My mom is in Royal Columbian Retirement Inn. We choose the facility because of the way it is arranged. It has as central core and because it is hard for her to walk and the doctor did not want her in a wheelchair to keep the blood flowing, she is located close to the central core. When you go down the elevator, to the right is the dining room, to the left is the activity from and in front is the living room and a little to the left is the family room. Upstairs is the hair shop and next to the elevator is the library. So, everything is a central core and it is really nice for her not to walk so far.
The staff is wonderful and they treat her like a second mother. They take good care of her and they keep me on the loop. I really appreciate that because her memory is very bad. If there's any problem, they call me and get me involve in it. However, they need to improve on the food. But they have a new personnel manager and he is working on that.
