We thought the outside look of Mitchell Manor Oak Creek assisted living facility was nice as we drove up. We decided to visit the facility while looking at places for our aunt to live in the area. We stopped in without an appointment and the staff graciously allowed us to take a a tour.
The interior foyer area was lovely with fresh flowers. The rooms were fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. The colors throughout the building were soothing and comfortable. Each room was beautifully decorated and furnished.
Seniors are encouraged to get exercise daily either outside or in the exercise room. They offer instructed aerobics and yoga classes, They also had DVDs available.
The residents go on regular trips into town to enjoy to the many events that Oak Creek and the surrounding area offers, from art and museums, to shopping and eateries at casual and fine restaurants.
The meals we saw looked and smelled delicious and were nutritiously prepared. The menus had a nice mix of foods and they can also prepare special requests. Healthy snacks were offered throughout the day and whenever desired.
Residents had easy access to the grounds outside, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely each day - with plenty of space to have cookouts, parties and picnics.
The facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. Community rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture. The seniors can easily socialize, make crafts, play games, watch TV and watch films and participate in many other stimulating activities.
The private living spaces featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. All units had a great deal of natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture.
