I visited this facility
I was originally a volunteer that would go and visit the residents of Stonewood. I loved going there, the residents always seemed so happy. The staff was very kind and caring towards the residents. I would go and help out with meals and helped with religious services for the residents. I was so impressed with the facility that when it came time for my grandfather to need an assisted living facility I had him move there. The staff is always willing to help the residents and their families with anything. The facility is fairly small but that makes it so the residents interact more, but it isn't too small to not have any privacy. They have activities almost every night that include bingo and card night. The food is prepared in the on grounds kitchen and is just like home cooking. The rooms are nice and big and most of the residents have their own. The big rooms make it easy when your whole family comes to visit. Overall I really like Stonewood Manor and would recommend it to anyone looking for a little bit more personal touch in their care.

This facility is fantastic. The staff and faculty really care about and the love the residents. You can tell just from the way they interact with them, not as employees but as friends. You can also tell by all the activities and parties they throw for the residents. I was fortunate enough to be visiting during the birthday party for one of the residents. The staff really made it a big deal for him. Not only could his friends be there, but his family came as well. I don't know the gentleman and didn't want to intrude, but even I could see that it was important the way the staff treated him with love and respect and like he really matters, because he does"”all the residents do"”and the staff made sure to let him know it.

I am a friend or relative of resident
Recently my grandmother took a fall down some stairs and broke her leg. She has been living alone since her husband has severe Alzeimer's Disease and is also in an assisted-living facility. Stonewood provided here with physical therapy during her three-month recovery, and even got her out of there two weeks early. They were very helpful to her and treated her with respect whenever I observed. She is a very picky woman, yet even she was moderately content with the meals served at Stonewood Manor. Although this may not apply to everyone, I chose Stonewood Manor not based on reviews, but its proximity to her home and mine. No complaints here!
