I have been a resident for 5 months. I live in a Villa. I have 2 bed rooms, a kitchen, a garage, a living room and a dining area. I use one bedroom for an office. I have a lot of books. Staff and residents are extremely friendly. I could prepare all my meals but I prefer to eat my evening meal in the formal dining room because I enjoy a great variety and eating with others. A large variety of activities at various levels of exercise from card playing to more formal exercise classes and a gym. On-site and off-site activities. Visit and check us out.

Villa St. Benedict was a wonderful place. It was very homely and they allow pets. One thing I really liked about it was looked like an apartment building where you can make friends. They had different layouts that you could look at, and they have excellent activities to keep you busy, from taking trips out somewhere to arts and bingo. They also have a bar, a restaurant style dining room, a gift shop, a beauty parlor, and an ice cream parlor. The staff was friendly and wanted to make sure your questions were answered and understood. If you needed to be shown somewhere, they would show you.

We toured Villa St. Benedict Benedale. We liked it. The overall experience was excellent. The staff was very confident, kind, and informative. The rooms were very nice. The location was excellent. The location, the property, the facility, the grounds, the surroundings, and the amenities were all A+. The dining area was very nice, no complaints. There is a church. There is a place to watch TV. There are places to walk and visit. All of those things were very desirable. The activities that they have seemed to be very good.

We toured Villa St. Benedict. They had independent where they had people who lived in townhomes or whatever, and then there was the main facility where it was senior care. And then I do know that they had a memory care facility. The upkeep was very nice. The facility overall was extremely nice. I think one thing that lured us to look at is my father is a Catholic and he likes to go to church every Sunday. And one of the benefits is that they have a chapel inside the building, so he never would have to leave the building to go to mass. They also had a nice social setting and a nice fireplace. They even had a bar. I think we had visited that facility on a Friday, and there were quite a few people out there drinking wine, laughing, and having fun. It looked like it was very social for people of that age. I remember they had a lot of amenities as far as being able to go to a barber or hairdresser. They also had a weight room and I think they had a mini bank in the facility. I know they had amenities that take your parent to a doctor or the store, and I know they had a lot of social activities off-campus as well if you wanted to participate. I'm sure that was an additional fee, though. They also had a nice banquet facility for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the food, based on what I saw on the menu, had a full spectrum from something very simple to something very elaborate. Overall, I like the facility. It was very clean and well kept. I remember the grounds were on a very large campus, so it allowed for walks outside. I know they had a garden area where I believe the chef would grow different types of vegetables or anything to help and assist in preparing a meal. They just had a lot of active activities as far as chess, checkers, and dancing. There was so much that I don't think you could go bored at that facility. He could have spent a week there, which I thought would have been good for him just to get a feel for it, but he never got to that point. I know he liked the facility. My dad's very social and he liked talking with the people in there, but he changed his mind as far as exploring or wanting to go down that path.

We looked at a lot of independent living communities and my father could not be happier with his decision to move to Villa St. Benedict. The staff is wonderful, the facility is beautiful and my father feels very safe and well cared for. He loves the restaurant quality meals and all of the other conveniences.

We were very impressed with the tour we got yesterday at Villa St. Benedict. We're happy with their At Your Service care services over and above that they have in independent living. We know that the unit would work for my mom and financially she qualifies for them. We're just waiting to see when she makes her decision. We did an in-person unit tour and they put us in a conference room with just my mom and I and did a virtual tour. They walked us through all of the amenities and the restaurants and things like that. We also did a virtual tour by Zoom two weeks ago. I took my mom to actually see the unit they have available with the floor plan that she's interested in. The room was very clean. I was impressed. It's very nice. She was very impressed. It's clean, comforting, warm, and had a very elegant feel when you walk through. I think her only hesitation is going from a very safe environment right now to a living center where people are in and out all the time, but that's a temporary thing. I think she would be happy if she knows that February 15th, they're all getting vaccinated then she would have no hesitation moving in March 1st. She was very pleased with the people she met. She met the RN who oversees the "At Your Service." I don't know if she's the director of nursing or she's just the director of that program. Mom felt very comfortable there. The very little part that we could see was very elegant. We arrived and met with the RN. They explained the Covid protocol while we go to the unit. We did that in the beginning and walked. While we're going in there, I saw staff enforcing the social distancing, wiping down the handrails and the steps, and then when we came out after doing the unit tour and after doing the video tour, I saw that same staff person again wiping down, which was probably an hour later. We were very impressed with that and their screening process. Everywhere we looked, somebody was wiping down the surface or standing 6 feet apart. We met the director of physical therapy, we met a couple of people in the marketing area, and they were just very friendly. We met the director of nursing and the salesperson, and they're very used to dealing with people of different levels of physical ability and different levels in their independence. They are only delivering meals right now, but we have heard tremendous reviews from people we know. My dad's cousin used to live there and they were always raving about the food quality. We discussed the food pricing, which was surprisingly affordable and we looked at their menu for what they had on their New Year's Eve celebration and what they were serving yesterday. They try to give as much of a dining experience, but we did not actually taste the food. It is absolutely beautiful, welcoming, and had gorgeous grounds. Transportation services to be able to see a doctor within 10 miles at no cost is included in the service fees for each month. All of the amenities and the accessibility to the amenities were well thought out, the way they have them and where they're located, and also that they offer both covered and outside parking. Their parking for visitors was kind of full. We just can't say anything better about the place. We really, really liked it.
