I went ahead and took my father to Redstone Village. It was the only place available in Huntsville, so that was a big issue. The quality is very good. It's a very good place. It's very clean. Everyone's been very friendly. My father has only been there for a few weeks, but the staff seems nice enough. The place is very clean and very nice, and they've got a lot of amenities. They have a salon. They have an in-house store, like if they need toothpaste or any kind of toiletries, they can go there and get those and that's a good thing to have. The place is extremely expensive, but it's the only place I could find. The quality is good though.

I went to Redstone Village, but they didn't have an opening in the area my father was qualified for. It looked like it would have been a very, very good place for him, but it was way more expensive. They didn't take me to the room because my father wasn't qualified for assisted living there. Because he doesn't manage his own medicine, they wanted him in the skilled nursing. But they didn't have an opening there, so they couldn't show me anything. But going into the front of the assisted living area, it looked like a nice little community with lots of amenities, and the people that I saw that were there looked very happy. They had an ice cream shop, a little store, a hairdressing place, and a little community where they could just go in. It reminded me of going into a nice little town and just having a nice day shopping or doing things. The place seemed clean. The staff members were very informative and helpful. They're very good.

I went to visit Redstone Village. What I like best about it was that the community looked good and well-managed by the staff as best as we could tell. We met some of the people who live there, they seemed to enjoy being there. Of all the places we've visited, Redstone stands out in the comprehensiveness of what they cover from independent living through memory care and nursing specialists as a person progresses. Once you get into their independent living there, you are in their system so you can stall all the way through at a better rate. The staff were very knowledgeable and had a lot of understanding of senior living challenges and know how to manage that. I had a meal there with my mom and it was very good. The campus' facilities were nice and well kept, they had a lot of variety of things, and they brought in a lot of regular activities going every day.

I toured Redstone Village, which is a very nice community. They have a lot of different areas for living. They have a bunch of different options, and the views were really great from the rooms. I saw multiple sizes for the rooms, and they were all acceptable. The bigger rooms were very nice. Unfortunately, they don't have a gym, a pool, or a salon onsite. It is on the lower end of the cost scale. The rooms and facilities were very nice, even though it's missing some of those amenities. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. They talked to us with respect and gave us a lot of different options. They were renovating rooms, so that was good. The facilities were only about 20 years old, and some of the carpeting looked a little dated. Overall, it was very nice.

Redstone Village was very, very nice. The only objection I had was its location. It's in a busy part of town. The place was very acceptable. In fact, it was our second choice. The only thing I did not like about it was all of the facilities were not congregated in one location. You had to go distances to eat. You had to go to a distance to get to your mailbox. Everything was away from the center of activity. That was the only complaint we had. The staff was very courteous. They were Johnny on the spot. They were good people. The dining facility was very nice and elegant. It was a high-end restaurant. The apartment was exactly what we were looking for, as far as the layout and the size of the units. Everything was great. The one we visited was a two-bedroom unit with a kitchen facility. It had full washer dryer utility room, a pantry, and two bathrooms. The rooms were very nice sized. It had excellent views outside. We were very pleased with it. They had the underground parking garage, which I really did like. They had their swimming pool facility, a physical training site, and a bistro. Everything that you would need was there. They had excellent upkeep and maintenance.

My mother was in Redstone Village for respite after she broke her hip. It was more expensive than where my mother is currently, and it was very nice. She was in a little efficiency type room, it was nice, very clean, and well-kept. But it was small, it wasn't like the little apartment she's got in her current community. She was just there for a short time, so she didn't have an apartment there, she just had a recovery room. The food there was really good. That was the nicest place we've been. They were really expensive for us to go back to because we couldn't afford them. They continued her rehabilitation there for a month, and when she could walk again, she went back home.

Redstone Village has a very caring staff and a family-like feel community. They have nice private rooms and they're spacious. The grounds were gorgeous with beautiful views. It's just nature all the way around, you don't feel like you're in a medical facility or anything. They have a lot of amenities and they're a little pricier, but not really that much in the long run. They have a good menu and the facility is beautiful and very clean. The property is very spacious and it has independent living, assisted living, memory care, and even hospice onsite, so it covers all the levels.

I toured this community recently and was so impressed with the cleanliness and the amenities available to residents. The food was outstanding and I was impressed that the Director of Dining checked on us as we finished eating. The staff there seem knowledgeable and caring! And what views!

Redstone is a beautiful community with a long history of providing great care and services in the Huntsville area. I have has several friends that have worked there and love the family/friendly environment. It's such a benefit to have all the care levels on one campus - a true continuum of care. Exceptional location and views as well.

My wife did rehab at Redstone Village. It was very good. She's been there a couple of times. The staff was very attentive to her needs. It's a beautiful facility. The rooms were large and very nice. The nurses were very good and on the ball. Every month, they would put out a schedule of what they were going to have and what time it was, and they had an activities director. They'd come around to your room and let you know what they got coming and what they got that day. They had churches come in and sing, games, singing, and all kinds of activities. If you wanted a list, they'd be glad to send you one. They had a monthly schedule and they put that on your wall in your room, so you knew what was coming up. It's a large area. They had assisted living and independent living and you could rent or buy homes in there if you had enough money.

Absolutely the worst care. Putting my mom there was the worst decision and I will regret it always. The staff has horrible attitudes, the food was a congealed mess that was inedible. Which led to her being released and put back in the hospital for DEHYDRATION! She was given the wrong meds and I truly suspect the staff did it on purpose to "keep her quiet". It is not a rehab - it is where you go if you want to die. I think they should be shut down.

We're familiar with Redstone Village. It is a beautiful senior living facility. I took my parents there when they entertained the soldiers during the war. They had that activity and a free lunch too. We went to that and got a tour. We saw the independent and assisted living areas. They have a swimming pool, an exercise room, a beautiful dining room with white tablecloths, a small library, and a game room. The staff members were very helpful and very nice.

Redstone Village was beautiful and sophisticated. What I liked best was you can get a la carte services even with independent living. We saw the independent living only.

This place is a gold plated pig’s ear. The staff are untrustworthy as you can’t count on them to dispense medicine as directed by hospital staff. Didn’t have a backup pharmacy for immediate access to medication when transferred from hospital setting. Physical therapy is there in name only. Staff are woefully trained in handling falls, turning bathing and other fundamentals. If you do send someone to this facility you need to make frequent unscheduled visits to check in on your loved one. This is pretty much the case at any of these facilities, but given what you pay for the service you should see a fair return rather than what you actually get. My biggest gripe was the departure day the physical therapist dropped my mom on a certification transfer. She didn’t know what to do so left the room and basically fled the scene. Two goon female nurses were going to drag her up by hand and I asked if they had a mega mover. They looked at me with a blank look so I knew then they had little or no training. Went to my vehicle and pulled mine from my emergency kit. Instructed the nurse and other staff on its use, being personally involved myself, and got my mom back on the bed safety for all. This was frightening to see how little prepared they were given falls likely take place here often. A sign of little or no management and proper supervision.

My experience here at Redstone Village is very good, but it's very expensive. They've got a great variety of activities, I even participate in a singing group and Bible study. It's got very nice facilities and the parking is underground. They have a beautiful hospice and rehab area, and it's very convenient to shopping. The food is good and the staff is very good.

My wife and I have lived in a "Villa" or small house at Redstone Village for almost four years. We are absolutely happy that we made the decision to move here. We are in our late seventies and, thank the Lord, still able to do many of the things we enjoyed when we lived in our home in town. But here we have a delicious meal, chosen from a menu with many options (don't have to plan, cook or clean up). Plus we eat with different friends enjoying a very pleasant meal together. The facility: dining room, swimming pool, fitness/exercise rooms, game rooms, hallways, outside garden areas, etc. are beautifully designed, very "high class." The Life Care program we are on is far better and more inclusive than any "long-term care insurance" could provide. Not having to maintain a home, pay property tax, mow and trim grass, repair and paint, etc. is enjoying "retirement". The staff is very caring , courteous and helpful. We had been impressed with their friendly attitude from visits here long before we moved in. New hires are carefully screened and pickup quickly on the overall positive attitude

Redstone Village was a very deluxe set-up. It's fairly new with first-class facilities. They have nice rooms, and they have rehab facilities for people who qualify. They also have activities like TV, games, and singing. The staff member who assisted us was very nice. We talked about some of the options for my mom and the issues involved there.

I found Redstone Village to be an exceptionally clean, nice, and well-decorated facility. The residents appeared to be well cared for. I only met the marketing director, who was very nice. I have heard from some other people who have family members there, that the employee turnover is quite high, and this is a bit concerning to me. The rooms were very nice and right off the main living area. They were quite small, but I understand they do that to allow the residents to feel secure and to encourage them to go out into the common area. You bring your own furniture, which is nice.

Redstone Village was not very personal and seemed more like a facility, not a home. They showed us a couple of different-sized rooms, and it was pretty expensive. The staff who toured us was very nice.

We visited Redstone Village and took a tour. The facility was nice, but their expense plan of financing was not a good option for us. We only met one person. We were there on a weekend, and it was kind of surprising that we did not see more staff, but she was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were very pretty and very modern. The facility itself was pristine. We saw that they go out for bowling, and they had a swimming pool. They play card games, and they take trips to the movies. They had a full calendar of things to do. They had church activities too. There were plenty of options. They had a small exercise room so that would have been good too. The dining room was big. It was very nice. It sounded like they had good menu options. They had like 5 standard things that you can get in every meal, and then they had three different things at each meal as well. It sounded flexible. The facility was in a good location and was well maintained.

A friend of mine was happy at Redstone Village with the care and the attention that she is getting. The facility has a beautiful view and it's very clean and neat. She thinks that the place is wonderful and she's making lots of friends. They play bridge almost every day and they have a lot of going on. They have church there and she is very happy.

I'm in the process of moving into this community. I have a one-bedroom place at Redstone Village. The people have been very accommodating, and they have put in some furniture that I would need. My apartment is in the independent living, and when your health goes downhill and you need some assistance, you shift over to their assisted living facility. If you continue to go downhill, you go to the skilled nursing facility, and the fourth facility they have is for people whose minds are just not functioning properly. It is expensive, but I would absolutely recommend this place. Redstone Village is kept up exceptionally well. The view is gorgeous. They keep the grounds completely. They take care of the yardwork, and they have "safety people" 24/7, so there has been no problem of people getting in who are not supposed to be there. Also, the independent living restaurant is really nice. They have facilities for workouts and therapy. Everything I need to have as good a lifestyle as possible is at Redstone Village, and I'm pleased about that.

My husband was in Redstone Village for rehab. It was very nice. They had a lot of help, and everybody was very friendly, nice, and informative. There were meals at the table, and they fed them good food. He said it was like going out to eat because he could order anything. He had steak, roast, and vegetables every day. We had no problems whatsoever.

Redstone Village is absolutely excellent. They have on-site physical therapy which most of them have. We were the first group that they'd ever had and there were like eight of us and the experience was great. The food was good and I had a shower in my room. I had a private room and it was very clean. At that time, they did have Alzheimer's patients on the same floor as the people who were going for PT. They have a memory care center that's all built in a circle and so the people think that they live in a community. They're like in little individual homes but it's all in a circle and it's the neatest idea. They're just more of the upscale, probably the most that we have here in Huntsville, Madison area. They could go in a store and buy something or the ladies could go to the beauty shop and they're a real community. They were wonderful and I would like to go back there.

My grandmother stayed at Grandview Gardens. She loved it there. She enjoyed the meal service and the social activities that the staff provided for residents. The floor staff truly cared about her well-being and made sure she got the best care possible. The facilities were very nice. She was able to make a cozy home for herself there without feeling cramped into a clinical feeling space. The apartments had good light, functional layout and the necessary safety equipment to provide an excellent balance of maximum independence with easy access to help when needed. Grandview Gardens was also very supportive of our family as we transitioned my grandmother from home care to a facility. It was difficult for my mother to face this necessary change in my Grandmother's living arrangements. They were very helpful to her. When I would visit my Grandmother, I could tell that she was happy there. I could also tell that the staff truly cared. That was important to me and my family.

This place is amazing. The facility is clean and very inviting. The people there are very pleasant. Making sure to tend to your every need, I have never felt as if I was not taken care of. A charming place that has a lot of class depth. If anyone in Alabama who is thinking about placing a loved one in an assisted living center, then I recommend this one for sure. Also the other people who live there are all so friendly, which makes it easier for me to feel comfortable meeting new people.
