I am a friend or relative of a resident
The Homestead was originally a Spanish-style private home. When the owners tried to find a facility for their elderly mother, they were horrified at what was available in assisted living. They converted the property, having several one-level, one BR or two BR, cottages, as well as converting the house into a one- and two-story assisted living facility. The apartments were spacious and well-maintained, as were the grounds. Meals three times per day were provided. In the cottages, you could cook if you preferred (or go to The Big House dining room), but in The Big House residents were expected to come to the well-appointed dining room, unless ill, in which case meals were delivered. Meals were excellent and special needs were met with ease. There were two three patios surrounding The Big House. They had a large game room, provided religious services on Sundays, had bingo three times a week, as well as performances from local artists from time-to-time. They also allowed residents to bring their animals with them.Nursing staff was always kind and helpful. We had no concerns whatever with our elderly mother residing there. We visited several times a week.

My dear Mother in law is a new resident there and She LOVES IT ...she was so lonely in her independant living apt. Cried all the time ...she is 89 , has alittle dementia but love all the activities, the food is great .. and it is centrally located for her friends to visit . God helped us find her a great palce small // like 36 beds/ but home away from home ... Praise be to God .
