Elmcroft was a nice, well-maintained facility but just had rooms, not whole apartments. The only woman that we interacted with on the tour was very nice.

The staff is attentive and I think she is getting good care at Elmcroft of Lebanon. The only question on my head is that they seemed to be switching their focus more to cognitive care, as it used to be strictly a senior living community.
It is a beautiful building, when you walk in, you walk in to a lovely family room. It’s not a facility, it’s a home. They do have activities; they take them on bus outings, picnics where they cook hamburgers and hotdogs in a park somewhere. They take shopping, take them out for ice cream, they have different entertainers come in, they had a Father’s Day program but they need to improve on the food.

My father chose Elmcroft of Lebanon because it had private apartments/private baths at affordable rates. Everything he needed was included in the rent, even tranmsportation to Dr's appointments. He loved going to the Barber shop right outside his door, he attended summer concerts on the front lawn, the dining room was much like a restaurant with a menu (soup to dessert), he had veteran frineds to mingle with, and lots of programs and activities. He really looked forward to the weekly variety of trips out into the community. Most of all he told me after living at the community he felt like he was home, the kindness and caring of the staff was the reason he hoped he would never move. For me his daughter I was pleased to know the had LPN's and 4 Levelsd of care which meant he would be able to age in place (they allow Hospice) and hopefully not move to a Nursing Home.

I rated this facility a 4 because the staff were really nice and flexible with everything my uncle needed. They don't complain or talk back to anyone. They also understand a little for what my uncle is going through since they deal with people with disabilities everyday. My uncle has never complained about them and their services. He says that he feels 100% comfortable with being there as if he was at home. Also he says that the staff makes hime feel at home. My first time in the facility I agreed with my uncle right away he was right the staff makes you feel as if you are at home and not a person who is paying them to take care of my uncle. I am very happy that my uncle is in good care. It is worth every penny.

It was a beautiful facility. If I were to select a place, that's where what I would personally select for myself. I think that this is more prepared or just had a better location overall. The first impression as you're driving towards this Elmcroft place is your turning into an area where all these doctors are. You're driving through and then by cardiologists, dentists, orthopedic specialists, and it just goes on and on. My impression was " Wow, what a great place to be! " If I ever needed any doctors appointment or needed to go see a doctor it was right there! There was a hospital right there. It was surrounded with any kind of medical need. I wouldn't say it was an upscale area but that it was a more modern area. It looked liked it was a relatively new facility.
We walked up to the place and we were there unannounced, unprepared just showing up. Then someone came right up and got out of the desk and said "How can i help you?". Their friendliness was really the first impression that we had. What a wonderful thing to do. We were just showing up unannounced and these people were pulling out of their way to welcome us.
At that moment right off the lobby was a big room where a choir was practicing. It was a choir made up of the residents and it so happened that my mother-in-law was a former music teacher. She would have loved it there if it were nearer. This was probably another dozen miles away from us, so it would've taken us longer to visit her there.
The facility was gorgeous and wonderful! What was lacking there was some kind of a beauty facility. There was no accommodation for anyone to do their hair and my mother-in-law is used to having her hair done every single week.
What's also nice about Elmcroft is that they're focused on the food. They wanna make sure that the people are not just pleased but have a voice in the food preparation, taste and the variety they offer. So they had cookouts which was a real nice addition. It was a nice way to get people together in a different environment than the same old thing everyday.
