Streamside Assisted Living

We toured Streamside Assisted Living. We were impressed with their facility, and the man that gave us the introduction and took us through the facility did really well. The people that were working there all were smiling and enjoying doing what they were doing.

I had an in-person tour of Streamside Assisted Living. They were not prepared for us to be there. I got a tour from one of their employees and not from one of their administrators. The staff who gave me a tour was pleasant, but she didn't have the knowledge of what I needed. They should water their garden because their little garden areas were dead. There was bird poop all over the place. The place looked unkept. The furniture was old and rundown. I was told that they were doing a remodel, but that had not been done yet.

I talked to a resident at Streamside Assisted Living & Memory Care and she raved about the place and the food. I saw the room that my sister would go into and it was very nice. The place got plenty of staff roaming around the halls too. It looks like it's very well run and people know what they're doing there. I also spoke with the executive operating officer and I found him very forthcoming and very personable. Everybody I met there was very, very personable. They had excellent facilities. The only thing they're lacking is a gym but they're doing a lot of renovations so they may put that in later.

We toured Streamside Assisted Living & Memory Care. They seemed to be a caring group. It's not just the buck they're after. They really seemed to care about their residents. They have knowledgeable staff. We met with their director. They were very helpful. They suggested we contact other services besides them, so that we could get a better idea of what's involved. We saw all of the rooms. We saw large rooms and small rooms, and we saw the other wing where they have patients that have Alzheimer's and dementia and so on. We saw both areas. They're undergoing a current million dollar renovation, and that includes painting the rooms and re-carpeting. They were playing bingo at the time. They have a room where you could have a private meeting with family and so on to watch a movie or whatever. They have a patio. Several rooms face the patio, so they have access that way. There's a garden area as well so you can do some gardening, planting flowers, that sort of thing.

It was excellent. It was pretty nice, the rooms seemed really nice, they had a hair salon, kind of like an exercise, and some rec room. They do have activities. It's hard to do much with COVID-19.

My aunt moved here. They've been very nice. It's clean, and there's a very friendly atmosphere. The staff is very helpful. They have different games, music, and over the weekend, they have church services. The food is really good, the dining room is really nice, it's open, and it's a place where they can get together, meet each other, and socialize.
