Oak Manor Senior Living Community was a really good facility that I would recommend. My grandmother was there for rehab. The food was decent. The staff was pretty good, but there was one staff member that I almost wrote a complaint about because he snapped at me, and it was inappropriate. They had some running water issues sometimes, and then the bathroom was a little bit dirtier than where she is now.

Oak Manor Senior Living Community is my number one choice. I'm very pleased. I liked so many things. I liked that it's a villa, that it's not in a building (the ones I looked at). The staff during the tour and the other people that I met were outstanding, very knowledgeable, and courteous. We didn't try the food, but I got some passes, and we're invited back any time. We toured the entire facility. There was an exercise session going on, and we saw the areas where they do the activities, like the billiard room, library, and things like that.

Oak Manor had all the features my wife and I were looking for. With two cats in the family we needed a pet friendly home. Oak Manor is a small facility about 60 residents in the the independent units. The staff seemed very friendly. We were looking for a first floor unit which they have. Did not eat there but did review the menu. Currently we are on the waiting list for a unit there.

Oak Manor Senior Living Community was quite spread out, and it just wasn't for me. The staff who gave me the tour was great. I ate there, and it was very good and presented very well. The dining area looked very nice. Their outdoor spaces looked very nice and very secluded.

We went to look at Oak Manor Senior Living Community and we really liked it. They had villas there, which we liked. They were little separate houses, so it's like having your own house. The person who gave the tour was very nice and informative, and she showed us inside the big buildings. They have these little carts that come around every half hour. They pick you up and take you where you want to go. They will take you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner up at the main place where they have the food. They showed us a two-bedroom and two-bath villa, which was very nice. But it's a little higher than what we wanted to pay. The atmosphere of the place was nice. They have different activities, they take you places, they have games and music. I saw residents just sitting around and talking.

We spent an hour at Oak Manor Senior Living Community touring it. It was good. They did a great job explaining the options we had. They told us information that I didn't know about that will help me decide when I want to go or what the next step is. They got me in touch with somebody that will help me navigate the process of getting in when I'm ready. It's a nice facility, and it's in a nice location. It was well kept up and clean. They seem to have a lot of activities to keep the residents busy. It's probably one of the best facilities that I toured. The staff were helpful, too.

I was in this facility 21 days in November 2022. If I could Of would give this home a 10 plus. I went there for rehabilitation after having total knee replacement on October 27. I was in a semi private room two nights but they had a private room and they got me into the private room within the two days. The room is very large very private It has a real large TV in it and the window was right there It was beautiful It's a beautiful room. The staff all of them not one of them I didn't find that wasn't always in a positive happy mood. They come to you as soon as you put your bell on to make the light come on. They give you fresh ice water all the time without you even having to ask for it. They have a menu that you fill out after the dietitian manager brings you and you mark what you want It's great food too. The physical therapy there couldn't have been better. They take you to physical therapy everyday and even on the weekends they have it The staff is very knowledgeable and very kind and they do a wonderful job I can't say one thing negative about this home. Mike the nurse I had quite often he was wonderful He came and was very concerned all the time All of them were wonderful really So if you have to go to a rehab a highly suggest you pick this one if your insurance covers it. If I ever have to go back to a rehab again it would surely be this one.

I went to Oak Manor Senior Living Community. It's beautiful, it's just that we couldn't afford it. The staff was very helpful and very nice. The rooms were very nice, and she would have to live there with somebody, and because it was an end unit, there was a screened-in porch which was nice. It's a huge place and there are all kinds of things to do. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the unit. Sarah was awesome. They had a nice dining area, it was pretty, and it was restaurant-type. They don't have a pool, but they can get a ride to go to a pool, grocery shopping, or whatever.

I have seen the Oak Manor Senior Living Community, and I was impressed with how big the place was. I was also impressed with the units, which reminded me of condos. So my brother will get a lot of privacy there. And they have so many activities going on, it was unbelievable. They had puzzles, a pool table, and somebody singing in the activities lounge. The cafeteria is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was amazing, these people were really informative. I was really impressed with that place.

I went to look at the Oak Manor Senior Living Community. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. There was no activity going on, and the cafeteria was closed. The dining room facility was cold. I don't know if they turn the heat on, but I think it's too cold for older people. I was cold, and I said something about that. The facility was clean but old. The grounds were nice. It was kind of set in with mature trees. It was smaller buildings, not towers, which I like. The lady that took me around was nice and seemed genuinely concerned.

My tour at Oak Manor Senior Living Community was very good. They were very pleasant and provided a lot of information. I like their setup there in terms of their little villas, and there are little gardens outside. It's very well set up and very well managed. It's much bigger than I anticipated. Their services cover all your facilities. They even have a phone line that you could use if you want to have a landline in. Then for an upgrade, you get three meals a day, and for another upgrade, you get three meals a day plus laundry and housekeeping. Their location is good. For me, it's a little far out because I prefer St. Petersburg, but if you like the outside area, it would probably be an excellent location. Because the grounds are very nice and it's close to some things that you'd want to go to. Plus, they provided transportation for medical appointments and things like that.

My wife's cousin went from the hospital to rehab at Oak Manor Senior Living Community. It looks like she's gonna stay in this place. She'll be in rehab probably for about 60 days, then she'll go into assisted living. The ratings that I saw from other sites were high. I've only dealt with people in the administrative office. I haven't dealt with people inside because right now everybody is closed off. Everybody is on COVID alert. The staff is good and very helpful. She likes the food. It's kind of hard now with COVID that nobody is running full activities. I think they're concerned about spreading Covid and that's their #1 priority right now. They put the activities on the back burner a little bit to protect the residents. The amenities are very good. It's a nice area. We've only been a little bit inside. We've been outside a lot and it's a nice environment. If somebody could walk around, you could walk around in nature. It is very nice, but there's a lot of restrictions. My cousin has never complained about cleanliness. There are three hospitals in the area and there are restaurants and coffee shops around there.

Oak Manor was OK. My stepmom happens to be in the independent part of it, and then I saw the assisted living part of it. The people that I dealt with were very pleasant. The grounds they're on are absolutely gorgeous, but if you're allergic to oak trees, then you're gonna be in trouble. They're in the process of remodeling. The rooms were definitely outdated. The bathroom was nice, but it had a walk-in tub, so that was a definite no for me. The room that they showed me had its own little kitchen, no stove, but it was nice. The closet was nice-sized, and the bathroom was decent-sized. The thing that detoured me from Oak Manor was basically the bathing area. Everything was clean, but you could definitely tell which were the areas that had been renovated and the areas that were going to be renovated. They're definitely outdated, but the floors were clean, and there wasn't any trash anywhere. It's just old color paint and it needed a new look, which they are in the process of doing. They have a lot of activities going on.

Oak Manor Senior Living Community was kind of old and run down. I'm sure it was beautiful in its day. It had large grounds, but you had to walk to the dining room to get your meals. I know they have golf carts that you could call, but it wasn't under one roof. The woman who showed us around was very nice, but it seemed like a lot of the residents were in wheelchairs and walkers -- more than the other place we toured. They did not offer any food. They have a library, as well.

I'm at Oak Manor. I chose it because of proximity to family, it's clean, and everyone's very, very nice. I wanted a studio apartment and they have them. They have three full meals a day and a shower. The staff has all been lovely. I can't say enough about the staff. The dining area is fine, and the food is average. If you don't like what's on the menu, there's a few items you can choose otherwise. There's happy hour, bingo, exercises, games, all the basics, cards, little things you can get on your own like coloring books, crayons, pencils, and other fun activities. I'm getting used to it. I've only been here a short time, and I like it. I've been happy so far.

We are going to be moving to Oak Manor in Largo. My parents also live there, so I was able to visit the place many times. It's a nice place, it's very clean, and they're very helpful to my parents. The staff is very professional and they're very willing to work with you. They're excellent. I just think the place needs to be a little more updated.

My wife is in Oak Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She's receiving therapy. My wife seems to think it's fine, she doesn't have any qualms with it, but she doesn't really know where she is because, her dementia is so bad. She thinks she's at a hotel. The staff seems to be fine, and my dealings with them have been fine. They had a problem where they were short staffed, and it was a little difficult for a while there. Additionally they had quite a few cases of COVID. It looks fine though. The facility and room look fine.

I can't say enough about Oak Manor; they're fantastic. They have been wonderful with my mother and they're very accommodating. My mom has been back and forth between the hospital three times, so they take care of her cat for her. They're just amazing people. I love the facilities, the food and the dining room are excellent, and the people are excellent, including the nurses and CNAs. Sheryl the marketing person has just been amazing since the first time I met her. It's just been a great experience. None of the other places met the requirements that Oak Manor did. I though it was old, but it's exactly what my mother wanted, and she's very happy there. They have activities like bridge and bingo, although my mother hasn't had the chance to participate in a lot yet. She's living in a villa there. The food is excellent, they even have a filet mignon entree, and you can have it every day if you want. I looked at ten other places before I picked this one for my mother, and I'd say that in terms of value she's definitely getting the right bang for her buck. The place is definitely more than what we thought it was in the beginning. They have several activities rooms, they have their own rehab, and their own nursing home as well. Mom has been back and forth into the rehab and she has always has a private room, which is always clean. I see a lot of people in the activity rooms doing things.

I looked at Oak Manor, which I like very much. It's more economical, and it still has everything I want. I didn’t have too much interaction with the staff members, but when I ate there, the food was good, and the servers were good. The ativities were as good as the other places; they're adequate. I'm moving into Oak Manor because it is a better value and the location is OK. It is not convenient to stores, but it is not far from restaurants.

I visited this facility

We didn't like Oak Manor at all. It seemed dirty, musty, and dark. The facilities were more like apartments that were in a separate building, so if you wanted to participate in activities, or if you wanted to have your dinners or anything like that, you have to leave your building and be able to get to the other building. If it's raining or you have difficulty getting around or something like that, that makes it more difficult. It wasn't really what we were looking for. We wanted something all under one roof. For some people, it might be good. There was no sitting area. People had to take their walkers or their wheelchairs and literally sit in the parking lot if they wanted to have an outside place to sit. There was no courtyard, no nice benches, nothing. The staff member was OK. They showed us the place. The rooms were very small and the living room was like a tiny box. You probably would have to switch out and make your bedroom the living room so you'd have room for a dresser and a bed. We did not care for it at all.

Oak Manor was very homey and had very interactive and awesome staff. They knew everybody and made people feel comfortable. It was a very homey situation for everyone. They served two meals and had a very extensive menu. If it's raining, they take you off on a golf cart. The staff was better than in any place else that I saw. If you're from independent and will transition to assisted living, you can stay in your same apartment and you don't have to move. I saw a one-bedroom, which was small but more than adequate for someone elderly who's not really cooking full meals. It had a decent-sized bedroom and living room, a small kitchen, and a nicely setup bathroom with handrails. In case somebody is handicapped, getting in and out of the shower will be easy for them. They had housekeeping, a beauty parlor on the premises, shopping, picnic, and outside activities in which buses will take them. They also had villas there.

Oak Manor was lovely. They had a dining facility that was like a restaurant. It's open from morning to evening, and you can eat whenever or whatever you want. You get 2 meals a day on your plan. They've got a menu with prices on it, so you can eat a third meal. They had a very lovely dining room with tablecloths, and the staff that wait tables were very nice. There were villas, which were all ground quads with their own level porch and their own entrance right out into the yard, and you can park right in front of your villa. However, these were quite old and need upgrading. Everybody seemed happy and knows each other. It's big, ground wise. You could be there coming as an independent until you needed total care. It's a very caring and nice facility.

My father is presently at this facility and I am more than pleased. Yes you can be awed by the beautiful grounds by the menu that is like a full restaurant then the apartments which are lovely and kept clean but it is the care everyone walks around saying good morning hello how are you I have direct phone numbers to nurses and to the med techs who go into his room 3 times a day I am very pleased and cannot ask for anything more. My father had a little fall with no injuries they called me immediately when it happened to ensure although he didn't want to go to the hospital and although there was no injuries did I feel like he should go as a precaution of course I did not but to get that phone call and that sense of relief I have no worries. Highly recommended

They seem to try and do a decent job. The staff is friendly. However I do have a few issues with the facilty. In an emergency issue that my relative had I felt that the response time time was not quick enough. Due to this I ended up calling 911 rather than wait. In addition, There was an instance of the maid service being delayed by more than a day. Initially the maid had told my relative that she apoligized for not being there, and would be there first thing the following morning. Around 9:30am we followed up with the welcome office who were not friendly at all. At 10:30am we found another staff member who had checked in with the maid and said she would visit the villa at 11:05am. At 11:30am I noticed the maid whom I recognized and followed up with her and she said that she would be there if appeared she may have been on her break. At 11:45am I noticed her grabbing a ride on a cart to somewhere else, My relative had an appointment that we went to around then. Though, by the time we got back the room was clean. Through all of this there was a bit of stress, which could have been avoided. My rating is more about the two events I described. The staff is most certainly friendly.

Mother has been in Oak Manor for three or four weeks. She is now in a S=suite room but will be moving to a villa as soon as it is available. It has a screened porch. We're very pleased with the facility, and she's happy there. There are concerts, bingo, cards, movies, and all sorts of things going on. The food is very good. The staff is wonderful, and I haven't found anybody that is not helpful or smiling.

Oak Manor was nice with skilled nursing center and apartments. It’s almost like 1 floor, you could get outside not just look out the window. There were lots of trees, and it's not just looking at a parking lot from your window. The lady who showed me the place was very friendly. It’s right next door to the church where my mom used to go. They know a lot of people my mom knew. It’s very homey, and for her it would have been nice. The rooms were nice and average sized. The dining area looked clean, and the people seemed to be having a good time with the people sitting in at the table.

My husband was a patient for 2 wks. and received excellent care. PM nurse Andy was 100% , as was his CNA both DAY and PM. Diana Lee and Dan in PT brought the best out of him with patience and encouragement. The facility was very clean. Staff were all friendly and eager to help. I will highly recommend Oak Manor, having worked in the healthcare community for over 25 yrs they are tops.

We looked at Oak Manor, and I liked it. They offered three meals, which you can eat anytime. There wasn't like a fixed time that you should eat, and they had a full menu. It was very nice, and the people were very nice. Unfortunately, my mother did not like the colors, and she did not like the fact that they had flat roofs. They offer to go to the grocery store three times a week and to the different stores. My mother likes to go to the symphony, and they didn't have anything like that. They offered the normal Bingo and things like that, and my mother is not really interested much in that. I would have liked her to stay there because they were very nice, and the food was really good.

My grandmother moved in shortly after my grandfather passed away. At 84, she was not very social and felt isolated in her home because all of the friends she had in the neighborhood has passed away (and younger people were moving in). We chose Oak Manor because the staff was very helpful, the activities were diverse and it didn't look or feel like an institution. Tons of oak trees and feels like a neighborhood because its on acreage with apartments and villas/condos. My uncle jokes that Gram should work in the marketing department. She LOVES it. She has made a few friends, plays bingo, pinochle and raves about the food.

Oak Manor is very well-maintained. The staff goes way overboard to accommodate people, and we have one of the best social workers and administrators that you could have. Most dining rooms are open at certain times, and this one is open from 7 to 7 and they serve two entrees. If you do not like the entrees, you have a menu that you could choose from. The food is very good. I really do not have anything bad at all to say about it. I live in one of the villas, and our villa is very spacious. It has a full-sized kitchen, a living room and dining room combined, and a huge bedroom. They have a very good call system that you have to check in by 10:00 every morning, or they automatically either call you or come to the door. Usually they have bingo, shuffleboard, and pokeno. They have lots of outings; sometimes they go to the beach, sometimes on shopping trips to the mall, and sometimes they have casino trips. They have trivia, and they have a very good exercise class.

I think that safety is an issue at this facility. i saw an alcoholic and a couple dementia patients in the dining area. Save the appearances: price lower but not all-inclusive also. I could never have dad stay in Oak Manor. Adult children have many things to consider when placement becomes necessary but SAFETY is the first concern.

Oak Manor Senior Community seemed like a nice place. I have visited my mother there a couple of times. I think the rooms are very nice. The only thing is, I know she is getting dementia, and I don't know if I could get her a little fridge or not so she could have some cold drinks or water. I know she can't cook anymore, but just something like yogurt even though she has three meals a day. That is the only thing I am concerned about. They just seem like a nice community. They have their own keys to lock themselves in and out, like at their homes, and they have a key to get in. Nobody is walking in and out of their rooms; I like that. The place is very clean; they do a very good job. The only thing that I have an issue with is she needs incontinence pads and it seems like she can't get them. I don't know why. But they seem like nice people, pretty much.

The assisted living of Oak Manor (Largo, FL) was only a two floor, so there wouldn't be too many problems with the elevator. They have separate villas also for assisted living, and then they have independent living, skilled nursing, and memory care. My father is diagnosed with Alzheimer's and eventually he will need memory care, so we were looking out for that. Plus, it had a very woodsy look to it, something that my parents would enjoy. Actually, one of their friends already moved there and they are really happy where they are now. Quiet and woodsy were my first impressions of the facility. It was a separate community, yet close to shopping and there was a hospital a few blocks from there. It just seemed like a very calm and serene place that would be great for the seniors. The staff was very helpful. The few that we saw that day and interacted with seemed to be very helpful.

Oak Manor is a very nice assisted living facility. They make the the people living there feel welcomed and free. MY grandfather lives there and he is free to do what ever he wants. They don't harass him and they are always just a push of a button away. They have a fairly nice restaurant there that I eat at when I visit him. Just outside there is a shuffle board court. The entire place is very well shaded, and there is trees and plant life everywhere. Its very well maintained. The staff is generally very nice and answers any question you may have. The housing is very large for a good price. There is a lake full of fish with a river near by. Over all I found it to be a wonderful place to visit and my grandfather loves it there. My only complaint would have to be that its kind of close to the main road so i can be noisy at times. Its also a few miles away from the nearest grocery store so its hard for my grandfather to get there. There is transportation options but the busing could be better.

This community has the friendliest, most courteous staff I have ever encountered in an assisted-living/senior/rehabilitation community. They are extremely attentive and go out of the way to make sure the residents are happy and taken care of. They take extra time to sit with residents and check-in to see how they are feeling and what they can do to help. The grounds are also kept up well. There is always some watering the lawn and patrolling the property to pick up any trash. The inside is always very clean and smells fresh. There has never been a time that it looks unkempt or unclean. They have state of the art facilities and try to keep everything such as pool tables and books in the recreation room, and video game systems with flat screen televisions, up to date and working properly. The kitchen always serves high quality, delicious food. The food is always fresh and prepared when ordered instead of being served cafeteria-style.
