The Addison of Knightdale was nice, and the people seemed nice. The dining facilities were pristine. They offered a couple of different bedroom floor plans, and they were all really nice. They had lots of activities available, and they had a nice walking area outside. The staff who assisted me with the tour was extremely nice and helpful.

If your family member can do for themselves then it’s okay, if not they are in trouble. Mrs. Hedi has a broken hip because staff keep her call bell out of reach because she used it to much asking for help. Even upper management would put it out of her reach. The longer the buzzer goes off, it looks bad to corporate. Please make unannounced visits before you put your love ones there.

If you care at all about your loved one keep them out of this place. They are so careless that they accidently lock residents outside. They make mistakes with prescriptions that can kill people then make excuses. The place is dirty and unsanitary. They use a mop for all the rooms then use the same mop to clean residents showers. They left poop on my parents shower curtain for weeks after a parent had an accident. Numerous residents told me they don't get showers. The medical staff has to serve meals and if a patient needs meds they are forced to wait. But the worst is the lies. If your parents complains they will try to convince you that they are just old and don't know. We had at least four staff members out right lie. Run, take your parent far away!

Carillon Assisted Living looked like other places I’ve seen in the past. There were not a lot of people running around the hall unsupervised. It looked clean and well-staffed. The food facility looked nicer than other places I’ve seen. The pricing was a bit higher than what I needed for my mother-in-law. The staff was very professional and well spoken. They seemed educated on their product and on what people needed and answered questions that I had. The rooms were clean and fine.

My parent is in Carillon Assisted Living. I think the staff drew us in while we are touring because the residents were laughing and having a good time. It seems like a good atmosphere because everybody seems happy. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. They have all kinds of activities like bingo, going out to eat, and just doing a little bit of everything. I will absolutely recommend it to others. The staff, including the director, is just wonderful. It has a family environment.

We chose Carillon's memory unit for my mom. The facility is less than 3 years old. It's close to downtown. It's a beautiful place with a beautiful landscape of English-type houses or big beach houses with a southern feel. Mom is in a semi-private room equipped with cable, English-type furnishings and she also has a private bathroom. The food is great too. The overall service is great. Mom has dementia but she's more tamed and at ease there than where she previously was. However, I wish the staff was more consistent. The same people work there but they work in different units. Some work in the memory unit 2 times out of the week.

My Mother in Law has been in this facility for about 3 months. I was very apprehensive about putting her in an ALzeheimers unit, however I am very pleased. She at first asked for us to take her home (which she even asked us while she was living with us), however in about two weeks she was so busy with activities that now she stopped asking us to take her home. I go to visit and she is all smiles, even doing her little "dance". She really cannot remember what is happening from 1 minute to the next. She has got a wonderful personality and is very well taken care of by the staff. The staff is always hugging and smooth talking the residents. I recommend them highly.
