Covington Senior Living of Orem is bright and clean. It looks like you're walking into a hotel almost. The room is clean and safe for my father. Their staff members are very loving and caring. They're very attentive and there's always lots of people around to help and answer questions. For activities, they do little exercise classes, they do a bus ride several times a week, and take them out on little trips, they bake bread once a week, and they do a little cooking activity with them. They have craft activities. They had a little fireworks show for them one night. They take them outside and play games like charades with them. The food is cafeteria food. I wouldn't call it five-star dining, but they are healthy, well-balanced meals.

We just had a really good feeling about Covington Senior Living of Orem, that's why we moved Mom there. It is very bright. It's got big windows and they have a lot of activities specifically for memory care units. A lot of the places that we went to didn't have activities specific to memory care. They have a lady that plays the harp there every week. They have service opportunities for the residents. They have opportunities to sing like people come in with guitars and they can sing with them, and they do crafts. The food is pretty good. Their main meal is lunch, and that's probably the best meal. They do it family style where they bring the residents to the dining room. The staff is very nice and very helpful. They understand how hard the transition is to bring someone into memory care. They were just very kind, nice, and good people. They care about Mom.

I visited this facility
I liked how friendly and professional the tour guide was at Covington Senior Living of Orem. She was excellent. I liked the facility itself. I thought the memory care was designed well. It was warm and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and bigger than I expected. I also liked the water feature and the fact that they have barbers that came in that we could hire to do Mom's hair. The common areas seemed nice and warm.

My dad has been at Covington for 4 years. We are very happy with his experience here. Staff has been prompt to address any issues that have arisen and the DN has gone the extra mile to make sure his needs are met. There are lots of great activities and the people in charge of those are gifted with what they provide as well as in their relationship with the residents. Love this place!

I visited this facility
Covington Senior Living of Orem was very nice. The people seemed to be happy with their circumstances. I didn't try the food. I did look at the menus and received menus for them and shared that with the family that I was trying to assist. The food looked good and smelled good. Very nice rooms, very nice bathrooms, little fridges, microwaves, just really well done. They had sort of a games room area, they had a movie area, and they had kind of a little library area. They just seemed good. The Covington seemed a little larger to me, a little brighter, a little more open than the other place I went to.

I am/was a resident of this facility
It was fine & dandy until now (2020). This year, most of the workers went to a non-caring, self fulfilling mode all year. I've lived here 3 years now, and it's only got worse.. Barking dogs at bedtime, yelling repeatedly in the night from people who haven't had their medications, etc. I though this was a rest home, not a looney bin! The excersise room is pretty pathetic, too. No excersise here.

My wife was there for memory care and on fall precautions and in less than two months had to be transferred for an unexplained fall...broken femur... and instead of notifying me contacted our disabled son first....terrible place.

Covington Senior Living was a really pretty place. They offered almost all of the same stuff as others but it seemed that they're somewhat new.

The rooms are wonderful but could yse more closet space. The staff are very caring and on top of things There’s daily snd weekly activities and the residents get involved The common areas along with family and LDS church attendance are very nice. We are thrilled to have mother in such a lovely home.

My visit at Covington went very well. The place was great. It was a good experience. They treated us very well; they worked with us very well. The staff was incredible. I would highly recommend Covington.

Just moved my grandfather in the staff are amazing and so attentive. Love the fresh food. The moving company handled all his furniture and items with such care.

Assisted Living - Services include caring help with activities of daily living. These services can include shower assistance, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, medication management, laundry services, room trays, escorts and more. We have a full-time registered nurse at Covington who meets with you and together you’ll create a customized, detailed care plan. Naturally as needs change, we’ll change the care plan, together. Our staff provides encouragement, care and support, with exceptional standards of dignity.
Memory Care - Our memory care communities kindly help individuals who require more assistance with daily activities. A higher staffing ratio allows our team to provide residents with loving care specific to their needs.
Safety is a key priority at Covington Senior Living. Our Memory Care Unit is always locked to eliminate the chance of wandering. Each resident is given an advanced fall monitoring pendant. Each resident can press their button to notify staff when they need assistance. If a fall occurs, the pendant will alert staff immediately.
Other services include; showering, dressing and personal hygiene assistance, restroom assistance, medication management, laundry services, as well as escorting to and from meals and activities.
Activities in Memory Care include animal therapy, reading time, music experiences, cooking demonstrations, ice cream parties, exercise, scenic drives, and so much more! It is our goal to provide activities that help our residents feel joy every day while stimulating cognitive functions.
Family is encouraged to visit often and participate in activities with their loved ones.
