Apple Tree Assisted Living was a little dated. The facility was OK. It's good and the people that we met seemed professional. Everything seems to be done well there. I was sufficiently impressed by them. It seemed clean. It's just that the residents they have needed more care probably than what we were looking for at the time.

Apple Tree Assisted Living was really bright and light inside, all the live plants were beautiful. They have a koi pond and a turtle pond, they're really nice. The kitchen area, the dining room, and the menus were incredible, and I liked that about them. The rooms were beautiful. Their studio rooms were easily accessible, they were bright, they're spacious and comfortable to be in. They have a gym, they have a nice community room where they have different classes and outings that they can do, and they have a bathing center with walk-in tubs that are available for the residents to use. The residents that we met were all super friendly, they made a point of introducing themselves and telling us how happy my mother-in-law would be there. All the rooms that we went into were kept super clean. The suite that we had looked at had just been freshly painted and laminate flooring had been put in nice and clean. The bathrooms are big, spacious, and well-maintained.

My friend took me to see Apple Tree Assisted Living. It was nice, but I couldn't afford it. It was way over my pay grade. It was absolutely beautiful and it was actually what I've been looking for because I want to interact with people and not just go into a room. It was very, very nice and I liked that they had different-sized apartments. If you wanted something bigger, they had that too and it's priced accordingly. I liked what I saw. The place was beautiful and meticulously done. The staff who assisted us in the tour yesterday was excellent. I know that when you're accepted when you move in, you bring in your own furniture. You have the choice of 3 different apartment sizes. You can get a studio, a medium, or a large one. They don't have a salon but I think they have somebody who comes in to get those things done if the residents need them. We saw the big hall which was beautiful. It was like their community room and it had everything including a fireplace. We saw where they had lunch too, which was very nice. I think they give you breakfast, lunch, and dinner which is amazing.

Apple Tree Assisted Living was good. It was a great building. The people were very nice and friendly. I didn't go there because it's further away from me, and I wanted my mom to be closer. The staff members answered all my questions, and they were helpful. They offer a lot of activities and fun things as well.

We were able to tour Apple Tree Assisted Living, and we liked it very much. We were very pleased with it. The people were very nice. It was clean. It smelled good. It was well taken care of, and it was very pleasing to the eye. It was beautiful inside with the plants and the little pond. They're also very, very kind and very accommodating to us. I love the area. They have it where they only have one entrance, but they have the rooms separated; it was great. The rooms were spacious and nice. The bathrooms seemed safe. They're just mostly clean. Everybody we talked to and the people that live there seemed happy. There was a TV room, and there were a couple of people watching TV. The staff also said they have activities once a week.

We had a visit at Apple Tree Assisted Living. It was a good impression. It looked nice and clean. We liked it. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We walked the hallways, and they showed us a couple of rooms. They also showed us the dining area and the activity room. Outside there was a patio. They told us they have games in the hallways and puzzles for the people to sit down and work on. It was a nice facility. It was one of the nice ones that we've visited.

I liked Apple Tree Assisted Living very much. It's really good. It's just very friendly. The staff is really nice and knowledgeable. They have an exercise room and a walking path, and it's more homey. I think we will be able to get my mother in Apple Tree in another two months.

We enjoyed our visit to Apple Tree. They're locked down right now, but they let us in, had us go wash our hands, and then they took us on a tour. It looked like it was on one level, and there were different branches of the tree. There's a hall that's the yellow apple and another one that's the green apple. There were lots of walking places for Mom to do indoor walking, which she likes to do. They had interactive things. There was a pond that had koi fish, and in another section there were birds. They showed us their laundry facilities, their cafeteria, and the rooms. They went over their COVID protocol, what they do, and what we would do. We would take her to the doctor and continue her appointments. They said things could be worked out so that they would do that if it came a point where we couldn't, but right now we're in Kaysville, so it's easy enough to pick her up and take her to her appointments. They were good to talk to and easy to work with. We looked at a two-bedroom apartment. They've connected two bedrooms together, so there were two bathrooms. One room was used as a bedroom and the other one was used as a living area. That one was a little more expensive, but it was nice. There were also some studios that were quite large, had a big nice bathroom attached to them, a closet, and a big room. We were impressed with both of them. The staff member was great and answered all our questions.

My mother is at Apple Tree Assisted Living. The atmosphere is good and the staff is good, but the food is lousy. The rooms are fine. They see movies, they get together and sing, it's clean and organized. It's the best that I could find.

Apple Tree was clean, but it seemed a little old. However, we have an issue with their food. My mom is very picky. Their food would not work for her. However, the person who accommodated us was good; she was nice. The room was decent but a little bit dated. They have activities for the residents to do.

I did not like Apple Tree at all. The rooms were very small. Their dining room was restaurant-style. The place was beautiful because it had lots of trees, but there was a resident there who kept motioning us to come over, and the lady I was with was ignoring him. There was peeling paint and the place was very old. The staff though was very nice.

Provider Response

Hello Caroline, Thank you for taking the time and visiting our facility. We take pride in making sure everyone's experience is pleasant and informative. We do have larger rooms and I hope you were shown those. I would like to see if you would like to come and re-tour and I can go over the improvements that we are currently making. We just installed new carpet throughout the facility and we are also in the process of painting. Thank you for acknowledging our friendly staff. They are great people who really care and love there jobs.

I visited Apple Tree. The people who stayed there really liked it. The director was very nice, but the rooms seemed outdated and in need of new carpet, so they're not really nice. They were redoing the flooring in the dining area. They had transportation and went on outings.

Provider Response

Hi Gay-thanks for visiting Apple Tree! We wanted to let you know that we are replacing carpeting in the entire building at Apple Tree, and are very excited to make a wonderful, updated place for our residents. Please come visit again, as we are changing paint, carpet, exterior siding and window coverings, roof, front desk, and many other projects. It will be such fun! Come back and see the changes soon.

Apple Tree Assisted Living looks fantastic, and the price is extremely reasonable. They only have the lower level of care and my husband needs memory care. The staff who gave me the tour is terrific, friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. I was just impressed as to how they seem to care, and how they love their job. They have a large garden area with troical plants which gives the place a beautiful, natural feel. It’s very clean. The whole place feels nice, and comfortable.

Apple Tree is really nice. It was clean, and the staff is very nice. The care is great. The people who are in there seem very happy. We actually have a singing group that performs there quite regularly so we are very familiar with that facility. The people have a good a rapport with one another. They seem very happy, well taken care of, and seem to enjoy what they have going on there. They have good rooms. There are three different sizes of room availability. It is bright and has nice white halls. It is very nice, and I'm very pleased with it.

We had a positive experience at Apple Tree. They respected my father's privacy if he does not want to join in an activity, but they were glad to help him if there was something that he was interested in. They tried to make sure they did something that he would like. It was very clean, the food was wonderful, and the facilities were nice. The staff was fantastic; they were very friendly.

When I first walked in Apple Tree, it was very clean. There were lots of open air and sunlight coming in. They had a vacancy at that time so we decided to move one of my parents there. This facility far exceeds my expectations. Their rooms are very nice and of good size. They have windows in their rooms. They have a very caring staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Friend or relative of resident

My grandfather moved into this facility shortly after grandmother died because he did not want to live at home alone anymore. This was an excellent facility for him as he was still independent and could drive. They had several different floor plans to choose from and so he chose one that was larger in order to have room for family to come and visit and to bring his couch and other furniture from home. This really helped to make the assisted living center feel like his home. We loved coming to visit, the staff was really nice and the facility wasn't really large, so it was easy to find his room. They helped grandpa with daily things like getting ready and making sure he was eating and taking his medicine. It was nice knowing that the staff was there around the clock and they really did a great job making the transition easy for everyone. Grandpa loved having his own room with a private entrance, this really made it feel much more like a real apartment to him and he really loved having guest to entertain at his new house. The nursing staff was really great about informing the family about upcoming activities and events so we could even come and participate in them with grandpa.
