I visited this facility

We've toured Pheasant View Assisted Living. We're going to choose this place for my dad because they worked with us the most on his budget. It had like a home setting, with open areas, it had a big room and it was very clean. All of the staff that we met with, they were just super nice. We saw a pretty big-sized room. It will fit my dad's queen-sized bed, a good-sized nightstand table, his recliner and end table, and still plenty of room to walk around. It's got a huge walk-in closet with built-in shelves and drawers and then a really good size bathroom. There's also a mini-fridge that's waist-high, a little counter space, and two little cupboards for snacks. In the dining area, they've got the tables out in the open, they've also got couches and TVs out there. They've got snacks at all times, they've got soda machines, and they've got a cooler with juices and drinks that they can access 24-7. They serve three meals a day, and there's usually somebody there in the kitchen area if they wanted a sandwich or something outside of meal times. They also accept Medicaid. Jaycie is the director there and she is just awesome. The nurse came out to the hall and did the assessment on my dad. They were just awesome and patient with them.

The staff is very helpful at Pheasant View. My husband is in their memory care. They provide all three meals and snacks. The only thing I might say is, sometimes they have to be heated because they're cool. His room is very roomy. It has a large bathroom, large closet, plenty of room for his furniture, and a full-sized bed. They do different mind game things every afternoon as their activity. The security is pretty tight. They're taking good care of my husband. We've had one or two little problems at night, he's not sleeping, but nothing major.

We weren't very happy with Pheasant View Assisted Living. They were understaffed and short on CNAs. It seemed like there was somebody new every week and somebody was quitting every week. They can't keep employees that are very good. The rooms were very nice and were kept clean. The activities director was put in charge of having to clean rooms and clean toilets, and she took care of my dad really good. They had activities every day. They needed more cooks. There was only one cook for all the people and they tried to hire a second person, but they couldn't keep the staff they had. The food was just normal, and the dining area was good.

I visited this facility

Pheasant View was very small and limited to what they offer. Their main dining room was all-inclusive and used for everything. The rooms were OK. Other places had microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms, but this place didn't offer either of them. Nevertheless, they said if the family wanted to bring one in, they could. The room had a bathroom. They also had a spot for a microwave and a refrigerator but they didn't offer those as part of your rental. The staff who helped me was fine. However, they didn't know that I was coming even though I made a reservation.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I have been living in Pheasant View. It is a clean place and it doesn't smell like a hospital. The staff is wonderful. This place itself is nestled into a national neighborhood and it is not that far from shopping and things of that nature. The staff is very cooperative. You get laundry services, they take the trash out, and they clean the room for you. It is just very good service. I'm happy with it. I have a nice shower, big open closets with shelves, and a refrigerator. They also allowed me to bring my desk, computer, TV, and Xboxes, so it is just like living at home. I haven't participated in any of the activities, but they do have stretching exercises, book clubs, movies, church services, and music therapy. It has been great.

My mother is at Pheasant View Assisted Living right now. It's wonderful. The staff members are very attentive and taking really good care of her. The rooms are very nice and well cared for. They have church there. She has been getting home health care and physical therapy. She hasn't been participating in their fitness activities. It's very quiet and really hard to find, but it's very close to where I live. She likes the food most days. The facilities are excellent. They've been very responsive and good.

My mother is in Pheasant View Assisted Living. It is small with only 21 rooms. The staff seems very well educated and very friendly. The place is very clean. From where I and my brother live, it is easy to get to. My mother needs a lot of doctoring, and they transport her in their van to and from her medical appointments. She has television and a telephone line in her room that we can call her on and she can call us. They have a nice sitting room for the whole congregation and a dining room where they serve meals every day. It has a great big fireplace on one side and couches in a half circle around it. Her room has its own little freezer where she can keep a few snacks. She really likes it. She tells us every time we see her how much she likes it there.

Pheasant View is small, very nice, and it’s not very old at all -- probably 3 years old. The view is nice, the people are very caring, and they have a stable staff; it’s not so acute that every time you turned around it’s a different thing. They only have 21 rooms with a max of 21 residents and the food was really good. They have activities for them, but my mother was at such a point that I didn’t want anything that was too overwhelming for her with a much bigger place and a lot of things going on and different people all the time -- I didn’t think that would be a good thing for her. I think the room is very nice, with a nice bathroom and a very large closet.

This facility provides exceptional care by allowing my grandparents to live together, their room feels like an apartment not a facility, and most importantly, it does not smell like a regular assisted living. The patients are not ignored, their needs are met, and call lights are not constantly being rang without being answered.

Visited this facility

This is a brand new facility that I toured with my grandmother as she is starting to look for assisted living centers. It has a great floor plan and looks very welcoming and inviting. There are a few people living there already and we asked one woman what she thinks of the facility. She said it is quite nice as they do have delicious meals and a lot of activities. One of the things that grandma was interested in is that they actually teach language courses and really promote education and learning. They do daily craft projects along with other fun activities like Bingo and they have a large room where they show movies and even teach people how to play the Wii! It definitely looks like a lot of fun for the people that do live there as they have a lot of independence. Since it is newer it hard to judge how credible the staff will be as they are all very welcoming and friendly now since they do not have too many patients to work with.
