A relative of mine was at this facility for about 3 years. Due to the lack of help, the care is sub par. My aunt was put into a diaper even though she was able to care for herself. Aides do not respond when you ring the bell for assistance and there is no communication between staff and family members. Food is terrible, bed area is not sanitary and there were little or no social activities. High turnover of staff too. My aunt passed with little or no communication from management so we couldn't say our last good byes.

I WOULD NOT SEND MY WORST ENEMY TO THIS FACILITY! It is dirty and smells like urine all the time. Cleaning is not thorough and there is NO hand sanitizer anywhere!!! Floors, fixtures and bathrooms are old, dirty and outdated. Residents are left in bed, shower schedules are not followed due to lack of staffing. My family member has been there for a month and the care is terrible. Staffing is too low, and the food is terrible! There are activities but if you think that handing out donuts is something to do, well the management is mistaken. My family member is bored to tears! Church services on Sundays are cancelled due to lack of staffing? Unacceptable!!! The management is a joke! They yes you to death but nothing gets done. We are currently looking for another facility and filing a formal complaint with the state for lack of senior care.

When we first put my mother in Forest Manor, it was much better. However, over 2 1/2 years that she lived there it went downhill, especially with this new administrator. It is a very clean, bright facility, with good recreation for the patients, but they are unable to keep good staff. The turn over rate is terrible and alot of good nurses and aides have left or got fired!! The food is horrible and they do have a dietician, but I am not quite sure of her job responsibilities?! That's right....she designs a healthy looking nutritious meal plan to show Medicare and Medicaid, which most of the people do not eat!! They have NO Low Salt, Diabetic, Low Cholesterol diets....I was told "this is not a hospital" from the kitchen manager!! They can't even get a piece of toast cause it would be cold by the time they got it.....well solve the problem?!! So they would rather spend the money on diabetic meds than give a nutritious diabetic meal?!! They serve pasta almost every day and desserts with every meal, even to the diabetics!! The food is tasteless!! The kitchen is always short staffed and the mother and daughter in the kitchen on evenings.are not nice to deal with......they will give a cool hamburger on a tea plate with nothing else and when asked to reheat it....I heard them say "she's a pain in my ass"!! Plus they cater only to a few women who are with it! The daughter came out to a patient who asked for a cheesebuger and she put down a cheese hamburger pasta dish and said this is your cheeseburger, now eat it....very nasty! I cannot believe how they treat these elderly people, If that was there parent, would they treat them like that?

Forest Manor was very spacious, they had a lock down unit, and they also had in long-term care. They had a very large physical therapy area and a nice outside area. The atmosphere was not quite as homey; it’s sterile, but it still met the needs of the person we need to find a place for.

Forest Manor is not of nice quality. He didn’t like it at all at the beginning, but they have a new chef, and the food is better now.

What a great experience we had at F.M. I can't believe the reviews I saw on here, I experienced none of this. Great place, friendly and clean. Highly recommended.
