Reviews of Amie Marchini Mission Gardens

I visited this facility
The people at Amie Marchini Mission Gardens were friendly. It looked clean and looked like a nice place, but the clients there weren't talkative. It looked more of a nursing home. The room had just a bed or a dresser.
Mission Gardens is indeed a friendly, clean, comfortable community for seniors. With a capacity of 15, the rooms are on the smaller side, but the building is very nicely appointed and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The smaller size of our community allows us to provide more personalized, attentive care to our residents. Although we offer a wide variety of activities throughout the day, and mealtime is a pretty lively part of the day, our residents mostly prefer the quieter, more intimate and personalized environment we provide. Our motto is "All the comforts of home, plus much more." Our sister community -- Park Merced -- has 94 large studio apartments, all with private bathrooms, and several 1-bedroom apartments as well. Because of its size, Park Merced is able to offer an even wider variety of activities to appeal to both active residents and those who prefer a quieter lifestyle.

I am a friend or relative of resident
Words cannot express the quality of care shown my mother during her stay at Mission Gardens. The staff go over and above to provide a "homelike" atmosphere, while being respectful to each resident's individual needs. My family and mother felt "at home" the minute we came through the door. Thank you Amy and staff for providing an option for seniors and their families that is clearly superior to other more sterile environments. Merced is fortunate to have such a valuable resource for those we hold dear.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
Since my dad moved into Mission Gardens, he went from walking, to walking with a walker. He needs to be active, because his muscle atrophy is at such a quick pace. So he really needs physical activity. It's vital to his health.

I visited this facility
I visited the Mission Gardens Assisted Living facility in the August of 2012. I went their with my girlfriend to visit her grandmother. It was on a weekend so it was pretty busy with guests visiting family and such. The environment was warm and had a great atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and kind in how they treated the guests as well as the ones living there. Her grandmother expressed to us that she has a good time living in this facility. She said that the food is good that she gets. Also she has made many friends living here. She really likes her caregivers and has created special bonds with them. She said that the activities hosted their are fun as well, including arts and crafts time as well as music. I would recommend this facility to others, as in all, it is a very nice home. 5/5.
