I'm very satisfied with Angels For The Elderly. The staff seems to be good and caring to my dad. The food is great. They serve in the dining room, and they serve hot food after everyone gets in there, which is a giant plus for an elderly facility. The activities director was always doing things with the people as a group. My dad wasn't a very social person, but he got to where he talked to a lot of people and was involved in a lot of the activities and enjoyed it. I don't have any negative about the place. The dining area is very nice. If they were in wheelchairs, they would help them to the dining room before the meals, and they were all in place before they serve them their food, which was great. The place is very clean and nice, too. They have a nice outside patio. The tenants can go out there. They have like a Florida room, which is pretty nice. It has plants in it, and there's a like giant puzzle table and people can come work on it for a few minutes and leave or whatever. Anyone there can come in and work on the puzzle. The dining area is large, and part of it is for like lounging or fellowship with a big-screen TV. Overall, everything was pretty nice.

Angels for the Elderly felt cramped, and it was a lot smaller. On the inside it was smaller, and the hallways were not very wide. There were only one room apartments. Also, if you didn't come out, you were just in this one room all the time. The staff that we talked to, which was not many, were nice, but they didn't really go out of their way to welcome us except for the one head person that we were dealing with. We did not even see the dining area; they didn't take us there. Their rooms were small, it has just one bathroom and a small closet, it just felt really cramped. The atmosphere was just kind of blah. They never showed us activities calendar or anything like that. There were a lot of residents just sitting in the hallway when we went. So, I don't know what kind of activities they had planned.

I went to the Angels for the Elderly. The rooms seemed fine. The staff seemed fine, although I didn't meet too many people. It didn't seem as warm because I hardly saw anybody in the common areas. I don't know if I came at the wrong time, but I just didn't see that more warm environment. The rooms were a little bit more dated, not too bad, but there were two reasons why I didn't select them. The price was more, they were a thousand more a month, and the location was much farther away from us in Montgomery. Montgomery is not that fantastic of a city, especially in certain parts of it. It's really a crime ridden city these days. So, I guess that would be the distance of the drive, the actual location being in Montgomery, and then the higher price. The building facade was fine.

We love Angels For The Elderly and we think it's a good place for my mother. The care that they provide is good, and she seems to be settling in. They have activities like singing, they just had their Christmas party yesterday, and she said it was really nice. The one time I had it the food seemed really good, they had burgers and fries, baked beans, coleslaw, and she seemed to enjoy that. The food smells good, and she seems to be eating, so that's a good sign. So far, her apartment is clean. She doesn't have much in there, we just put some stuff in not too long ago, outside of the bed or the basics, but it's not dirty or anything. I saw them decorating for Christmas. They had military people come in and it was really nice. They had wreaths on all the windows, doors, and they had the Christmas tree up. They also had a ventriloquist come in to perform for the residents.

This is by far the best facility in Montgomery for your loved one. My father was not an easy resident at times and Angels staff patiently managed his care and moods! My family felt at ease to leave town knowing he would be well taken care of. We all became family in caring for Daddy.

My father in law was at Angels for the Elderly, but he has had health problems, and he is in the hospital now. It’s very nice. It's ideal for patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s, very secure. He seems very content there and said he likes the food. The staff was helpful and friendly. They do have activities to keep them moving.
