I visited this facility

We visited Victoria Landing. Everything there seemed nice, but they didn't have the level of care that my wife would need. She needs something that would help her do transfers and stuff, and they couldn't do that. The staff was very nice. The facility was clean and very bright. Everything seemed modern. They had a salon. It was right on the river. They had a beautiful view of the river.

I visited this facility

When you walked inside Victoria Landing, it was stunning. It was on the river and looked like a resort. It's clean and the people were very friendly. The bar area and the restaurant were gorgeous. The rooms were a little on the small side, especially the closet space. It was very minimal, but the common areas were beautifully appointed. There was some sort of Halloween event that they were doing when we were there. So, they had activities. They also had a salon, PT, and a theater. However, once you left the first floor, everything was older.

Victoria Landing was a very good community. It overlooked the river, and it was well kept. I saw the living quarters, the restaurant, the dining-room area, a place where you could work out, a beauty shop, and an outside pool. The only issue was their units were very small. The menu looked great, though.

I visited this facility

Victoria Landing was a high-rise building. It's pretty old, but it has been completely refurbished, and it's quite nice. They had lovely apartments. Almost all of them had balconies, and they had water views from every room. The public areas were large and quite nice, and they had a big swimming pool because they're right on the water, too, so you can dine outside when the weather is nice. They're conveniently located between two hospitals, and it's equidistant. The staff during the visit was very nice. The dining area was large, but you can still sit outside if you prefer. It seemed very informal as to when you eat. The food was excellent and generous. They're located in a small kind of downtown area. They had a beauty shop, and they will drive you to doctors' appointments, and that sort of thing. The balconies were wonderful. It's such a nice change, especially for them right now when people are locked in. They had a pub where people gather in the evening for happy hour. They had wonderful cooking demonstrations and they had kind of an auditorium for that. They had gathering areas as well.

Victoria Landing was very nice. They gave us a really nice tour. They had a really nice activities list, and the religion part was there. The dining room was very nice, and the views were beautiful because it's on the river. The activities seemed fun. The chef would give cooking demonstrations, and the people would do all the eating. The 1-bedroom apartments were nice. The one advantage that Victoria Landing has over the other facilities that are on the beachside is that they don't have to evacuate during a hurricane. The menu looked good.

I am/was a resident of this facility

We stayed in Victoria Landing for two months, and that was like a hotel. It had marvelous food, but I didn't like the people there, and we were not suited to live there. It's very fancy, very expensive, and it's like living in a hotel, there were many people, it's 12 stories, but with only two elevators, and that includes the freight elevator. I thought that was unsatisfactory, but they have lots of activities like chair yoga, or a veterans group. It was a pretty horrible experience. It was too rich for our blood, very expensive, and we couldn't keep up with that. I thought the people were snobby and snooty. The staff was abrupt and cold. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I visited this facility

Victoria Landing was fabulous. They showed me the entire place. The staff member who showed me around was fantastic. I met the senior nurse, and she's a five too. The residents were eating, and the menus were fabulous. The rooms were huge compared to the other places we visited in the area. The amenities were first-class and the cleanliness was fantastic. I thought everything was new looking and very high-class.

We had a really good tour at Victoria Landing. The staff member was very friendly, outgoing, kind, and very thorough. The apartments were very spacious, they have a 1-bedroom apartment, a 2-bedroom apartment, and studios. The hallways were wide and carpeted. They have little signs on the doors with emblems for whichever branch the resident is in since they have lots of people from the military. The library has a fireplace, they have a pool, and they have grounds where you can walk your dog. It's really lovely. There's also a beautiful lanai overlooking the river with tables and chairs, and you can eat your lunch there. They have a dining room that's like a bar. They assign the residents tables so they can get acquainted with other people. Everyone's lovely, and they speak to you when you pass them in the hall.

Victoria Landing was very nice. I enjoyed the visit. The staff was very nice, very accommodating, and very friendly. I also liked the place because of the view. It's over the water, which is very nice. If I have relatives in this area, I would have probably chosen Victoria Landing over the other community.

I visited this facility

The rooms at Victoria Landing were smaller than what I would want, but they were beautiful. It had everything that anyone could want. It had a library that’s pretty well stocked, a very nice swimming pool that overlooks the river, a community room, and a private dining room. The food was attractively served, and the dining room was lovely. The marketing people were mostly who I met, and they were very nice. It was a very nice place, and it sits on the water which was one of its biggest attractions. They had bingo and excursions to concerts around town.

I went to Victoria Landing. This place is gorgeous and right on the river. It’s a high-rise and high-end. It’s very nice. The lobby is like walking into a hotel even with a baby grand sitting in the lobby. It is really gorgeous. The room is very nice. The staff is very nice, very professional, and very caring. I would go there. They have a major outdoor space with a nice, wooden trail, so you can take your wheelchair and trek out on a trail on a walkway. It is really nice.

I visited this facility

My visit at Victoria Landing was very good. It was a beautiful place on the waterfront. The rooms were nice because it's a renovation of an older building. The staff seemed to be very good. The architect did a good job designing it, and they do a good job running it. The dining area was very nice. Really, the entire place was good. The only thing is they are very expensive, even their independent living. It's a very secure place because there's just one way in.

I visited this facility

Victoria Landing was extremely nice and borderline luxurious. It’s a 20-story high-rise on the banks of the Indian River in Melbourne. It was well-staffed and had a lot of amenities. The two-room, 500-square-foot unit was extremely nice and had a gorgeous view. They had a full staff of caregiver-type people and employed staff with nurses 24 hours a day. They had a couple of doctors on-call but not on-site. The dining room was great and looked out over the river. There was a nice kitchen that was staffed well. We saw the schedule of activities, which included a choir that meets once a week, tours of different local establishments, and walks up and down the riverbank.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We placed my mom-in-law at Victoria Landing. We chose this facility because its location is beautiful. It was less scary for her to move into because it's more like a senior living apartment style versus a hospital. The facility is gorgeous, and the price was right. She's only been in there a little over a month, and so far so good. We have no complaints at all. Because price was an issue for us, we got her a small room, and we were afraid because it was so small, but it turned out to be more than enough. We are very happy with her room. It has a lot of safety features. My husband and my son have eaten there, and they both said it was good.
