My mom will move into Cedarhurst Assisted Living of Moline. I like the size of the rooms, the size of the hallways, the more modern assisted living, and the smaller quantity of people. I think there's like 46 beds in there. It's a nice round building, so no matter which way you do your walking, you'll always end up at your room. The staff are very friendly. The patients are all friendly and eager to help. It's a very impressive place. The appliances are there in the room, but everything else you have to bring. It's just a bare room with a refrigerator and a microwave in the kitchen. The bathroom is just a walk-in handicapped accessible shower, and there's a big closet in the bathroom. It's really nice and good enough for most people. The person who took me around was very good, very friendly, and very attentive to what we needed.

My mother was there 3 months. The first month was fine, except that neither her pendant or wall alarm worked when she moved in. But it went downhill fast. She waited 2-3 hours for pain meds. They are very understaffed and the building has problems. Before we removed her from there, the food was almost always cheese based, which elderly people don't need. The staff was stressed and it had attitudes. I would never recommend this place. The place she's at now has weekly activities, and choices of food at every meal. AND she gets her pain meds in 3-5 minutes!

It is pleasant, and their rooms are very nice. They have an outdoor space (the room does), which we appreciate. The people or staff who assisted us were very helpful. My mom has only been there for around three weeks. It seems like they have activities. She likes the food, but I haven't tested it.

We chose it because my father-in-law is an Illinois resident, it was affordable, and it's a very nice place. The staff is very compassionate and knowledgeable. They definitely cared about their residents, and they were very helpful to my husband and me for getting things set up. My father-in-law was only there for twenty hours. It was very clean and modern, with everything he would need. He did have a deck. They were just starting to open up some of their activities. When we were moving in one day, they were playing bingo. I know they have bowling, and they have a barber/beautician on site. It's beautiful.

Our visit was a good experience. The rooms were very clean and nice but small. Everyone appeared friendly, but it was in the evening and there were not that many people around, so we didn’t really get to interact with anybody other than the sales rep. They had some activities for physical health and other activities to engage the residents. It was a smaller group, which allows them to be more attentive to their residents. The location was very good for all of us, but it didn’t fit the needs of our mother.

Out of all the assisted living facility's in the area. This is my favorite. The staff was so warm and friendly. Very clean and the food is wonderful. Definitely recommend to other friends and family.
