My mother has moved into Insignia of Newnan. We initially needed to find some place that had the 24-hour care due to the level of care that she was needing, and Insignia provides that along with memory care if things actually get worse, so we liked that. It's also very close to where we live, so I can go and see her on a daily basis. She got a semi-private room. It's like a Jack and Jill, so there are two rooms but one bathroom. She shares a common bathroom, but she has a private room. The staff is very nice. They've been very helpful and accommodating her and taking care of her. She likes it there. She gets the care that she is most needing, so that's the important part. They have daily activities that are scheduled throughout the month. They have bingo, coloring, and crafts. They make different items or they can watch TV. There's a front porch where you can sit. It's nice and cool if it's warm out. They have the activities posted on the calendar. The TV room is like a library. They have smaller private rooms, but they're at the end of the hallways. If somebody wanted to watch a different TV program or something with somebody, they could do that. They also have cable TV in the rooms. Mom has her own TV if she just wants to sit in her room and watch TV. They have a beauty salon so that you can sign up for services for your hair, nails, or whatever. The meals are very well rounded and they are very punctual. They have their regimen that they do every day, so there's a nice schedule. The food is good and they accommodate different diets or likes or dislikes.

My father will be moving into Insignia of Newnan. It's very family oriented. It's clean, and it was just very good. The staff during the tour did an excellent job. We chose a private room, and it has a closet and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. There were a lot of people as you walk in. To the left is a game room area. The residents were all sitting around, and there were multiple wheelchairs in there. They were playing some game at one point. It was nice to see them out. There is a barber beauty shop and a front porch with rocking chairs, but no courtyard.

Insignia of Newnan seemed like an older place, and it was a further drive for me. I just didn't feel like it was a good fit for me. It seemed like it was more intense long-term care, and it was rehab-type things. A lot of the people looked like they were elderly and needed a lot of care. I didn't spend a whole lot of time there. I just did the tours and saw the facilities. I knew my wife's likes and dislikes, and I just didn't think she would be really comfortable there. I saw the short-term rooms. It has been there for a long time, and it was pretty basic. For a short term, it wasn't very cheerful, and it was right next to the train tracks, too. The staff seemed to be very caring, and they've been there a long time, which is good because there's such a big turnover in that industry. So it was good that they had been there for a long time, and they seemed to know their patients very well, which was nice. But since it was only going to be for a month, it wasn't going to suit our needs. For me, I was having surgery, and to have to drive back and forth there, would be more of an effort than I would want to do. It was just a lot further away than I wanted to go.

Our mother resided at Insignia for 18 months prior to her death. She was well cared for by the staff. The residents share on various activities such as games, bingo, church services, and singing. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. During the final week of our mothers life, staff would drop in the room and share memories of her with family. Staff member visited prior to her passing to check on her, hold her hand and tell their goodbyes. We could not have asked for better care.

My mother is in Insignia of Newnan. It's very clean and everybody is very nice. She's getting really good care there. Everybody's very kind to her. Her room is big enough for her needs. It's a small room, but she's bedridden, so she doesn't need a whole lot. She can't really go to any activities. They won't let me in because of the COVID. I have seen him watch TV when we were able to go in for just a little bit, but I haven't been in in a while because of the COVID. She hasn't been there that long. We've moved her since the COVID hit. They have a nice dining area. I know they are letting people go and eat in the dining room, but they have to stay apart, like sitting at separate tables right now. They have a huge front porch, and that's about all I've seen. They have a TV room that's really big, and they probably play games in there.

Insignia of Newnan had assisted living and memory care facilities. The people were great, and the director was really nice and easy to get along with. The facility was old and outdated, and it needed to be updated. The staff was well adjusted to caring for residents with memory loss. The assisted living part was more like a home, but the memory care area was more like an institution.

My brother is in Insignia of Newnan and it is a very nice place. He is doing good there so far. My brother had nice-sized servings for lunch when I went there. They had a lot of activities, like going places and shopping. He has a nice room, which is big enough for a TV, double bed, chairs, recliner, and bathroom. The staff was very nice and friendly. My brother seems to be satisfied there.
