The community of Brookdale Newnan was very good. It was not as spacious as the first one we went to, but it was very well-maintained. As I reflected on walking through the various areas of the community, the people were very engaged. We saw some senior programs and people were involved in those programs and community activities. They were very, very well cared for. The staff was very attentive to the residents. Everything was spontaneous. We met several of the staff and they took time to greet us and talk to us as well as when we took our mother-in-law by, and she was also very comfortable with them in how they greeted her.

We have found Brookdale Newnan. We are moving in gradually. We have a two-bedroom-two-bathroom room with a small living room and a kitchen. So far, so good. We like it. It's very nice compared to others. I only visited another one, which I liked, but it was just too expensive, and I couldn't get in there. I like the two-bedroom-two-bath and the price was good, but they're going to have a rate increase soon. My husband and I had budgeted just so much for this. My daughter might have to help us depending on the increase. We're not happy with that. We just got here and we're going to be hit with an increase. That sounds kind of bad to me. So that's my only complaint. The staff are very nice. The housekeeper has just left the house, and she was lovely. It's a very nice community. I'm happy here. We have not partaken yet in activities because we are still trying to get out of our other house. It's just so much. As soon as we're in completely, we'll take part in the activities. They have a calendar that they publish, and we use the calendar to decide if we're going to participate or not. It's very nice. I would recommend it to anyone. I've talked to other residents, and they have a food committee that is going to meet this week. Every morning at our door, we get a menu of the day's main meal, which is considered lunch, and the light meal, which is considered dinner. We have a choice as to what we want. The food is not tremendous, but it's okay. My only suggestion for improvement is the food.

Brookdale Newnan was a unique little facility. It was smaller than I had anticipated that it would be, but I could tell that it was a tight-knit community. The staff members were very nice. It was a little more quaint. It didn't feel as hospital-like quality. It felt more like a smaller senior citizen living facility. They had small activities every day. They didn't have any sort of workout facility. It was mostly centered around communal things; TV watching, gardening, and not many trips off of campus.

I'm in Brookdale Newnan. I like the maid service, and I have my meals brought to my room most of the time because of the problem I have. My eyes bounce up and down, so therefore I have trouble walking. I use a walker, and I'm in the independent side. I very much like my one-bedroom unit. I have maid service once a week, I have three meals a day, and the food has become really good. We've gotten some good cooks in -- some chefs with chef degrees -- and they're really good. The dining room is really nice, and I don't know if we're still sitting two to a table or if we've gone to four to a table. We don't have COVID problems. We have excellent nursing care but not on my end. Nurses are not allowed up here, but they're very polite to us when we go down there if we have questions. They do not advise us what medicines to take, but if we have questions about the staff here, we can ask. I don't want to infringe on what their duties are because I don't know. We have bingo and lots of trivia, and a new lady has come in. In the past, we've had the activities advisor go to the library, get a list of books, and bring them back, and we've been allowed to keep them an extra week or two. The staff is really helpful. The cleaning staff is really good. The activities are awesome. We even had a night where we did trivia, but it was geared towards our guests: a football team who came in and stayed with us. That was fun, and we all got excited. The value for the money is good.

Brookdale Newnan was able to take care of my mom's dogs. So far it's okay, it's been good and they're learning. It's just a little frustrating because they want us to get COVID-tested beforehand, so we did and I got the results back. Then we got ahead and got the COVID test there, so now we're waiting for their result to come back. But they're being extra cautious, so one hand it's frustrating and on the other hand I understand why they're doing it. They're all kind of staying in their apartments, not going out like for dining. They bring the meals to the residents. The staff gave us a lot of information and sent us a lot of updates, so it's good. They're very helpful, very caring, and very attentive. They've been super nice. The appearance is great; it's nice and neat. They can improve on processing paperwork that I've needed to get, I haven't got them yet, and I had to pester them for receipts and whatnot which I've needed to be able to get financial aid for my step-dad. That's the only thing. The staff has really been attentive to my parents.

The staff at Brookdale Newnan was very professional, nice, and friendly. The facility was very clean, updated, looked really nice, and was very homey. The dining area was quaint and comfortable. They offered transportation into town, to the grocery store, out to eat, or to doctors' appointments.

Brookdale Newnan was great, and we liked them. It's very nice. The director was super nice and gave us a tour. The facilities were great and close to where I live. We were shown a one-bedroom. They had a dining area and TV area, and an area where you can sit outside or walk your dog.
