Juniper Village at Meadville is a beautiful place. It was a former hotel that had been refurbished. It has a beautiful entry. When you come in, it has a little cafe that residents can go to with visitors and have coffee, lemonade, or iced tea. It's like a little bistro that you go into. It has a very nice activity room that has TVs and sofas and chairs to visit with people. They have a beautiful front porch that is handicap accessible. It has ramps to get up on it and down off of it. The doors have push buttons to get in and out. And it was really nice to see people out on the front porch when we went there to look around. They were all friendly. The woman that we spoke with is the director, and she is very nice and very sweet. They also allow residents to go on day trips or go overnight to visit family if they're physically able to. They do have doctors that will come in and visit if needed. When we left, they gave us a small box of cookies, which my dad thought was really nice.

I toured Juniper Village at Meadville. It's a comfortable location and has a very friendly, homey atmosphere. From what we saw, it looked like the staff cared. We saw activities and got a copy of the schedule. It looked like they had different activities multiple times during the day. It looked like they tried to meet individual needs and likes. They have trips going out to different locations. They have a back patio sponsoring Happy hour and different socializing activities. I think they have exercise programs almost every day. The building is probably 70 years old, so overall it is a little bit dated. It's aging. It's not rundown, but it's an older building.

The rooms are a good size. Menu looks great-many choices. Staff I interacted with was polite and well informed. No unpleasant odors. Residents have many activities to choose from.

Excellent caring, friendly staff. The residents and staff are very welcoming and greet you with a smile making you feel at home. The staff goes out of their way to answer questions and are very accommodating. They even have a cat, Bella, that greets you and makes you smile. Very happy with our experience and highly recommend.

We went to Juniper Village at Meadville. The building itself was nice. It's a little dated, but it was extremely clean and well taken care of. The staff was extremely nice. They provide live band concerts. Downstairs, they have a bar area where they serve alcohol and nonalcoholic drinks. They have a theater area. The rooms that they offer were very neat and clean. Although they do not offer central air-conditioning, which I was disappointed with, they said that if you provided a window air-conditioning unit, they would install it for them. I think that should be part of the place, but at least they had the hallways that are air-conditioned. They had bingo, cards, and puzzles. They had different activities that they did every day. They also got together once a week and they would go out for dinner or breakfast. The menu was phenomenal. This place had the best menu I have seen out of three different ones I've looked at. They offered a wide variety. They offered different types of meals. If you didn't like what they were making that day, you could get something off of an alternative list. The meals were taken care of by a committee of the residents. Once a month, they got together and they decided if they were going to keep what they had or change it up and get something new on it. I was impressed with the meal situation at this place. This is my top pick that we're looking at to go with.

Juniper Village at Meadville would have been a good location for my mom because she lived most of her life in Crawford County. It's just that she wanted to have her own room and be able to even cook a little bit on her own. The lady I met, though, was very helpful and very knowledgeable, and the facilities were clean and seemed to be well thought out. They had places for different activities. It was a nice place. They had a salon and different activity rooms. The facility was actually the old David Mead Inn. It was kind of a historic place in Meadville. It's in a nice neighborhood and an older part of the town.
