I visited this facility

We put a deposit at Mount Angel Towers. It sat out in the country. They have lots of grounds, and they have lots of activities. They have a big wood workshop that men can go to. The staff is great. The residents are very happy to be there. Everybody has smiles on their faces. It's a big facility, so there are a lot of people there. The rooms are nice. They are big, and they have redone them all. My in-laws chose a two-bedroom and some windows go from one side of the apartment to the other side of the apartment. You can look out and see all the grounds, and it's a beautiful view. We had a meal there. It's restaurant dining. You can go in and just order anything you want off the menu at any time you want to eat. The food was really good. I think what sold my in-laws to the place were the apartment and the residents. The apartment was big, and the view was incredible. It had tons and tons of storage, and it had a full kitchen, too. And that's hard to come by these days. There were 10 residents that came and told us that they loved living there, that they had been there for so many years, and that it was the best thing they ever did. The staff was super great and super accommodating, too. We loved how they interacted with everybody else that was there. The price was a huge point as well. It was considerably lower than the normal range in Oregon. As far as the hallways and the main gathering areas are concerned, those were not super upscale. They weren't bad, but it was super clean and well-kept. They also had a huge selection of every kind of breakfast item from waffles to pancakes to French toast to omelets to eggs to bacon to sausage, to ham, anything you could imagine. And then they had a huge selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, and pasta. You can pick what you want to eat. You can either come at breakfast or lunch. You can come in between and get a meal, and then you come to dinner. That's kind of how they do it there.

My mom is liking it at Mount Angel Towers very well. She has a nice one-bedroom apartment. The facility has been very good and the staff is very helpful overall. So far, we're very satisfied with the choice. It's a good place. The meals are included, and it's affordable for independent/assisted living. It's a good option for families and is something that should be looked at if they're looking around. They have done well and we've been very happy with it. I've eaten there once and it was good. Mom has a small kitchen in her apartment, so sometimes she still likes to fix stuff for herself, but she partakes in their meals 75% of the time. My siblings have been over there to see mom and had lunch or dinner with her, and the food's been very good. The facility is very clean, it's a little dated but they keep it up. They have a walking group, they have card groups, an exercise room, walking trails, and a walking path outside. In that aspect, they seem to be thinking about their elderly guests, so there are things for them to do. They've got pool tables, card tables, and TVs in the living room. So if you wanted to go downstairs to the main floor, you can sit down there and play cards, watch TV, or read a book, or you get on each floor by the elevators. They have a library in the building where you can get books from the public library brought to the facility. It's a pretty good place, you get a good bang for the buck.

Mount Angel Towers is just perfect for my sister. It has beautiful grounds with lots of flowers and trees, where she can walk around. It's really pretty, and it's not too far from here. It has a wonderful dining hall and places to sit. It's really comfortable. It's kind of like being at home. The rooms are nice. They're a decent size, and they're also beautiful. They have a laundry room. Some of the units on the ground have a patio, and people can have plants out there. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. My sister has made lots of friends already. The girls that help in the dining room are just really nice, too. It's a big building, and it's laid out very nicely. The landscaping is wonderful. They have an elevator, a library, and a game room. Their meals are very good. They are engaged toward people's appetites and how much they can eat (or should eat). They even have a salad bar. You can go out and take walks any time you want to. It's on a curved road. They planted blueberries on one side, and anybody could just pick them. Across the fence is a beautiful hopyard. It's really nice, and the price is reasonable.

After visiting several places near my daughter in Silverton , I chose Mr. Angel . When I visited here everyone was friendly and having fun . It felt like home . I’m glad I did . It’s an older building but well maintained and I have a nice apparent with a patio . The food and service is very good with caring staff . I recommend anyone thinking about a retirement community coming here to look.

My husband and I were first attracted to The towers by the friendliness of the clientele, the wonderful grounds full of accessible fruit trees and bushes, garden plots for us to grow whatever we wish, the beautiful views from every room, the close proximity of country drives to parks and little towns, the chapel and religious services, game playing activities from bridge to dominoes, exercise equiptment and pool table, musical entertainment and the kitchen staff's friendly endeavors to provide foods for special diets and wants. During this last year's struggles with the pandemic, fires, and devastation from storms, our owner, herself, and the staff, took a personal hands-on care of us. We've been here for almost two years and I still say what I said after our first month, "This feels like home!"

We live in a large two bedroom, two bath, apartment at Mt. Angel Towers. The cost is very reasonable compared to other facilities we visited. There is a homey atmosphere, with friendly staff and residents. During the past several months as Covid19 has taken it’s toll, we have been able to maintain many activities such as Bean Bag Baseball and Bingo. Thankfully, because of careful observance of guidelines, we have not had one case of the virus among residents. We have beautiful grounds with a Koi Pond, walking paths, and garden plots. We are very happy with our decision to retire here.

I expected more concern for resident health during a Pandemic. Half of the people are not wearing a mask. No Social distancing. It is suggested not required. I don’t consider this a safe place for vulnerable seniors. The food is good unless you need to stay away from salt.

My parents are residents of Mt Angel Towers and they have an apartment there. My dad was moved down to assisted living, so the obvious convenience is that they're both staying in the same place and have access to each other. It's an older community, so it's not as contemporary as the ones I've visited. We're still kind of on a trial basis. But overall, the care and the attention that this community provides for their active living residents is the same for the assisted living residents as well. He gets the care that he needs, and we have not had any major issues so far.

I am in Mt. Angel Towers. I have my own apartment, it's a garden apartment, it opens outside, and it's very nice. The food here is wonderful, you have choices, and there's always a salad bar. They have brunch and dinner. The staff is wonderful, always happy, smiling, and willing to do anything. Last night we had a party for Mardi Gras and happy hour. It's like living in a 5-star hotel. They get the residents going, smiling, laughing, and participating.

My brother moved into Mt. Angel Towers, and he's got a garden apartment, which he likes very much. He likes to visit friends at the golf course. It's convenient for me, as I live in the Mount Angel area. I'm really pleased with the place.

I am happy with Mt. Angel Towers. I feel like it has a lot to offer my mom with activities, socialization, and accessibility. They have a nice restaurant, and they takes them to different places, so you are not just sitting in an assisted living place. She seems to be settling in.

I visited this facility

We visited Mt. Angel Towers and decided that’s the place we would choose. It was in a beautiful setting. They had nice apartments. They had all the amenities that we were looking for. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Everybody seemed to be friendly there. They had all sorts of rooms from studio to two-bedroom. They also had two-bedroom deluxe which were larger than a regular two-bedroom. Maybe they could improve on updating the rooms in the apartments. Maybe they could add a little more color in the rooms. The facility was about 50 years old. They had a very nice lounge area for you to sit. They had a fireplace and the large auditorium where they hold events or church services.

Mt. Angel Towers was nice, and the staff is nice and friendly. I really liked the 1-bedroom apartment, and the food was fine and tasty. The pricing is reasonable, and they let you fence out an area so you don't have to tie your dog out.

Mt. Angel Towers was very nice, but we decided that we would stay in our home. Certainly all the rooms were great, but they were a little small. Getting around and being able to do things was easy. The staff was certainly nice.

Mount Angel Towers is both independent and assisted living. It is very friendly and has the usual games. Plus, there is a lot of opportunity for self-activities. The rooms are roomy, comfortable, up to date, and well maintained. They have excellent food. The dining area is pleasant and roomy and has a nice view of the orchard.

I am in Mt. Angel Towers. I chose it because I knew some people from my church that had gone here and liked it, and partly because when I walked in, everybody was so friendly and that makes a big difference for me. They have good food, a really good library, a room where we can play pool, and a room where we can play games but we don't have a swimming pool. We have lots of activities, likes games, and go to lots of different places on two buses, like dinner and a lot of things.

My mother is in Mt. Angel Towers now since the middle of January. I absolutely love it and my mother loves it. Everything is very nice and very helpful. Her room is cleaned every week and it’s a beautiful room. The food is excellent. I don’t have a complaint with them at all.

Mount Angels Towers was a really good one. The staff was great, helpful and friendly. The staff and the people were like family. My in-laws were there probably for three years. We ate there a lot and they had good food. I thought it was cool because people used what they had that was special for them and put them up on the walls not just the walls in their apartment, but they used them as decors and they were beautiful. There was school really close and it was part of their care that the kids could come over to see their grandparents regularly. They had a lot of activities like barbeque, October fest and they had family Christmas parties that we could come in and had a big room for 30 or 40 people and I really enjoyed doing that.I was in a beautiful little German town that had a unique personality. The town was small and everybody knew each other and I liked that it was a community where they were familiar with a lot of people and a lot of their church friends moved there. The Catholic Church was just down the street. It was close that they could walk down to the grocery store. My in-laws were happy there. I would recommend them to others.

This facility does not train it's caregivers properly, if they train them at all. Most of the time the caregivers stand around talking or on their phones. They don't answer or ignore call lights Speak Spanish instead of English around residents. (in fact they have been asked not to speak Spanish when caregiving but they still do)

Mt. Angel Towers was an old facility. It was not maintained properly. My parents lived for quite some time but I transferred them. The staff were not very responsive and the food was not delicious at all.

Overall, my experience with this facility went rather well. First off, my grandpa loves it here and seems very happy and has quite a few friends. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a good relationship with my grandpa and the other residents they interact with and know them on a personal level. They truly seem to care and make guests feel comfortable as well. The residents rooms are kind of small though. They basically are just a bedroom connected to a small kitchenette/living room. They don't seem very homey, although I only saw my grandpa's room, and other residents may have decorated theirs to be more like home. The dining room was very large and accommodating to visiting families. The staff help seat you and were very kind. The menu had quite a few choices and the food was way better than ii had expected for an assisted living facility! They even had champagne for residents and guests that requested it. There was also a long table of fresh muffins and desserts for those who wanted them. I didn't get to see any game rooms or banquet rooms,, but my grandpa said there were plenty of activities to keep him busy. There is also a bus that runs daily in to town so the residents can shop, get meals elsewhere, or just get some fresh air. My grandpa said he even got out to enjoy some of the Oktoberfest activities in September. I would definitely recommend this facility to other families just based on the fact of how happy my grandpa is living there.
