I was very concerned about putting my mom in this nursing home. I was worried about her well being. The staff Has made my mom feel very comfortable being there. They assured me they would treat her as family. They keeps her room clean and let her think she's running things. The young lady that is in charge by the name of Ursler makes sure you and your love one is at ease. Loving person. They have lots of activities they can engage in. They take them out to eat. They entertain them with live singing and bands. The staff is very friendly.

My wife was a patient here for 3 weeks. Pros: The food is very good. Cons: The staff with the exception of Georgia (CNA) doesn't seem to care about the residents. Many times the staff would come in after about 30 minutes of pressing the nurse call light, turn the light out and say "I'll be right back", only to not return. There was one night on 2nd shift where there was not an RN or LPN on duty on the unit my wife was on. They were not able to dispense medications. The rooms are semi-private and I asked that my wife be moved due to the fact that her roommate was VERY loud. That never happened. Her phone was stolen and I reported it to both the nurse on duty and the social worker. There was never any follow up. I would not take another loved on there nor recommend it to anyone.

Toured the facility with my sister when we were looking for a place for my Father. Clean and friendly staff. We chose an eldercare home that was closer to where my sister lived, that was the only reason we did not choose Majestic.

My father was in this facility for several months as he suffered the last stages of Alzheimer's. Only one or two members of the staff showed any compassion at all, and most of the employees were rude and poorly trained. The staff doctor seemed to change every month and was nearly impossible to contact. My father was given the wrong medications, was fed inconsistently (awful food), suffered from bed sores and unexplained scratches and bruises. He tried to tell us he had been hit by one of the caregivers, but his diminished ability to speak prevented us from learning any details. He was clearly afraid of two of the caregivers. My father was rarely bathed. When we visited (almost daily) there were occasions we could tell he had been lying in wet or soiled clothes for hours. His clothing was stolen, and other items we were required to provide also disappeared. An orderly who no longer works there told us that some employees made a habit of stealing clothes and giving them to their own family members, or selling them at yard sales. Overall, the Overton Park Health Care Center made my Dad's finally days a complete hell. It was a blessing that he died; we'll never forget the horrific treatment he received in this place. I only wish our family had been able to afford good home care for him instead. Very, very sad.
