gorgeous. They had a menu actually on the dining room table for the residents to see what they were having that day. They had two choices for a 1-bedroom with a separate bathroom. They had a kitchenette in each room with a nice-sized refrigerator. If you have someone in memory care that you would like to have a caregiver with, they have a 2-bedroom in memory care, for someone to be there with the resident all the time. The staff who gave us the tour tried to give us choices. She told us that if my brother wanted a 1-bedroom and had a good friend that would want to be there, then it would cost less for the two of them to be in the 1-bedroom she gave us. She thinks outside the box, which is a good thing. She tried to give us different ways to lower the cost, to make his money go further.

I loved RiverView Senior Resort. I found the people to be very friendly and very kind. The communication was very good. You could talk to them and they were considerate. They had the patience to sit there and talk to you and not rush you through interviews or anything. It's beautiful. When you sit in the dining room, you think you're on a cruise ship with the river flowing by. The food was very good. The lady showed me the different areas that they have there. The dining room, the rooms that the actual residents live in, the library, and all.

My initial reaction to seeing RiverView Senior Resort was that it was beautiful. It overlooks the river and the rooms were spacious enough. They were redoing the fifth floor with laminate, which was very important because my mother doesn't like rugs (so that was a perfect timing for me). The bathrooms were well-appointed for the handicapped, too. Their dining hall was magnificent. It was overlooking the river as well. It was a restaurant service with waitresses and waiters waiting on people. I think they even had tablecloths. It was just lovely. They have a multitude of activities. There's a pool table, a theater, and a salon. If my mother wanted to join something, there would be a variety of activities that she can participate in, both within the facility or trips outside.

RiverView Senior Resort was a nice and clean facility. However, the size of the units were too small for me. The biggest they had was a one-bedroom. I needed a one-bedroom with a den or a two-bedroom. The lowest unit they had was on the second floor, which will not work for me. They didn't have meals.

Provider Response

Hello Philip, We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit. We would like to clarify that we do serve three restaurant style meals a day. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact the community.

My grandparents have moved into RiverView Senior Resort. It's beautiful there. We called in and they scheduled the tour. We went there and they showed us all the rooms. It's on a river, which is nice so most of the rooms are looking out the river. They go fishing every Wednesday. They got a lot of activities that they do around that area. They go shopping at Ross and some days to Walmart, things of that nature. After that, they kind of schedule a doctor's visit for them to make sure they know what's going on and they could take care of them the right way. The price is a little too high, but we kind of bargained with them, like bring it down, which is nice for two people. Then, we signed a contract, gave them a check and they moved right in. There's no shared room. Everybody got their own room, and my grandparents got their own living space, too. It's like a condo. The staff are slow though. There are a couple of things that were kind of iffy when they first moved in. They didn't give us a list of things that we kind of need to do ASAP. I'm just 27 years old trying to look out for my grandparents, so I've been helping them out through the whole process. And they act like I should know what I'm doing, which I don't. I told them, 'If there's a way that you all can help the new people coming in with a list, that will be great". That way I know what I'm doing, I know what I could do, what I need to get to you guys ASAP,' things of that nature. And they're like, 'We'll put the pictures up for you and make it feel like home,' and they still haven't done it yet. They always have a little bit of excuse here and there. But other than that, everything else is good. They have three meals a day and snacks. The nurses come right away when my grandparents click the button. It's pretty good. Overall, the experience is good. Sometimes, you just have to get onto them about something, but I get it, there's a couple of maintenance guys and a whole bunch of people. It's a wonderful location though. They keep the community clean and organized. The food is pretty good, too. My grandfather eats everything.

I looked at about five different places down here in Palm Bay, and it seemed like RiverView Senior Resort was head and shoulders above the rest of the places, plus it's a little bit cheaper. They had a nice discount on veterans and veteran spouses. The building is surrounded by water on all three sides. It's very clean. Madeleine was very, very helpful. She was fantastic and everyone seemed to have a smile on their face. It was a very enjoyable place. I had lunch there one day and it was a good meal. They have a few different kinds of menus during the day. They have the breakfast menu, the lunch menu, and the dinner menu. Then they have an all-day menu where you can pick off of that just about any time during the day. All the meals are included, so even little snacks are taken care of. Their rooms are exactly what my mom needs. It's not very big, but they all have separate bedrooms and plenty of room for everything. They have quite a bit of activities. The whole second floor is geared toward activities, from crafts to having their own hair salon, a game room, a theater, a chapel, and a lot of nice big common areas. They have a swimming pool on the first floor looking out over the river and a couple of screened-in patios that are very nice with very comfortable furniture to sit outside overlooking the river again. There's a lot of room out back and a lot of grass to walk around on the property. It's like a vacation resort as opposed to just an apartment complex.

RiverView Senior Resort was too nice and it was very elegant, but it was a little more expensive than the others. It's on the river, and the views were spectacular. The facility was beautiful, the activities were great, and the staff seemed really nice. The rooms were nice too and were more suite style. The dining room was beautiful, and the menu looked good. The setting was very formal. I like a little more relaxed than that, but it was gorgeous. It's like a first class hotel, but it still was homey on the floors. They had a piano downstairs and a beautiful staircase. The person who took us around was very knowledgeable, but she wasn't sure of the answer to a few questions we had asked.

My mother is living in RiverView Senior Resort. We have had a very good experience with them. They take good care of my mom and have a lot of activities. They have very nice and clean rooms. The people are friendly. They have crafts where they make things, watercolor painting, gardening, movies, bingo, and Sunday services. They also have a lot of birthday parties and day trips if they're able to go. They offer three meals a day. They also have physical therapy, a theater area, game rooms, pool, and outside decks. It's a very nice place. The staff is very good, helpful, and friendly.

My family toured three memory care facilities in the area and we chose Riverview for my grandmother. The facility is just beautiful and inexpensive, compared to some other places. There are many activities for the residence to participate in. There is a beautiful water front dining room with great food that you can enjoy having meals at with your loved one. There are many places to sit and visit with your loved one, like a screened in patio or the beautiful pool area. There is also a beauty shop that my grandmother enjoys going to a couple times a month. The rooms are nice, clean and if you get one on the water, the view is AMAZING! ALL the staff is friendly and wonderful. They treat the residents like they are family and take very good care of them. It is very obvious that the well being and happiness of each resident is very important to all who work there. My grandmother is very happy at RiverView and has thrived since coming there in November. Our family does not worry about her because we know that she is receiving the best care at RiverView Senior Resort.
