We were going to put dad into the Sommerset Neighborhood, but he passed away, so we didn't. The staff was very nice. It was clean and a pleasant place. It was pretty big with long halls and stuff. So I kind of wonder about how they get around that well in those places, but it was nice. They had a pretty large dining room and it was also nice. The room was nice, too. There was no carpet. It was a hard floor. So, I was hoping that my dad would be all right, but it was clean. I didn't talk to very many people, but we liked the lady I talked to.

Sommerset Neighborhood has been caring for my in-laws. It seems to be a very stable, caring environment. Everybody there seems to enjoy their work and care about the residents. They seem to be very comfortable, very clean, and very well run. Activities seem very appropriate, stimulating, and enjoyable to the residents. The staff seems very well trained, caring, and compassionate. I have not met anyone there who didn't seem kind and considerate. My father-in-law seems to enjoy the food. I haven't tasted it myself, but I think it's fine.

My mom lived here for three months before she passed away. I found the staff to be very helpful and kind to her even when she wasn’t back to them. She was in Level 2 care and then moved to Progressive as her health deteriorated. The facility moved everything for us. Communication was good from them as things happened. I felt that my mother was safe there with their extra screenings. They were very kind to us after she passed working with us as we had to move her things out. I visited several facilities and this was the one of the best and the lowest price.

My mother was in Sommerset Neighborhood when she had dementia. She went in in December 2018, and then she passed in May 2019. They were very nice. They took really good care of her. She had to go in because she was at the point with her dementia that she needed full-time care for everything like feeding, bathing, and medication. She needed 24/7 care. My brother had taken care of her until that point, and it had just gotten too much for him. So, they were really good. They took really good care of her. They kept her clean, dressed, washed her, gave her medicines, and made sure she ate. They were a really good facility. I had no complaints. They did a good job with her. The staff was great. I never did see what their activities were because my mom was not in the condition to do activities. I had eaten with her.

We chose the Sommerset Neighborhood for my mom because of a couple of factors. First, we liked the size of it. It's relatively small, so I felt like my mom would not get lost. Because it's small, the staff can see pretty much all the rooms from the common central area. Secondly, was the price or cost. The rooms they have are nice. They're adequate. The staff has been good to address any issues that we've identified, and the aide has been wonderful to my mom. The dining area is nice too. Since this is for memory care, only the memory care folks eat in there; it's a small dining area. They have an activity director that engages them in group activities, and then there's also an occupational speech therapist that works with the residents as well.

I met with the lady at Sommerset Neighborhood, the one that I talked to on the phone. She was very nice and very pleasant. The rooms were even better than the other facility. They were very nice. The problem there is they divide the area into multiple areas depending on the level of care the person needs (like moderate, light, or a lot of care). The staff said they would put my sister into a lot of care because she needs help going to the bathroom and pretty much with everything. When I went to that area, it was a very depressing area because everyone seemed to be at death's door. I don't want to put my sister in that environment because she is not quite like that. Also, they don't have the respite care there. They just simply have you move in, and then you give a 30-day notice to move out. You have to pay for a whole month whether she stayed there a month or a week. It was not a very good set-up for respite care. The staff quoted a price and it included everything. I liked it, but it was very expensive.
