My dad moved to this facility. They have the most loving, caring director. She is willing to help in any way possible. The cost here is very affordable compared to other places we looked at. The room are large and I loved the huge walk in closet. If you are looking for a safe place for your family, you should consider Bois D' arc community!

My friend has lived at 1017 Bois ‘D Arc Assisted Living for several years now. She selected it a year before moving in. We have both been happy with the day-to-day living and care. When she has needed preparation for tests or doctor appointments, the employees have been a dream to work with. Because it is a small facility, the staff has the time to keep friends and family included in all levels of care. This allows personal relationships to develop with the staff. After four years of first hand experience, I would choose 1017 for myself.

I had a relative live there and they were great. She had help when needed but was able to live in her own apartment and still have her independence. I really appreciated all of their hard work and time from the staff while taking care of my loved one.

Bois D'Arc is a wonderful community with dedicated, compassionate, caring and attentive staff. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. Home-cooked meals are nutritious and delicious. The size and decor of the facility makes it feel like home. And it's affordable!

Mum has been a resident at Bois D'Arc for over four years and it has worked out really well for us. Bois D'Arc offers many services but I will only comment on a couple. I trust the way they administer Mum's medicines; considering her health issues, this is important to me. In terms of social interactions there are a lot of things going on - such as: regular trips out for things like shopping and haircuts; special outings like the local playhouse or parades; birthday celebrations; family events (good food); regular weekly activities like bingo, music; prayer services; and people will come in to speak on subjects of interest. I am sure there are more. Mum really likes it when she receives a visit from one of the outside groups that come in just looking to boost the elderly community. The staff is super nice and caring; it makes me feel good knowing Mum is receiving assistance every day with many things large and small. Bois D'Arc definitely gets my highest recommendation.

My mom has been there 5 years, 5 wonderful years. We love this place, mom often says it my home. The staff are wonderful, they are family as well. If I can’t make it they will take mom to a doctor appointment or to the hair salon. The place is very clean, they serve great meals, I eat breakfast with my mom at least 2 times a week. They monitor moms medications and track al of her doctor appointments. This place has been a real lifesaver. We knew mom needed more supervision but she refused to go to a nursing home. She visited here and quickly decided this was a good place for her. Give it a try, you will be impressed.if you want an unbiased review, the staff can contact me and I will discuss the loving car my mom receives.

My father lived at Bois D’Arc for over three years. He was extremely happy there and enjoyed many of the activities and when he wanted solitude, he enjoyed his apartment with his computer, tv, and music. The staff was very helpful with dad and kept me aware of his needs. I feel quite blessed that we found this facility for dad.

I am the daughter of a resident. My mom has resided at Bois Darc for about 5 months. She has a two room suite with private bathroom which is more than she had in her previous residence. They do her laundry, provide 3 meals a day and there is an atmosphere more like a home here. The staff here is kind and the communication with family is pro-active. For us, mom's budget is a big concern and Bois Darc allows for all the things above at a great value. There is also a visitng physician which makes things much easier and they are terrific also. I do recommend you see if Bois Darc fits your personal situation.

Bois Darc Assisted Living Residence has been an absolute blessing to my family. My father has lived at Bois Darc over 2 years. The home environment is wonderful. He has his own apartment and is free to come and go as he pleases. The friendly family atmosphere is genuine. The employees keep him laughing representing both a caregiver and friendship attitude. Our family has peace of mind he is well cared for with just the right amount of monitoring needed. The facility is a beautiful maintained ranch style home, surrounded by big pecan trees. I personally recommend to my friends and clients when the time for change is needed for a loved one Bois D’Arc Assisted Living is a good transition in independent living. Sincerely, Dee Rodgers

My mom is really happy at 1017 Bois D'Arc Assisted Residence. It's a clean place and everybody there seems happy. Everything is great and couldn't be any better. It's also a lot better than where she was at. They get to go places and shopping. It's just a smaller community and everybody seems to know everybody. They have several activities that my mom seems to be happy with. The staff is great and are really good people. The food is good quality.

We found Bois D Arc after my Mother was at an assisted living home in Kyle Tx for 2 years. I had visited 4 homes in Austin Tx before choosing the Kyle home. We decided to move Mom to Lockhart to be close to family. When I visited the home and interacted/ interviewed the staff I knew immediately this would be her new home. The home is a cozy wonderful loved filled place to live. Carol, Essie and Christine treat my Mom like a Queen. Johnny and the kitchen staff cook up some fantastic food and they always offered Mom some ice cream after dinner. You have to try Johnny’s home made apple pie (mmmmm) the best. All and all Bois D Arc is the best home anyone can find. It’s like a first class B&B. The staff cares for its residents with respect and dignity and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is cared for and feels loved. I could never Thank all the staff and owners enough for providing such a wonderful environment for my Mom. I rate it a truly First Class Home and a top notch staff and would highly recommended it to anyone God Bless them for their care and concern of our loved ones.

At Bois D’Arc Assisted Living, we want you to feel at home. Each of the 16 suites has a sitting room, bedroom, and walk-in closet. They also each have a spacious, private bathroom featuring large, walk-in showers with safety rails. Our suites are designed with the comfort of our residents in mind.
Residents may personally furnish their own 400 square foot suite. With treasured mementos and favorite furniture, a resident’s suite becomes “home”. Cable, wireless internet capability, housekeeping, and valet laundry is provided to each resident.
Two large social gathering areas, a smaller private sitting room, a spacious deck and front sitting porch all provide plenty of communal areas for socializing amongst residents and with visitors. A grand piano holds a prominent spot close to the front door. Often you will find an imaginative activity, exercise, music and other group enriching leisure activities in progress. Décor throughout the house is in keeping with the feel of the original home's architecture.
Delicious and nutritious meals are hand-prepared daily with the special dietary concerns of the residents in mind and served “family style” in the dining room. Our Town Car service is available for local doctor appointments and other necessities.
