This facility should be shut down. They look great on the surface for they are great at hiding the truth. When I went to Carillion as a temporary home for my sister I was misled and promised things By the Executive Director that did not happen We are now facing huge bills for things promised but now forgotten. The copays on pharmaceuticals were outrageous and not anywhere close to what you would pay at your local pharmacy. The food was horrible, the beds were uncomfortable and after 5:00 PM activities were non existent. This not the place to leave a loved one

When my father first moved to Carillon at Indian Trail location, the staff, marketing person and management and food was great. After about 6 months and a big turnover in staff and management, the care and the residents activities changed . They had trouble keeping staff there long enough to get to know the residents and their needs. Everything I went in to visit my dad, all the residents were sitting in one room or their own rooms with nothing to do but watching TV. I realize it is hard job but with the correct training of staff, i feel more could have been done for the residents to keep them occupied. Their rules were a little strict about what the residents could have in their rooms, it should be based on the resident as an individual. Everyone is at a different level in the memory care center. I was not happy with his care there at all. They would let him go without eating because they can't make him after 3 attempts (what I was told). A lot of families ended up moving their loved one to a different place as did I. Would not recommend putting your loved one at this facility.

I liked Carillon Assisted Living at Indian Trail a lot. It's very homey. The staff seemed good and attentive. The dining area is nice and they have several different areas where they can eat. They have a whole calendar of different activities like arts and crafts or outings. They have a salon and outside patios. The lady who showed me around was very helpful and reached out to me several times. The facility was very clean, warm, and welcoming. The rooms were a good size and I liked it. It didn't look like you were in an institution.

We chose Carillon for my aunt. It was convenient for her sister and extremely clean. The staff appeared to be very caring, and it just worked for our family. She's been there a couple of months. We've gone to two family days on Thursday evening of every month, and the food has always been excellent.

Carillon is only five years old. So, it is fairly new, well-maintained, and clean. They have a good staff. My mother has another person with her in the room. So, they are two in a room, but it is in a nice size. The food is adequate. They have activities like bingo, puzzles, and that sort of thing. They try to keep their residents functional and active.

Carillon was on top of our list. It was very good, very friendly, well kept up, clean, and had lots of activities. It was close to home. The lady had been able to answer our questions. They didn't have private rooms; they said that the patients do better with company.

We visited Carillon Assisted Living. The staff was very nice. The rooms/apartments were beautiful. It was really an attractive place. The dining room was beautiful. It was very cheerful. It had little tables with nice tablecloths, and they brought the food out to the tables.

I visited Carillon with my dad and he really liked it, but when I inquired that my mom is coming too, the only thing that they had was a small bedroom. They were not eligible for the adjoining rooms. My mom would have to stay privately and that was too expensive for us. They have many activities such as taking people out shopping and excursions.

The facility in its self is very nice, they have multiple rooms on certain wings depending upon the resident's needs. They always provide round the clock service so no one is ever left waiting on some urgent need. Medication transactions to the residents are also always carried out in a very orderly fashion.Residents seem to be well taken care of, they are kept on regular bath schedule for anyone who needs that special assistance so nobody is left sitting in filth which seems to be a big problem in a lot of homes these days. They are fed three meals and snacktimes. They also go off of the site as a group to maybe do some shopping for small groceries. And every year the residents participate in the local Christmas parade. The only negative about this facility is the workers although they get the job done seem miserable and so unhappy about doing it. They neveer really seem truly happy which can be a big negative for the senior living in the home.
