The Meadows of Leipsic was a pleasant place; however, I couldn't get in the bathroom, bedroom, or any other room besides the main room with my wheelchair, so I ruled that out totally. They showed me a one-bedroom. There were different kinds of patios, and one was an open patio that you can plant anything you want there. There's an outdoor space, so you don't feel like the apartments are right on top of you. If you can get around, that outdoor space would be wonderful. I got to see the cafeteria, and it seemed nice, although the meals cost more than what I would be fixing for myself at home. They had kitchens, so you can fix your own meals, and activity areas. I had an opportunity to meet one woman who didn't know what she was doing because the person that was supposed to be there wasn't there. The dishwasher and the dryer were not easy to get to, either. I would tell people to go there if they weren't confined to a wheelchair. It's a wonderful place.

The Meadows has a homey atmosphere and a small community. There are a lot of rural fields and a pond to look at, and it's a lot cheaper. The dining room is great. They had a happy hour on Friday afternoons where the residents family can come in and have snacks. The staff is very pleasant. They have different things going on, like church services, bible studies, and bingo. There’s one area that is so nicely decorated that the community comes in and uses it for weddings. It’s been a very pleasant experience so far.
